Think and think and think before you EVER buy or SIGN any contracts with this VW Grimsby Marshall branch. They sold me a car priced at £18880 and when I signed on the day of purchase, the paperwork was ready for £19000; they informed me that the difference of £120 will be taken off if I buy a policy. I bought a policy- Cosmetic Repair Insurance- in which they told me it was worth £399. Recently, I had cancelled this policy to later find that the actual price of this policy is £279 NOT £399. When I asked the sales manager of this branch about the missing £120, he continuously denied the matter of any missing money. At one point, after I challenged him with some of my evidence, he admitted to what he called a “mistake” and informed the he owes me some money. The sales manger told me to give him 15 minutes to recalculate and readjust the accounts and find a way to pay me back; he never called me back despite my attempts to call him. On the 4th day of waiting, I drove to the branch with my daughter, trying to speak to him, as I was advised by my solicitor, he had changed his mind. He sounded confused, didn’t have much to say apart from continuously saying that “we don’t owe you anything, the paper work is right”. He was a poor example of a manager, he rolled his eyes every time I was trying to speak, he lacked very simple manners and it’s very shameful that he speaks on behalf of a big car dealer. Thereby, following this events, it’s safe to say that I will be taking this matter to my solicitors for further actions as their conduct does not seem to present respect nor honesty to their customers. They will trick you, they trick a lot of customers through schemes such as the Cosmetic Repair Insurance or Tire Insurance (the branch will sell you policies like these above their value, manipulating their customers).

Took my VW polo for a battery fault to Marshall VW Grimsby which was replaced under Warranty and even got a call back from the Manager the next day to confirm no fault with the electrics. Excellent service overall.
I have had excellent service from this Grimsby VW Garage, from the sales and the service section, Angela Hudson and Craig the workshop controller were especially helpful and professional. A J367 control unit had to be replaced recently under warranty and they were first class throughout. I highly recommend this garage, they are by the best I have used in this area.

I had a 100 mile round trip to Marshall Volkswagen in Grimsby just to verify the service history of a golf I had just purchased having spoke to the service receptionist who decided I wasn't entitled to the information I managed to aquire an audience with the general manager who endeavoured to explain because of the GDPR laws he wasn't at liberty to confirm or deny the service history of the vehicle I have purchased and arrogantly explained the information recorded on their computer was for their reference alone!!!!! Decided to get VW customer care involved who advised me he was wrong to do so and they will be contacting me shortly!!!! I await with baited breath!! Considering VW PR of recent times I expected more after all I was just wanting confirmation of a service history!!!!
Had a full MOT and service thorugh Marshall VW in Grimsby and had nothing but problems, one of them being a failure on MOT, Got a second opinion from the same guys in the workshop and it passed absolutely fine, not even an advisory for the failure.
I have never experienced anything like this when buying a car. i chose to go through the Marshall VW dealership in Grimsby as i had such fantastic service from Lincoln for my last car but this is a absolute joke. still not got my car that i paid for over a week again now, they have scratched it, they cant stick to their promises that they have given me verbally or on video hand overs. it is to the point now where if its not sorted in the next day we are cancelling our purchase and demanding our money back because the whole purchase has be an absolute joke the whole way through, even though they have had opportunities to make this experience better they have just made things worse by not following through on promises.
Marshall of Grimsby were really helpful, especially because we lived over 100 miles away. Sales executive Cameron went literally out of his way to make our purchase of a t-roc from them happen. Can not fault our experience with Marshall, even when we had a small hiccup, it was delt with straight away.

The worst customer service I have EVER received. The so-called manager at Marshall Volkswagen in Grimsby is beyond useless. The porn star dolly bird they employ on service hasn't received any customer service training and really embodies their total image - looks good on the outside, bit rough around the edges and not put together well (no substance!) Not a professional look, I find it totally inappropriate to be honest. No please or thank yous. Patronising way to talk to people. Clueless on service info or technical. Did not fix my car as agreed, recall done only on one component, not the 3 others as they told me they would. Serviced elsewhere as I had no confidence in their work! Over priced and can't believe they are still a VW franchise. Google reviews on this place before considering them!
I found Marshall Volkswagen in Grimsby to be rude and unprofessional. The CEO does not reply to emails and the company director refused to back up his comments in writing either. Leaving me curious as to why. I would strongly recommend that anyone having any recall work carried out by this company double checked by an independent technician. Good luck with them. You may need it. One star is too high a rating if I'm honest. A minus rating would be too generous.
I bought my son a new VW polo the car came with a service plan for 3 services, he didn't do much mileage and on his 2nd service having only done 10,000 miles he was told he had only one service left so not to use it until he had done more mileage. The car is nearly 4 years old now and has done 19000 miles he tried to book it in only to be told he should have used the last service within the 3 years. The car is a great car but now feel very cheated, I can only put this down to poorly trained staff and naive young drivers who believe everything and don't get things written down. The garage has offered a service at 50% reduction but still leave me the farther with £75 to pay another hard lesson learn't.
