Purchased but didn't purchase a new S500. Paid a deposit, finance agreed and was told the car was secured. In the meantime had got valuations for my present car and searched best way to get to Glasgow from where i live. 3 hours later got a phone call from the salesman that he wasn't aware they had already sold the car! Was promised a phone call within the next 24 hours to see if they could locate me another car, never got that call.

Since buying the car the SAT NAV has never worked, this was all OK, spoke to the salesman who arranged a diagnostic review and the repair to follow, informed the part to be replaced was available. Since the car went in yesterday 09.11.21 (after receiving the car 25/09/21) only to be told yesterday they have found the fault and the part now needs to be ordered. Darren did as much as he could and couldn't have been more helpful. Then we were basically told by Graeme the service manager that all previous diagnostics didn't count as they had no record of it and it was impossible to have happened and that the car had never been looked at before, and made me and my partner feel like we were lying. Graham finally said "he is stopping the conversation", stood up and walked away I am feeling very disappointed at the aftersales and service by this particular franchise of Mercedes. One would expect the service to match the high end vehicles that are being sold, or possibly they need to focus their Service Manager's training more on how to deal with customers, either that or he is extremely new to the position, however it is, Graham should not be the "face" of Mercedes or be allowed to interact with customers. Having now dug into previous reviews on other platforms it appears I am not the first to have been treated in this manner. Disappointing after spending so much money to buy a lovely car, my first and last mercedes. Currently still waiting to be contacted by Mercedes to have the satnav fixed after a year of waiting. I quickly got rid of it and returned to Audi, by far a more professional outfit

John McKie New Mercedes. With new cars in short supply Sophie Robertson managed to secure my first Mercedes GLB200 in great time. She was excellent at the handover and showing all the technical details with great knowledge. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend her on buying a Mercedes.
My W204 C class was recalled last October 2021 over the dangerous exploding airbag fiasco they are caught up in. Took a week of bad customer service to get it booked in. Had to wait over two months for a date and time just to get the drivers side done. Mercedes benz are not releasing the passenger side ones despite what the DVLA letter said. (from Stratstones sevice booking agent) Today was the day but I was turned away when I arrived as they cant get the new airbag for the Drivers side. It's on back order for everyone Phoning Stratstone Glasgow is an ardous task. No answer or someone takes your number and promises a call back but don't keep the promise. They would not take my calls for two days prior today and only after driving into Glasgow did I get the bad news that they are shockingly bad at customer care and that they are not assisting me today, nor do they know when it will be. I have checked other dealerships around the UK but it seems that we are just unfortunate to have Stratstone Glasgow Milton St. as our local agent.
Had my eye on a low mileage GLC in the Glasgow showroom phoned up & made an appointment, but after checking the reviews on this page was out off and didn’t turn up for appointment, but after doing a little research I thought I would nip in for a look, viewed the GLC but ended up buying a GLE approved used, trade in value offered was comparable with other dealers, offered test drive without asking, even managed to get two new tyres on the back even though they did meet the minimum tread depth requirement, over all very pleased with the service from Laura & her manager, would buy again if I could afford one

I have just bought a used E Class on line ,a big deal for me , and not to see the car only there pictures , but spoke to Lewis there salesman who answered all my questions and how they would deliver the car to me on the day I wanted free as well , kept me informed about the cars preparation progress and all the on line paper work was excellent. The car arrived on the day agreed and time and looked great considering it was driven to my home in Manchester fully fuelled and ready to go , I have had the car a couple of weeks now still very happy, I dealt with Lewis great service

I enquired about a car, they advised it was in stock but could they call me to discuss it. They called.. tried to sell me a different model, I declined and he promised to email the details about the actual vehicle I wanted to purchase.. still waiting for that email. They obviously advertise cars they do not have to try and create sales leads. Avoid
Having had five Mercs over the years I guess I should know what to expect from MB main dealers. They (all) behave as though they are doing you a favour selling you a car. Absolutely no negotiating. This is it. Take it or leave it. Stratstone Glasgow even have the cheek to add £99 for admin charge. Ultimately the quality of the car is what matters. Too early to tell yet.
When you buy a premium product at a premium price the least you expect is that the company do as they say they will. Called to book a service appointment (due mid September) and was quickly brushed off with 'we'll call you back in 3-4 days' and 7 days later no contact. Stratstone are a liability for Mercedes Benz treating customers like that. Arnold Clark Vauxhall who I dealt with for 10 years were always customer focused I had no issue with their business. A pity that the closest Arnold Clark is in Grangemouth or I would provide them with the business. Stratstone seem to have the attitude that they are doing customers a favour serving them. Mercedes Benz should review this pityful shower and hand the franchise to a company that looks after customers.
