I am unfortunate enough to have Marshall’s as my closest dealer. Their service department is incompetent, often incorrect, upsells expensive services needlessly, staff are rude, the service manager is frankly clueless. I would suggest Landrover Boston (I ended up buying my car there, as Marshall’s couldn’t find the car I selected in their own car park! ) My experience is that they are going from bad to worse

Booked an oil service for my Range Rover it came back with oil spots and drips down the engine and loose bolts and missing bolts on engine tray. And service light was not reset in the vehicle reported it back to service department with pictures but no reply
9th February On 9th February 2024 I booked my vehicle, a Range Rover Vogue, in for a service and MOT at Marshalls Peterborough online to take place on 7th March 2024. This booking including a loan vehicle. 6th March At 16:28 on the 6th March (day before the service) I was phoned to say that no loan car would be available – not particularly helpful 16 hours before I was due to drop the vehicle off. 7th March Having made other arrangements to get from and back to the dealership I dropped the vehicle at 8am on the 7th March. Having not had any contact by 16:08 I checked online at the DVLA website and could see that my vehicle had failed (headlight) so I phoned the dealership for an update. They called back at 16:20 and told me it had failed as the headlight bulb had partially blown and would need a new one. 8th March No contact until 16:23 when I had a call to say bulb changed but not fixed 14th March After no contact for 6 days, I phoned the dealership at 9:35 to be told that the service advisor would call me back – no call back was received I checked the DVLA website again at 16:30 and could see that the MOT had now been passed 15th March I called the dealership at 15:01, 15:06, 15:11, 15:20 and no answer At 16:36 I received a call saying that the call was ready for collection – no apology and no explanation of what had gone wrong and why it had taken so long At this point the service advisor emailed me the inspection video 16th March I collected the car, on getting to the carpark I checked the invoice that I had just paid to find that I had still been charged for the loan car that the dealership couldn’t provide. I went back in and got this refunded. Questions I would ask the following: Why was the issue with providing a loan car discovered so late? Why no contact during the day of the service, why did I have to check DVLA and then phone? Why did it take 6 working days to change a lightbulb? Why did it take another whole working day to then contact me to tell me it was then ready (passed on the 14th, told at 16:36 on 15th)? Why was my call not returned on the 14th? Why were phones not answered on the 15th? Why was loan car still included on original invoice?

Absolute pleasure to deal with the sales team up at Marshalls Peterborough. Sarah and Mike went over and above to make our purchase as smooth as possible. Nothing was too much trouble and everyone made us feel very welcome. Cannot recommend the Peterborough branch highly enough and we will definitely be returning when we decide to upgrade again. Thank you Sarah and Mike again, you are both super stars!!!!

"Your Approved vehicle from Land Rover is prepared to the highest standards as you would expect." FAR from it. The day I collected the car the engine management light was on and the car then had to go in 7 times within the first year for a variety of problems. 4 weeks ago my car fully broke down and they are now telling me it needs a complete new engine, with 58,000 miles on the clock! After multiple phone calls mostly due to the service manager not calling me back as promised they have shown zero sympathy with me, only to tell me they won't be able to make any contribution to my £7500 bill which they have quoted me. I should have listened to all my friends who told me to stay away and sell the car after all the problems in year 1. Believe me I wish I did! I certainly won't be buying another Land Rover!!!

Deposited on a new landrover 110 I ordered back in September 2021 paid £1000 deposit to get a call on the 29 March 2022 to say my order has been cancelled,not the first time I had an issue with Marshalls landrover,never will deals with marshall landrover ever again,save yourself time and shop elsewhere total waste of time they had my money for 6 months then to cancel on me, 0 rating for me

On purchasing a brand new discovery, all was agreed and a collection date arranged. On arrival to collect the car, we found that they did not have the paperwork ready and due to covid we had to wait outside (fully understand this). However, we were waiting for two and half hours outside whilst they tried to sort the paperwork. Due to various reasons in the end, we had to pay an extra £3,300 to be able to take the car on the promise we would get this back once the paperwork had been sorted. After hearing nothing for a week we contacted them only to be told they would not honour the original price on our part exchange and we would have to pay the extra now after all. I understand there was a problem with our car causing this initial situation (wasn't aware of the problem with the car prior to taking it to them though!), It was a constant battle with them so in the end I returned the new car and asked for a refund. They happily took the car but now that it comes to getting my money back, I'm getting the brush off again and a week after returning my car have still not had my money back. I also know that they have sold my car again already! Their service is absolutely diabolical and each person in that show room does not seem to know what the other one is doing. I have no doubt I will get my money back but it certainly isn't 'straight away' as they promised. Stay well clear of this place!!
Dishonest, unreliable and straight up liars. Car negations went well on a used vehicle. After a week of negations and research before spending my hard earned cash, a price was agreed and it was stated to me the car was ready to go. I informed them I would come to collect a day and a half later. A few hours following, I received an email that the car had just been sold. It is still for sale at a lower price than advertised but higher than our agreed price and apparently it is not ready to go with curbed alloys and scratched door. Maybe they did not want to honour the price or the description was incorrect and it was in worse condition than they stated. Unless you live within a 5 mile radius don't waste your time with Marshall Land Rover in Peterborough.

I recently visited Marshall's Jaguar to buy my F Pace and the whole experience was really quick and easy and the the dealers were extremely knowledgeable and helpful. I am happy with the price of the car and I have had no issues with it at all. I would recommend this dealership.
