After traveling to sheffield to view and pick up my new car from Mercia Motors i was very impressed with the service and professionalism from these guys and would highly recommend. They have Fantastic reviews on Autotrader and google which in my opinion show the businesses high standards in customer service. I would definitely recommend buying a car from here.

Picked up a bmw 420d m sport from Mercia Motors, 3 weeks ago, small dents and seat sorted as promised by Olver and up to yet can't fault the car it looks and drives brilliant, only criticism is they dont explain the 3 month warranty in detail before you buy the car, 3 months up to £300 limit on a bmw is really worth nothing., so be as honest as I was when I paid ,and let people know exactly what they get.if they want the car they will still buy it

DO NOT TOUCH MERCIA MOTORS WITH A BARGEPOLE !!! Have started police/legal proceedings for prosecution for selling me an unroadworthy BMW 750i. Also started court case to reclaim over £6k of vehicle repairs to the vehicle after it failed after less than 4 months of use. SERIOUSLY CONSIDER BUYING YOUR VEHICLE ELSEWHERE !!!

Do not under any circumstances let Mercia Motors keep the yellow slip off your v5. Don't let them tell you a persuasive story you that its their job to send it off. Our old car traded in to mercia motors appeared locally as a private sale. The advert was written in the first person impersonating my wife. The car we purchased was reasonably priced & reasonably presented. I sincerely hope no serious problems occur as I have no faith and trust in this trader now.

AVOID MERCIA MOTORS!!! I purchased a Mazda, they told me i could go and collect it, after driving there which took me 2 hours, they then asvised me it couldnt be driven away as it needs an RAC Check and it also had a DPF light that had come on that they needed to turn off, they advised me it was due to a clogged filter they were changing and the light would go off. We then went to collect again, once we had driven for 1 hour, the light came back on, we called and advised them and they asked us to bring it back at a later date, which we did, annoyingly!! Another 2 hour drive with a toddler. When we went to collect there machanic advised us he had no idea why the light was back on and that he had a feeling they would need to ask Mazda to turn it off which would cost them alot of money but to take it away and they would collect the car and give us a courtesy car. Thats when my calls started to be avoided and not returned! When i finally got hold of Oliver he told me i would have to take it back there....i argued the fact he said he would collect and he said he had no one to collect it so i had to take it...AGAIN!! Here if where the fun began!! He called me to advise me the vehincle needed a new sensor, and that the car has 2 so he was going to guess which one it needed in the hope he got it correct, he calls me again to advise me he got it wrong so needed to order another one and another 2 day wait....he then calls again to tell me it actually isnt the sensor as the light is still on. He then did what he should of done in the first place and called Mazda to look at it. Mazda advised him it needed a new timing chain. He tells me he will get it sorted asap. The next day i receive a call....the most shocking one so far.....Oliver said that the timing chain alone was costing him £600 and the sensors had set him back £400 so he was spending £1000 on this car, he said..."can you put a few hundred quid towards as we are paying alot to fix it" i was in complete shock that he had actually asked me to help fix a car he had sold me with a fault....i told him i could not afford to pay as we are a 1 income family with a toddler. He went away displeased but said he would sort it. The next day....he calls AGAIN, "We really need a few hundred quid towards this car, you need to help pay, we have spent too much trying to correct it" heres where i got angry and threatened legal action....he went away again saying it was fine and he would fix it with no cost to me...yes...wow...really? Your going to fix the car you sold me with a fault? Well done you excellent dealership you!! My suspicion told me he was lieing about the cost of the parts....so i called Mazda in sheffield myself and got a quote....full timing chain he said....£116 and sensors £80....he had lied about the cost!!!! Funnily when i askee for a receipt i was told it wouldnt have the cost of parts on...when i asked why....they said that was only for there records....which is why i got suspicious and called mazda myself. SO......if you buy a car without a fault....your fine....but it seems if you purchase and there is one....there is trouble. WOULD NEVER USE AGAIN

Oh my life this brought back memories. My dpf light was on a week after I bought it. It spent more time back at the garage than with me. Audi diagnosed for me as I paid Audi to do so and Mercia still wouldn't sort it. After battling for 6 months they bought it back from me at what they thought was a fair price, £2000 less than I paid. I wouldn't wish that nightmare on anyone :-(

Went to view a car and was told it was out on loan to a customer and would be back after the weekend. The Tuesday after i received a call to say it was not back but they would contact me when it was. The advert then disappeared and there was no further contact. If that's their idea of customer service i'm glad i didn't buy anything off Mercia Motors.

Not an experience I want to repeat. From being sold a non-roadworthy vehicle by Mercia Motors to my PX still being retained in my name. Oliver was great to deal with but unfortunately it appears the organisation on the whole, is far from being customer focused. It actually cost me more to make the vehicle roadworthy. Considering it had just had an MOT a week or so earlier, two tyres had lumps in the sidewalls and the other two, just above the legal minimum of 1.6mm. Not described as seen - large dent in the rear. Credit to Oliver, this was sorted. Paperwork said it had just been serviced. In my professional opinion with knowledge about carbon build up in oil, I strongly believe the oil had not been changed.

Unfortunately, Mercia cannot be trusted to provide the advertised RAC approved inspection they claim to include on all their used cars. After purchasing, driving away and immediately identifying a number of problems on my BMW including the bonnet almost opening up whilst driving home they agreed to cover the cost of some minor issues back at my local garage (the car should never of left with these faults in the first place) and eventually compensated me £80 but I was left to cover cost of 2 tyres (not sealed at rims), replacement car battery (which I also reported flat to be told it was because car had been stood even though I had the battery tested and subsequently proved faulty with report) and air conditioning re-gas. I'd given them the opportunity to rectify or at least show some good will but have since been fobbed off. Quite frankly, the worst motor trader experience I've ever dealt with and I'd advise you think long and hard before choosing Mercia to buy a car from. There's much better and more professional dealers out there and as the name suggests - once you've driven away you're left at their Mercy!
