Shane the owner of MGP cars is a really nice person to do a deal with. When we first saw the car we were quite overwhelmed with just how nice it was. Shane himself was most helpful, understanding and not pushy in any way shape or form, he answered any/all our questions we had regarding the X5 we purchased from him. The car its self was in our eyes was better than described and he told us that anything it needed would be done before we picked it up and it was. The whole experience from start to finish was great, he made the deal as sweet as possible and we would definitely recommend him to others. He is the kinda guy you can just stop and have a coffee with. Nice one Shane my man, keep up the good work and service you provide.

Bought my BMW from Shane at MGP Cars Derby. passed mot the day before I collected. advert stated full service history. later found out there was none. also told has a small puff of blue smoke when start. turns out it fills the street in a morning. 2 days after buying the brake pad warning lights came on and found 2 out of 3 suspension strut bolts missing and hand brake not working. took back and was repaired. car went in to BMW and was told it had 4 buckled wheels suspension strut leaking tyre fitted wrong way round and hand brake not working again. firstly refused to do any repairs. took to another garage and found to have the DPF missing so was illegal to sell. finally agreed to repair some items. wouldn't replace wheels all though dangerous. went in for repair again and had the handbrake adjusted for the 3rd time and suspension strut replaced. now a week after repair the handbrake has failed again and refusing to repair. should never have been sold and should never have passed an mot. service history non existent. £5000 paid for a car that cant be driven. Thanks for that

I was searching for a 2nd hand Mondeo to fit my budget and had to be exactly as described. I looked at 3 other traders advertising similar cars as "immaculate" and "superb". All 3 of them appeared to have body damage akin to a war zone! I spoke on the phone to Martin (owner of MGP car sales) I asked him in detail about the bodywork of a 12yr old Mondeo he was advertising for sale. He assured me with further details and history about this vehicle that it was amazing for its age and very low mileage. I took a big chance after my past experiences, and took the train to buy the car. I was met at the train station by another colleague, Shane. He picked me up in the very car I wanted to buy. Straight away, I could see the car was superb. Shane then obliged and let me drive the car back to the garage. It drove beautiful. The low mileage reflecting that the car felt tight and silent to drive. It was like driving a brand new car. On arrival at the garage, Shane made me a welcome cup of coffee. I then met Martin who was very friendly and helpful....He even gave me £20 to put in petrol to get me home. I've never had such a great experience buying a second hand car.....until now! I drove home 85 miles in the car which never missed a beat or gave me anything to find fault with. I would definitely recommend MGP car sales of Derby to anyone, no matter what your budget is.
