I purchased a car for my 18 year old son, I explained it was important I needed a safe car as he had only recently passed his test. I took the car back the following day as the engine light came on, and after expert advice was told that the clutch had gone amongst other defects and was unsafe. After numerous calls MARK ANDREWS stopped all communication and 3 days later I returned home from work to find the car on my drive which had been dropped off by a recovery vehicle. They left the car key in an external post box which was accessible by anyone without a note or explanation. I had cancelled the insurance for my son when I returned the car as I'd made myself very clear I wanted my deposit returned and to cancel the agreement. I cannot believe in this country companies and individuals run their business this way. Let me make this very clear MARK ANDREWS I will not leave this, you've picked on the wrong woman this time, I will not let you get away with this and will make sure your company name is exposed for what it in anyway I possibly can, via Facebook, Trading Standards, Local Media and the law. Are you ready??

I would just like to thank Chris and the wonderful young lady in the Dumfries branch of Mark Andrews. They were both very courteous and helpful and made selecting and purchasing a car a highly enjoyable and stress free experience. I would highly recommend them to anyone looking to purchase a car. Thank you!!!
Went to view cars on 30 April. None of the cars on the web site were at the show room. They took a £200 deposit. I didn't buy a car as they kept changing the monthly figure so I said we will leave it and asked if my deposit could be returned. They said it would take 5 days. I gave them till Monday the 9 May and called them Head office said they know nothing about it that was after Nuneaton had said they had sent it to head office. I called head office again and was told I had bought a Focus. I didn't even buy a car from them. I have called about ten times since then trying to get my deposit back. They say they will call back and never do. It is now the 13 May and still cant get anyone to sort my deposit out. What kind of company is this... Luckily I didn't buy a car. The place I bought a car from returned my holding deposit within a day. I would not recommend this place to anyone.

Please could mark andrews have the decency to tell me what they are going to do about my deposit... By deleting my report and blocking me on your FB page is not solving the problem... I hope you dont steal from all your customers..

I am in the same persition they have taken over 2 weeks already, to return my deposit of £795 they still have not refunded it and now they are saying they are making a 'tornado payment' and will be in my account within 24 hours i highly doubt this and they seemed to be mocking me when referring to this payment? Cannot believe company's like this exist!! Any advice would help massively. Thanks

I have sent my friends and family to mark Andrews and they also are very satisfied . So everyone at mark Andrews car sales keep your heads up high and keep producing a quality business . Please give me your product / book link I would like to thank you for helping to make the purchase on the Nissan hassle free . Any challenges were sorted out and your friendly and courteous personality will ensure that when and if we decide to change our car we will most definitely use Mark Andrews Used Cars again
I had no problem with them and I found them actually quite nice to deal with. They were professional and well dressed, and they spoke with confidence about the car, which made me buy it! Very happy with my purchase.
I came to Mark Andrews in January 2015 after provisionally being granted finance via Facebook. I got my dad to take me who didn't even want to walk in the "garage" lol! Alarm bells rang but like every other Mark Andrews customer I stayed because I wanted a car so bad. I was shows a picture and was to come back in a week to collect the car but first you sign the finance and leave. I went back after week to test drive and collect the car ( after numerous mixs ups). I then was given the paperwork and keys for my vehicle (still not even test drove) the "salesman" dal then said il take you to your car that was in the supermarket aldi not even on the garage site. He threw me the keys and said I'm off to lunch. I was gobsmacked, but again there was my shiny carrot sorry I mean car that had made me endure this whole circus act in the first place. So I drove an hour and a half home beaming, for one week later to have a crack in the water bottle... Minor detail on my shiny carrot sorry car. Then the abs light came on so contacted Marc Andrews to tell them it was on. He said no worries darling bring it down and it will be attached to the computer and cleared....... Now I know I'm a female but even I know you don't just clear things so playing the dum one I stated that if my car hadn't been serviced the warranty wasn't valid so I would take it to a local garage and first have it serviced by them to then use the wonderful facility of the 12 months warranty. I could then hear the desperation in his voice as he said no no don't do that don't worry about the car not being serviced just bring it to us. I took it to my local garage and had it re mot'd and low and behold it failed. I contacted them and was told by someone who I quote said "THERE WAS NOTHING I COULD DO ABOUT IT!!! Avoiding the urge to drive my car straight through there "showroom" window I contacted trading standards. I then contacted the financial ombudsman who acted very professionally (Mark Andrews could learn a thing or two). Mark Andrews decided to ask for my car to go to an independent garage of their choice to rule out foul play in my behalf and low and behold the garage deemed the car unroadworthy and dangerous!!!! The car never even had airbags. So Mark Andrews after telling me "THERE WAS NOTHING I COULD DO" and deleting any reviews off of Facebook, how did it feel taking back your heap of junk car (with one years added mileage) and paying back all my money plus compensation!!!!

