The worst garage I’ve ever had the misfortune to deal with. Disgusting lying fraudulent ripp off merchants. Keep well away. Ohh and customer service and staff attitude is in the gutter
I am not one for writing online reviews but today’s experience has annoyed me. There is no doubt, like many, that the purchase experience at this dealership is excellent and salesman Phil was very knowledgeable and great to deal with. The service department however is somewhat lacking. On service days there is a system of checking your key into a locker and recovering it from the same place. It’s a bit like a massive advent calendar. Who thought that this was a good idea to adopt such a system in an attempt to eliminate any personal interaction. How often does anyone bring a car for service without the need to mention issues. If you do ask to speak with a representative there is generally not a problem but you usually have a long wait. I took out a puncture protection policy when I bought the car. I had a slow puncture 2 weeks ago so thought it best to take the car to Mercedes Stockport to help with the Auto Protect policy. I also needed new tyres all round so thought that I would bring the business to them. I was asked to wait and offered a coffee. After one hour and twenty two minutes I walked out without seeing anyone. Took the car to another garage for tyres, only to discover that Mercedes had registered my registration plate incorrectly with the policy company which took an age to rectify. Todays issues: 1) took my car in for service on Monday. The previous week I informed Mercedes Stockport that I wouldn’t be requiring a courtesy car as I would not be able to return it on the same day. However a courtesy car was ready and waiting for me - No communication! 2) Mercedes had informed me that there was a fault with the left and right headlight beam. I phoned and made the service team aware of this to line up the appropriate repair on my service day. The service representative was not aware of this of course - No communication. There was a fault on the main automatic dipping headlight which I reported on arrival. Apparently this has been repaired by recalibration. The same fault and repair which was appaerntly carried out 3 months ago when re-calibration was required following a windscreen replacement ?? No communication. 3) Part of the service is to wash your car. Returning to the dealership to a lovely clean car makes you feel cared for and psychologically makes you think that the service has been carried out professionally and to the standard expected of Mercedes Benz. Although a car wash was expected and indeed promised, there it was, ready for collection as filthy as anything. A poor show and clearly no communication. When challenged, the service representative offered to have the car cleaned (didn’t insist) but intimated that it might take a while because they were so busy. Alternatively I could drop in on another day to have it washed, what a joke. 4) Usually these days you can expect a small video from the service engineer about the condition of various components. Also one expects the service rep to run through a service sheet in order to explain the service schedule and what has been carried out and to let you know what the situation might be in relation to brake pads etc, it’s a courtesy and good practice. I just got handed the keys and was told that everything had a GREEN light and was fine. I am of course brimming with confidence !! Not. 5) I asked if the team could arrange for a touch up paint stick to be available on collection. This wouldn’t be a problem but there might be a cost which was ok. Of course they forgot so I took myself down to the parts department and sorted myself out. No communication. By comparison, I helped my daughter collect her car from service today. Every single expected aspect of the service was met magnificently well! Congratulations VW Oldham, Just because we sometimes buy very expensive quality cars doesn’t mean to say that you will be well cared for after sales. Very very disappointing.
Always professional and lovely to see , the car dealership Stockport Mercedes . Like a hotel for cars new and used. Rick showed me around refining my choice. He sent emails and videos and listened hard to my voice. Answered my queries both professional and prompt. We got down to one car, the car that I want.😊 Would be nice to win a hamper😉

After nearly 40 years of buying cars, due to the atrocious service that I received from Peter Lycett, this is the first time that I have ever felt compelled to write putting my experiences on a customer feedback website to warn other people against using this company at all costs. Through the sale of my part exchange and purchase of my new vehicle I found them dishonest - changing the agreed terms, they promised things that were never delivered upon and continually provided inaccurate information! When the vehicle was finally delivered it was in an appalling state with contents of someone’s kitchen in the boot, stains on the seats and chipped paintwork! This was all from a company who claims to be one of Mercedes largest UK dealers. If you are lucky enough to read this, stay clear. James Light

Paid a £1000 deposit on a car 3 days ago, and just received a call to say they have sold the car to someone else today? How is that logical or legal? Awaiting a manager to get back to me, but the level of service and excuses is unparalleled. Avoid this place as the other reviews are terrible as well.

Engine management light on sensor needed changing charged 2400 for a new turbo that didn’t need doing Andrew King and the other management will not return my calls, disgusting service 2 1/2 weeks. They had my car to-ing and fro-ing saying it was fixed when it wasn’t got it back with a scratch they said they’d look into it three weeks later and several calls no reply.

They answered the phone without any problems, contacted me very quickly ... until I reported that the car was faulty, then they stopped replying to messages, they didn't answer emails, they didn't answer the phone, and when I called the reception they told me they had a day off or they were busy. When I started contacting customer service, either the salesperson or the manager would eventually write back or call back. The manager is cheeky, he made fun of me on the phone. It was impossible to communicate with him at all, he got photos confirming in what condition they sold me the car, and he asked what the problem was. Or maybe this, my dear Mr. manager, that the chassis of the car is total scrap. Modified muffler, no catalytic converter, lost car parts, some parts were not parts of any car at all, disconnected brake block, wires disconnected from sensors so it doesn't show errors, leaks, muffler with holes, accident car, painted front, rear, side. Honestly, I could write a book about the whole situation, it took so long for them to take the car back. Epic fail. The best was girl who gave me the car, asking her a question, said that she thinks that I know more about cars than she, and certainly about Audi, dear girl, I think you don't even know what car dealership you work in, that was your knowledge. Really everyone, do your research before you buy a car from this car dealer or do a very good research on the car. The manager asked if I had even seen the car before I bought it, that now I'm complaining. Yes, you were right, now thanks to you I will check every car, and if necessary, I will lie under them just to avoid such a stressful situation as I had with you. No customer approach, incompetent staff think they will dress in their suits and represent their car dealership well. Not only that, they wanted to cheat me out of money, they deducted some amounts from my deposit, and the truth is that if the car is damaged I have the right to return it within 30 days and get my deposit back, but this time the sales manager learned a lot from me because he was very not informed!!!!! The sales manager is a cheater and a liar, he was supposed to book an appointment with Audi to check the car, he didn't call there at all, I had to find out everything myself and fight for my own. Joke and defeat. And one more thing, don't let the customer service person waste time, everyone knows that you will try to whiten yourself and act in your favor, but I have my answer for your answers, there are photos, there are proofs, nothing more to say. And your sales manager will think twice next time before he treats someone in advance, blonde, woman, Polish - you already know that you have nothing to play, treat more people like me seriously in the future.

Bought a Mercedes nearly new. Approved used. From entering the building to leaving was horrible. Hated every minute of it. They are rude on entering and just seat you down. Not a word of help and when you question it they simply say it won’t be long. Then when you egg to where your supposed to be the handover experience is just horrid. Salespeople that know nothing of the cat so can’t go through the car with you, then you get it home and find a list of problems! Then they try to defend what they have sold. Legal action!
