Staff from Meridian Vehicle Sales Limited in response to My Ford transit infit for use
Hello Mr P, it's a shame you have had to come online to complain instead of calling us and alerting us of your issues. We're not mind readers, and without contact from you, we can't help you. We've known you many years and you've been very happy with your purchases in the past and with the service we have given you. When you first told us about the van problems, we got it straight into the garage to be looked at and fixed as you know. Any issues you have had since then, we are totally unaware of as you haven't contacted us, meaning we can't try and help you. We've never been unfair Mr P and we initially offered to take the vehicle back if you weren't happy with it as I'm sure you remember, as per our emails. I'm sorry to hear about the issues with your business.
Been dealing with Andy at Meridian Vehicle Sales for years. Top lads. Great service. Chuffed to bits.
Total liar......fed me a story for two weeks promising me great things .. I bought a Nissan navara 2007 , on the day I took it home the diesel tank FELL off . Andy Bowers promised me he's gona sort it. I'm £234 out of pocket and he does not care ........ please for your sake DO NOT DEAL WITH THIS MAN
Staff from Meridian Vehicle Sales Limited in response to Nissan navara
The vehicle was returned and money was payed back. The £234 was also repayed by way of cheque. You didn't end up out of pocket by not even a penny. We apologised no end for the issue that happened and you were more than happy with the way we handled things. It is a great shame you've had to resort to the internet to damn us when we did everything we could for you.
When I arrived to collect the vehicle from meridian they had MOT'd the wrong vehicle and I then had to go with Andy to the service station and on the way there as he changed into third gear he looked down at the gear stick and re selected the gear I nievely asked " if there was dash board shine silicone on the gear lever? Or something wrong " to which he replied " no I was just checking that it's not a 6 speed" in hindsight I realise that he had noticed a problem with the gearbox but didn't say anything, but assured me that was the correct mechanical noise of a 4x4 gearbox. Phone calls with meridian:- 10th July 16.16:- spoke to Tony and asked for user hand book for vehicle and service history. Still not received 30th August 17.35 spoke to Andy and said I had a oil leak from the gearbox and that it was clicky getting into gear, was told to contact the warranty company ( AA warranty ) and that every vehicle they sell comes with AA warranty, so I phoned car finance 24/7 assuming that you would have the warranty policy as I had not received anything, and spoke to Bradley who gave me the number for 24/7 car finace warranty but was told that they only had my gap insurance details. 31st August 13.28 spoke to Tony explained that car finance 24/7 only had the gap insurance details, he checked his records and that the AA warranty policy had not been taken out, he apologised and told me that they would start a new policy and assured me not to worry they would handle this matter and that any repairs would be carried out and instructed me to take it to a garage to be assessed. 5th September 10.02 spoke Tony explained the faults that the garage had found and that it was the syncromesh on 3rd gear and the oil leak was from the rear end barring seal on the engine and he asked me how much I'd been quoted for repair and I said about £1000 he said that he would contact his garage and see what their estimate for repair would be. 5th September 13.03 spoke to Andy and I said " that every garage I had spoken to said that they do not accept warranty I had to pay for the repairs and claim it back from the warranty company" he said " from speaking me when I purchased the vehicle Andy knew that I was mechanically minded and suggested that I do the repair myself " to which I replied " yes I am but I veiw this as a new vehicle and I'm not touching it and I don't have the skill facilities or tools to carry out such a job" to which he replied " have you got any mates that are mechanics and have got a garage and see if I can get it repaired cheaply" to which I replied no. He said " I had two options bring it to meridian who would take it to there garage but it would be awkward for me bringing it down and that I would be without my vehicle for a unknown time, or I could take it to a local garage and that they would contribute to the repairs". I said I would think about it and then contacted car finance 24/7. Once meridian had been informed by car finance 24/7 that it was there obligation to carry out the repairs I returned the vehicle, and later that week spoke to andy and asked how long it will be till i receive the vehicle back to which he replied " well you know that the gearbox will need to be dropped out and that's not a 2 minutejob so as soon as I know you'll know" nearly 2 weeks later I was called by Andy who said the vehicle was ready to be collected and I asked if all the repairs had been done which he replied " yes the gearbox is fine but the garage were driving it like a car and that when changing gear you need to let the revs die down before selecting the next gear" ( double clutching ) I asked about the oil leak he replied " I had them clean the engine and take it for a test drive and there was no oil leak and I wasn't going to pay £45 per hour to fix something that wasn't there" ( no warranty policy his fault) When driving home the gearbox was worse than before and when I got home looked underneath no bolts had been removed and the oil was all over the clean spot where it had been cleaned, the vehicle has now been rejected.

You wanted to return the vehicle, and we bought it back off the finance company. Their independent vehicle report sided with us, and said the vehicle was consummate with age and mileage, and there was in fact nothing wrong with the vehicle. However, we stuck to our word and bought the vehicle back off the finance company for you. We sincerely wish that we could write customer reviews. It would make our industry a whole lot fairer. No one ever sees the thousands of happy customers from over 30 years trading as a family business.
No mot on truck had to go with him to get mot, truck had sycromesh fault from beginning assured me that was how a 4x4 gear box operates, also had oil leak from head gasket was given 1 chance to repair all he did was change oil and filter and said there was no oil leak was leaking by the time I got it home and gearbox was still knotchy
