I placed an order for a new shape Mercedes Benz A200 AMG Line Premium Plus with Smartphone Connectivity pack in May 2018 for delivery in September 2018. I placed the order with Myers Goad at Mercedes Benz South West (Exeter), via DriveTheDeal, and made a £500.00 deposit on the 15/05/2018. Between June and August, I e-mailed and left voicemails with Myers several times to enquire about financing the car (i.e. with cash or PCP) but received no e-mails or calls back. I called again in August to enquire about a delivery date and was told that everything was on schedule and I would receive the car in September as planned. On the 14/08/2018, I e-mailed Myers to ask whether it was too late to add to the spec on the car and he specifically stated that the car I had ordered had “left the factory now and is en route” to them and that I could not change the spec at that stage. I made several phone calls between the 14/08/2018 and 14/09/2018 for a delivery date and was told repeatedly that the car had not received a chassis number and thus still did not have a delivery date. 13/09/2018 – Breakthrough. I received an e-mail from Loren Gilbert stating a vehicle registration number plate number for the car I ordered. Her e-mail included a request for the rest of the £5,000.00 deposit and the signing and posting of my finance documents, DVLA Keepers Form and driving licence photocard which I posted back the following day. Then, on the 14/09/2018, Myers stated that the car I had ordered had in fact NOT left the factory despite him having stated on the 14/08/2018 that the car had left the factory and receiving the documentation and request for payment the previous day. At this point, he offered me an alternative car with similar spec, ready for delivery in September 2018. Against my better judgement, I agreed to the alternative car as I wished to take advantage of the 3 years free servicing promotion Mercedes were offering in September 2018. Then, on the 17/09/2018, Myers stated that this alternative car was not available and had in fact been sold already last week – attributing the error to “a glitsch somewhere”. At this point, I had completely ran out of patience and trust in the dealership and requested the full return of my £500.00 deposit immediately which, to their credit, they agreed to. The customer service I received at Mercedes Benz South West has put me off from ever purchasing a Mercedes as, with their lack of communication, contradictory information and contempt towards its customers, I felt treated like I was just another sales figure.

Took my A Class in to Mercedes Exeter for a service, MOT & airbag issue recall in June 2018 (all under warranty). Mercedes-Benz Exeter DAMAGED my car during the service (Damaged suspension when lifting the car) and gave me back the vehicle in the damaged condition. Had to visit a total of 3 times to fix the faults. Terrible service throughout, the initial service mamager was rude, and after I had complained I was told “she was new to the business and I should appreciate there are teething issues with new staff”. They first tried to charge me for the service however the car was under warranty (the charges were later removed by a manager). It felt like My car was being dealt with by amatures. I was very shocked with all of this. I will not be having my car serviced here again after this experience and would not recommend or advise Mercedes of Exeter to anyone unfortunately.
My Audi from Mercedes Benz of Exeter has been brilliant! I have had no issues with it at all. The car was clean and in good shape other than some scratches on the rims but Mercedes Benz of Exeter offered to cover the cost to have them sorted out. The staff were very friendly and helpful.

So far so good! I purchased a Mercedes Benz E200 in August. It was clean and in great condition when I received it and up to now the only issue I have had is with the wipers. I am happy with the price of the car and it drives really well. The dealers have been really helpful and are very knowledgeable. I would recommend.