Sounds like they had you over mate, like my girlfriend. Very pressurised selling.
Do not consider Mark Andrews Used Cars. I purchased a Mercedes A180 from them in January. I felt very pressured into buying the car and was not offered a test drive. On the way home I noticed the SRS light on the dash and problems with the brakes. Going through them and the warranty company all 4 brake pads and discs were replaced, after having to obtain a second opinion. The SRS apparently falls within the 'diagnostics' stage and the warranty will not pay. I have had 4 months of calling Mark Andrews in Nuneaton (where I bought the car) and the head office 'after sales' team. I have been told on numerous occasions that it will be paid, that the money has been sent by a business account, they would send an instant transfer and even been offered cash if I go to the Nuneaton showroom in person (I live in Cambridgeshire so not just going to 'pop in'). I am not sure their 'after sales' team exist as cannot ever get through to them and they never return my messages. Even after ringing head office stating I was calling to complain and wanting to speak to a mamager I was told they were all busy and to call back! Not worth all the stress and hassle we have been out through. Due to a non-fault accident the car has been deemed a total loss and even though I could have been a potential returning customer they cannot be bothered to sort this issue out.

Call trading standards.... finance company and ombudsman services plus express and star if you fancy it. I've been mis sold a car thats not fit for purpose and after multiple letters and calls still wont resolve issue..... after sales manager is no use either and all problems go through him so the fact of it all is your going get nothing from them in terms of help.
I would strongly suggest that you avoid using this company. I was left sitting in the corner for at least 3 hours as they fobbed me off by 'trying to find me a better deal'. I got finance for a silver 57 plate Astra. (Originally I told the sales guy that I only wanted a black or grey car but I could handle silver). I had to wait a week for the car to be delivered to the showroom and when I drove the hour and a half back through to collect the car...it was a completely different car. 57 plate Astra but Blue! After I signed all the documents and you see the car in the light the wing mirror was broken and there was a chip in the windscreen, I was then told that the warranty already know about this all I had to do was phone then up and they'd get it sorted with a garage nearer to home. Upon looking closer at the car when I got home there is just so much more wrong with it. Oh and shock, you can't get a hold of the warranty company. I would urge anyone reading this to not use this company as you'll have nothing but a headache to show from it. I have been in touch with Trading Standards because a company should not advertise a type of service and then not follow through with it.
Mark Andrews from Mark Andrews Used Cars in response to Tracey
Tracey, first of all I'm disappointed to hear you are unhappy with the service and purchase from us , I would point out though at this stage that at no point would you be forced to take ownership or sign for any vehicle without you being completely happy to do so and you would have to re signed documents if the vehicle was different to the original one your selected. In regards to any issues the warranty is operated by an indpendant company and this is the first time I have heard of any difficulty in being reached. If you would be kind enough to call our head office 01902 404345 and speak to myself personally I will be more than happy to have all and any issues your experiencing rectified for you at our expense. Once again though I'm sorry to hear your are disappointed but we sell in excess off 100 cars per week and occasionally things can be over looked but customer satisfaction is paramount to us so if you contact me at your convienence this can be resolved for you many thank Mark Andrews
