My daughter bought a very low (30k) mileage 04 Golf Automatic, for £4,000. When test driving noticed engine management warning light was on. They managed to fix it / get it through the MOT (otherwise it would have failed). Unfortunately the light came on again within a couple of weeks of purchase. She gave them the option of taking the car back or fixing the fault. I spoke to Martin who was very helpful and said that it would be better to return the car for a refund, as he could not guarantee curing the problem. She returned the car her payment was refunded by Kirk who is in charge of sales. Unfortunately these things happen - looks like this car is what I believe the trade call 'a lemon'.

poor customer service , With height sight I would not have purchased my vehicle from this seller. As a first time buyer the experience of buying a car seem overwhelming this isn’t helped by pushy sales tactics and bad attitudes . I found this seller online and received a rather rude reaction when informing the seller I’d be paying by finance . During the process I was told they had only had the vehicle for a week which I knew was a lie as I had been looking at the car a month beforehand online . But I let the comment slide thinking not much if it . After the first 3 weeks of having the car I’ve had to replace a tyre which I discovered was 10 years old and replace a head light . No manual was included in the car and I felt the process was rushed and uncomfortable. When calling back with questions about the vehicle I’ve received rather rude and argumentative attitude and there’s always an excuse for not looking into something. I won’t return for future business and if I need work done to my car I will be going else where .

I have to agree, most rude sales staff I've ever met. Attitude was basically 'buy it if you want, I don't really care'. Car I sore had many faults, seller didn't care, is what it is mate. I wouldnt recommend a visit

My father purchased a X type jag a while back.... What a night here the whole experience has made me ill. After advising I was going to seek advice reluctantly I got a refund..... Very poor service. The was not as described and in fact a tired cleaned up car with huge issues. Beware
I found Martin Powley Motor Services back in March on Auto Trader, nice looking place with good cars, I bought a Vauxhall Meriva which had a couple of issues which they fixed up no problem.
