I wrote a bad review regarding this guy and I was wrong to do so. My husband bought a car yesterday and he had a small problem. Rob couldn't have been more concerned. He kept in touch with my husband making sure he was ok. I am waiting for the other review to be deleted. He actually cares about his customers.
Bought my 2nd car off Mellor Trading, bought unseen and was amazed by how nice it was ! Great car easy transaction would definitely recommend.

Bought an Alfa in August. Clutch completely wornout. According to the garage employee it was absolutely ok, I should get used to it! No warranty at all. Replaced clutch, paid myself, sent invoice to the garage, instead of full refund £450 with discount, they paid me back 300. And still waiting for the legal warranty!

I sold this car to a customer who claimed to be a social worker, at this time lots of customers claim this to get discount. 3 or 4 weeks later I had some paperwork sent to me and it was some servicing receipts and old mots. I noticed that the car had a clutch replacement around 4,000 miles ago ! I realised I would never win with this one so I left it as it was, I’ve been in this job over 40 years and sometimes you just have to take one on the chin and move on !!!!
very nice car in lovely condition, rob was very helpful on the phone and when we collected the car, the car was exactly as described, would highly recommend this seller and would certainly buy from him again, excellent.

Bought the nicest VW Polo i could find, the whole experience was a pleasure we have recommended Mellor trading as this is the second purchase we have made from them.
I bought a S Type Jaguar 2008 from this very likeable person and at first was really pleased with car, so gave him a great review. HOWEVER, after various problems with the car, some smaller costs I incurred the charges myself, including changing the timing belt (not so small), but after discovering the vibration in the car was from two buckled wheels and not tracking/ wheel balancing which I paid for; and the fact I was getting intermitting smoke from the back of the engine I texted Rob to call me to discuss how to resolve these matters ( as we agreed at time of purchase). He didn't answer various messages for a few weeks until I called and left a more concerning message............ Long story short, He was NOT interested and refused to do anything about it and retracted all our purchasing conversation, leaving me to pick up the costs and now looking to process a claim through the small claims court and possibly the Sheriffs! My advice - DON"T RISK IT, don't be taken in with his charms!!!!

Picked this customer up from the airport as he had come from Scotland. He bought a 15 year old Jag S type in amazing condition. Before travelling down he asked me about a warranty. I said because of the age of the car warranty companies won’t do it. I had it serviced and mot’d and said I would cover the engine and gearbox for another month. He loved the car and drove back to Scotland. 3 months later he said the wheels were buckled !!! If they were buckled don’t you think he would of noticed on the drive back to Scotland ? I told him about the warranty period but then claimed I’d said 3 months !! Didn’t hear anything else after the review and my response.
Absolutely fantastic service from Rob at Mellor Trading. Very helpful and honest, a rare commodity. Great price, great communication. Quick and simple process :-)

The Jaguar I bought from Mellor Trading was cheap! I had no issues whats so ever, they were very good. Also it was only 10 miles away from me so didn't have to drive very far! I recommend this dealership.

Bought my first car - A tidy 07 plate Clio from Mellor Trading. Accommodating with being able to collect the vehicle in the evening, test drive and inspection of the car. Being a nervous first timer and not overly mechanically sound, took the vehicle for a full service and check over and pleased to be told the vehicle is in excellent condition. Would recommend.
