They are nothing but a crook stealing money from the hard earn society in the name of selling cars. They sell damaged car in pretence in cheap price to attract people and include a fake warranty that never existed, rude behaviour, customer service relation poor, quick to interject on return customer who complain about ineffective cars.
I had so many problems with the car I bought from them spent over 2k in repairs with the main dealership battery changed replaced some none genuine suspension parts and had problems with the adblue system as well called them to sorted out as the car was still under warranty with them the lad on the phone said we can replace the nox sensor at the cost price Travelled all the way form Newcastle just to be told they don’t replace nox sensor!!! Very disappointed with the after sale service once they take your money they not even interested taking to you just be careful their 6 months warranty not even worth the paper it was written on

Dear Sir, Thanks so much for taking the time to review us. We appreciate every review as feedback from our customers helps us to improve. We always strive for 5 stars every time as the whole team work extremely hard to ensure that we deliver the best possible cars with the highest standards of service and aftercare. Every car is fully inspected, prepared and tested prior to delivery. We do as much as practically possible to ensure a smooth ownership for our customers. That said, used modern motor vehicles, due to ever increasing complexities, can have the odd issue now and again at any time. In this case, any issues you faced during warranty period were addressed. You covered 24,000 miles in six months with only minor items of maintenance required. You are using the vehicle as a Taxi and therefore there are limitations as to how far we can reasonably expect to go as you are using the car for commercial use, covering around four times the average persons mileage. You have now had an issue with the Emissions system outside of warranty period. This is a well known and routine issue at the moment. At your last visit to us we referred you to a main dealer as unfoertinately, you were well out of any warranty with us and Nox sensors are the subject of a recall at the moment so there is a good chance a main dealer may replace free of charge. Also with Nox sensors, the warranty implications means that it is best to have them changed at the dealer as they have a strict policy on any claims on these items. If we had supplied you with the Nox sensor, your warranty with Mercedes may not have been valid. When there is a problem, we will solve it. We never ever shirk our responsibilities as a reputable Mercedes Specialist. As you are using the car as a Taxi, you will need to expect maintenance more often. I believe we have done everything one can expect of us as a car dealer in this case. Thanks The Mercland Team!
Returning customer and I'm sorry to be leaving this review, Faults from point of sale, fixed under warranty. 3 weeks after warranty expired, same fault, different part. Told common fault but obvioulsy not replaced during preperation ( would have saved a lot of fustration and travel time if replaced during prep). Checked with Mercedes and forums, very common fault with emissions. Spoke with front reception staff member, very abrupt, unhelpful and refused to repair after agreeing too and after travelling 100 miles. Sort legal advise, eventually agreed to original agreement, I pay for part, they provide free labour. Made second 100 mile journey again, car repaired. Sold vehicle same day, now driving a BMW but still miss the Mercedes. At least I know the car is good for the next owner. I would recommend some staff need customer service training and better communication between staff. Overall I was surprised with the poor service and the number of poor reviews. After I've had my fun with my new BMW I may return in a few years because they do sell decent cars at affordable prices but their customer service needs improving. Sorry to have to do this Jay but you need to sort this.

