Bought a car last Jan, Audi category N. Told me it was minor damage. Got AA to do an inspection, said few things wrong but an ok car. He sorted the things wrong and i bought the car. A couple of months later the car failed, dashboard lit up like blackpool illuminations. Down to a faulty ABS sensor that had been repaired on the side of the category N side. £365 to be repaired. Took to a friend to change a tyre and he said ur wheels arent straight you need to get this looked at. Took to a specialist and to VW for a 2nd opinion. Said work to hopefully (but not definitely get this sorted was £1,200). Possible twisted chassis and damage to sub frame. Got in touch with manor motors who said it was fine when he sold it to me. Told me the AA inspection said it was ok. The AA inspection was clearly not done properly and i thought by paying the AA that this would assure me a decent car. I couldnt have been more wrong. Asked Adam at Manor motors to pay for the repairs to the car but he said no. Ive today been in touch with citizens advice and will persue this until the end. DONT TOUCH THIS DEALERSHIP WITH A BARGE POLE BECAUSE IVE JUST SEEN SOME AWFUL REVIEWS ON HERE AND WISHED I HAD SEEN THEM BEFORE I HAD BOUGHT THE CAR. He understated the damage to the car and said it was minor and from VW point of view the experts say this is major damage. Told me this was his family car and that he had sold it to his sister and she had had it for ages

a Bought a car from him described as excellent body work, front bumper broken in two places stuck together, side skirts cracked and broken, one side stuck up with insulating tape. returned the car right away. They are refusing to give me my money back of 5000 pounds so on citizens advice am taking him to court. do not deal with this person.

my review above, manor street motors after a few weeks decided to give me back 4500 of my money, but said they were keeping 200 pounds deposit and 300 delivery, so I started a court claim on the internet which anyone can do cost me 35 pounds to claim 500, they informed manor street motors who suddenly decided rather than go to court to pay me the 500 pounds.so my advice to anyone who has been ripped off by a used car dealer is to take them to court.you can do it online.

this is the latest about my review above, manor street motors refunded me after a few weeks the sum of 4500 saying they were going to keep the 200 pounds deposit and 300 pounds delivery, so I started an online court claim suddenly manor street motors decided to give me back the 500 pounds rather than go to court, so my advice in dealing with disonest used car dealers is to take them to court, you can start the claim online.
I would definitely not recommend this trader. The car had significant problems two days after purchasing the vehicle (which was confirmed my the Audi dealership). The trader would not take the car back and after five months of seeking advice from trading standards and CAB I did receive a reduced refund losing a significant amount of money. The car was not driveable and I had to buy another car.
The car was not as it looked. There was a broken glove box, broken centre box then after 1 month of buying the car I get red lights come on and the dealer just shrugged it of after 3 months my dpf packs in and my car is no longer road worthy now, looking at paying over £700 to fix to which the dealer 'manor street motors' replied it is not our problem, think you will find it is!' Not impressed at all.
The staff at Manor Street Motors were very nice, they made me a cup of tea and took me round the forecourt. I was able to test drive 2 different cars and take my time, the whole process was really relaxed and it was a pleasure to do business with them.