Dear Sir, Thanks for the time taken to review us. I'm glad that your car has served you well. Unfortunately modern cars are extremely complex due to various reasons, environmental at the top of the list. Sensors such as Nox sensors are a problem for all manufacturers at the moment, not just Mercedes-Benz. As a garage that takes its responsibilities and customers seriously, whenever a fault such as this arises, we take swift action to replace any necessary parts. We stock and use Genuine Mercedes Benz sensors and use only genuine licensed up to date Mercedes-Benz Software to code the sensors and update the software on the cars ECU. By doing this, we are keeping your car exactly as intended by the manufacturer and keeping Greta Thunberg happy too. I see that many car dealerships take shortcuts such as remapping these sensors out. We do not. We spend the money necessary to keep your car correct. I take an active role to try to discourage this when i see this mentioned online. We all need to protect the world we live in. In your case, the second sensor failure was out of your 6 month comprehensive and complimentary warranty and therefore we could not replace free of course. If you had taken an extended warranty, it would have been covered. Even when out of warranty, we would always look to minimise costs for our existing customers and at that visit, I am told you were offered a contribution to the repair which was declined. I apologise if there was some confusion here. I am glad that the issue was resolved in the end. I am very deeply sorry that you went to BMW (cough cough). That really is a choice i'm sure you will regret and I look forward to welcoming you back to the sunny side soon, after which I look forward to you changing this review to a 5 star, as you will be so delighted to be back behind the wheel of the best car manufacturer in the world and being looked after by the best Independent specialist in the land. Hi Jay. In response to your commenys about to my review. I feel I must clarify a comment you made about 'declining an offer' to resolve the fault. At no point did I decline the offer made to rectify the fault. It had been agreed by phone which is why I made a 200 mile round trip to have it fixed. It was your front of house receptionist who refused to fix my car at cost. I even offered to swop the car plus cash but this was also rejected. After seeking legal advise and speaking with Josh in your office was it all resolved. I will at some point this year probably purchase a Mercedes again because you do sell decent cars but the after sales service requires improving. Sorry to go about it but some things need clarifying. The car was sold to me in apparently good condition. But,that was not the case. I went to Mercedes-Benz in Cheshire Oaks. They have confirmed that there is an excessive oil leak on the back differential. They also said that both front castor bushes were slightly worn, the rear prop shaft rubber joint was slightly worn and 5 undertray bolts were missing. I went to another mechanic (Engine Clinic LTD) who noted the following issues: - Both front wheel bearings have some play. - Both rear brake pipes corroded. - Rear differential oil leak - which is the same issue that the Mercedes-Benz mechanic found. One thing to note is that the rear brake pipes being corroded issue was in the previous MOT, but somehow disappeared from the MOT provided by Mercland. When I mentioned that I want to return the car (reject the sale) and get a full refund as it is with my consumer rights, they told me to contact their lawyers. I did so and now we are over two weeks later and both Merlcand and their lawyers are ignoring my tries to communicate. Avoid at all costs!

Dear Sir, Thank you for time taken to review us. I apologise that you aren't totally happy with your car. Unfortunately, you took the car to a main dealer for a health check. It is common knowledge and logical that dealers do not do this out of the goodness of their hearts. They are designed to generate income. Your car was thoroughly inspected, checked, service and prepared. We do not spare any expense at all. Our MOT testers have decades of experience and take their work very seriously. Nothing is missed. If there were any excessive leaks for example, these would have been taken care of at preparation time. This is no issue for us. We certainly would not skimp on a corroded brake pipe that cost us pennies. We replace these items on a daily basis and is routine for us. If the car needed it, it would have been done without question. We pride ourselves on the best levels of vehicle preparation in the business. Of course, a 10 year old car will have some wear and tear, but there will be no mechanical issues over and above this. We have offered to inspect the car and rectify anything necessary, as of this date we have had no proof of these issues. I'm sorry we do not count a main dealer or any garage health check as "proof" for the reasons stated above. We would require at lease photos which we have not had. We would expect to see a video from a main dealer check, we have not had this. Every technician has differing opinions on what is, for example a corroded brake pipe vs normal surface corrosion that any car on the road will have. Same goes for leaks. 99% of differentials on older cars will have some oil sweat from the vent. Whether or not this is excessive is a matter of opinion. We are totally committed to providing the best used Mercedes in the business and when someone buys a car from us, they are rest assured they will have nothing to spend on the car until the next service. We spend by far, more time and money on the preparation of our cars that any other dealer. Nothing is overlooked. It always helps if customers can keep things amicable. Reading your emails, it does not come across as if you want to resolve anything amicably and instead are quite derogatory towards a genuine family run car dealer that always does everything possible to keep their customers happy. We are humans, we don't deserved to be talked to in this manner. Even if there are any genuine issues, they are certainly not intentional and we will always put them right. We have replied to your every email and our legal team has already drafted a response to you, which I hope will resolve the matter. I am sure this will be with you anytime now. I bought a car with these guys at first was nice and pleasant after the first month the rain set in and I noticed my seat was wet and the slk was leaking I returned the car for repairs many many times each time being told it was fixed after the car being with them for well over 5 weeks I called to check progress and was told that if they cant stop it leaking this time then ill need to take it elsewhere and was told that all convertibles leak I honestly couldn't stop laughing the ladie was extremely rude on the phone to me after I didn't accept her statement I was told the roof leaking was my fault and was because I was using a jetwash which wasn't true after the 6th or more times they had the car I was called up and told it was ready to go and fixed I collected car and tested to find it was leaking even worse and new leak created on passenger floor was soaking when I called up I was told I need to wait another 3 weeks before they can even look at it with extremely bad weather all they was trying to do was run the warranty out so it was my issue at this stage I've decided warranty was few weeks from ending and no Interest from the garage and honestly just rude with very little info leaving you with many questions, I decided to reject the car the female who answered was again extremely rude when I told her I was going to reject car and she hung up on me, so I've reject the car and told to return the car with keys and paper work this was done on the Friday, I checked there website on the Sunday and it was already back up for sale bearing in mind that after nearly 6 months they can't stop it leaking yet within a weekend it's back up for sale some poor person is about to have same issue, they made me wait almost 1 month for a refund making up excuses, best thing you can do is find a honest garage keep away from these cowboys

Any time your car was with us, you were left mobile with another car. Your car was repaired and tested. Leaks can be difficult to trace and even more tricky to test. We have years of experience with these models and we know all the usual issues and your car was rectified. Shame you got the jitters just because your warranty was nearing its end, we would have supported you going forward in any case. I do not often write reviews, but the guys at Mercland deserve a mention. They keep their word, and go out of their way to ensure the customer is happy. I would recommend
Put a deposit on a car all verified and was waiting on the delivery date and called me few hours before saying someone else had bought the car. Still waiting on my refund of over 19k and its been 2 weeks. In touch with mercerdes and also trading standards don't know how these guys are speclicsts. Very rude once they have your money. In the process of taking them to court all my calls are recorded and they still lying on the phone.

We have to operate this system for fairness to all of our customers. Your finance has been cancelled with your finance company and from our end we have closed everything off. I visited mercland on 06/02/2022 to have a look at an A35 which I had seen on the buyacar website. I test drove the car and really liked it. I highlighted some cosmetic issues which I would require sorting if I were to buy the car and this was all agreed. I placed a £500 holding deposit on the car and was told it would be ready in roughly a weeks time. I got in touch with buyacar to finalise my finance application. I was told that the finance company were now ready to pay out on the car, so at this point I assumed everything was going to plan. I then found out midweek that my finance company were not willing to pay out on the car as it had outstanding finance on it (merclands website states all cars are HPI clear) mercland were apparently selling the car on behalf of a family member and didn’t actually own the car, they were also not willing to buy the car outright to enable my finance to go through . None of these facts were mentioned when I test drove the car. I was then informed that a solution had been found and the deal could continue. At this point I was a bit unsure whether I wanted to actually own the car as it all seemed a bit odd. The day before I was meant to pick the car up buyacar contacted me to say they were still waiting for mercland to send an invoice through. I noticed that mercland had refunded my £500 holding deposit with no explanation why. Buyacar contacted me again to inform me that mercland had been in touch and said that they had now sold the car to someone else. Throughout this whole process I tried to contact Vish at mercland many times and he was always too busy to speak to me. When I rang for an explanation as to what had happened i finally got through to vish, he told me he was clearing the showroom and would ring back in 5 minutes, guess what….he didn’t. The service I received from this garage was nothing short of appalling, and to top it all off I have now seen the exact car I test drove advertised on the BCA website ready to go to auction. Please avoid this garage at all costs or be prepared to potentially end up with a dodgy car.

Dear Sir, Thanks for the feedback and apologies for the issue you faced. We do not normally sell cars on behalf of anyone and all cars are owned by us. On this occasion a family member asked us to sell their car. Not our usual stock profile at all. The sale was straight forward but your finance company would not pay for the car until existing finance belonging to the owner of the car was settled. Normally In this circumstance we simply sign a form to say finance will be settled in x days. This is the normal practice. Buyacar said that there was no possible way they could do this. Being something that we don’t normally stock and not our own car, we couldn’t clear finance before your finance company paid out, not least because these external finance companies often do not complete the deal at the last moment. I asked the owner of the car to clear finance but this was not possible of course without proceeds from the sale. The owner of the vehicle then decided it would be easiest all around for him to "webuyanycar" the vehicle. Buyacar we’re in contact throughout and instructed us to refund your deposit. Then Buyacar rang and said they had had a change of heart and would now payout. It was too late. This has not been the best experience for us either as we have lost the cost of four new tyres, new brakes, full service etc and we have been left holding the bill. I’m sorry that communication wasn’t the best but it was a strange situation for us and it’s always made more complicated when these third party finance companies get involved. The reason it’s at bca now is that webuyanycar and bca are the same company. Apologies again and I hope you can understand it was never our intention to cause you any issues. If Buyacar had funded the vehicle from the beginning, there would have been no problem at all. Thanks Jay
