I just bought a Saab Vector Sport Convertible TID from the Pontefract showroom, I must say the staff are brilliant, very friendly and nothing is too much trouble, because I made an enquiry about the car coming up for its timing belt and asked had it been done, they said as a matter of good business they would include this in the deal on the car. After the last escapade I had, this was a breath of fresh air, I love my Saab Convertible, I would defiantly buy another car from this outlet. My past experience of buying anything is based on owner reviews and this made me choose Mike Neals over many others, certainly had the best reviews and for a company just 20 miles away, it made complete sense to buy from a local reputable firm. In this day and age, reviews either make or break a car dealer, and I will never fall for a particular car again without checking the feedback of garages on line. Spot on service Mike Neal, keep it up.
Well, I certainly find the negative comments very strange most don't even resemble that company at all. My service was perfect, bought a fantastic condition mini cooper s convertible, they told me one week from the day I paid a deposit, 3 days later its ready to collect, couldn't be happier!! cleaned and shining when I collected it from the showroom in Pontefract. The salesman talked me through the buttons and dials, made sure I was happy after our test drive, not pushy in any way at all. Swift professional service. two months later, still happy, car runs great.
I bought an alfa 156 from mikes whitley bridge site the salesman was extremely friendly and helpful not your usual pushy kind. I left a deposit and collected the car a week later. 2 weeks in I noticed an oil leak I contacted their workshop manager and was asked to bring the car in the next day where he quickly found the problem was the sump plug he then arranged a courtesy car for me to use while they had my car. I collected the car 2 days later with the problem fixed since then I have had the car for 6 months with no further issues and absolutely love the car very happy highly recommend.
I didn't get as far as buying the car. I want along to view the mini as the additional pictures I requested where not sent. The mini looked great but I noticed an oil leak on the rocker cover gasket. And the car looked to have a a very slight bump to the off side bumper which was not described in the ad. Nothing major and not a deal breaker. Once the car was started it began to smoke as the oil was hitting the hot engine casing and exhaust. I loved the car and against my better judgement I paid a deposit with the agreement the things I pointed out would be addressed and the deposit would be returned if we where not satisfied. So far so good. We agreed that the car would be sorted ready for collection on agreed date and I would be contact if any problems arose. I contacted the owner 4 days before collection and was told that he didn't know the details of all the cars they sold and to assume it was going fine. Unhappy about this as we travel a distance to collect we contacted him 2 days before to be told the same thing. I then called just before we set off as once again it is a distance to go collect to be told none of the work was completed as we are waiting for parts. When asked why we where not contacted I was informed we had been on 2 separated numbers we supplied I was to we had been rang and texted twice on both numbers (complete lies) both numbers are on 3 and ALWAYS have reception. He then stated he thought the part was coming in on Tuesday but he would get the mechanic to contacted us in the "next 5 minutes" 3 days later I contact mike and to him I was not satisfied with the service as I am continually being fobbed off . I then asked for my deposit back when he told me they had tried contacting me and that I should speak to his member of staff who tried. The car had been taken off the Web site so I offered him £50 as compo and wanted the rest of the deposit returning. Mike informed me it was not up to me to decide what would happen to the deposit (my money) The end result is I'm am going to trading standards as I have lost all faith in Mike, the brand and most importantly the car which my children would have to ride in. He doesn't do what he's says he is going to do, when he says he is going to do it. He is extremely dimissive of me once he has my deposit and ultimately I have gone to a better dealer, with better service for a cheaper price. In my opinion due to my experience avoid avoid avoid. Do not hand any money including a deposit until you are ready to drive away. Mike has at least 5 Ltd companies which all run from his mobile number so when he is fobbing you off you cannot get hold of anyone else. I feel like I have been conned out of 200 when I should have known better but it could have been worse as the car cost thousands.
Bought a BMW 318ci Convertible from Mike Neal back in January 2015. when I came to view the first time around, I asked to take the car out on a test drive as would anybody who was considering to make a purchase in cash. Mike seemed somewhat apprehensive to let me take the car out as someone else was coming to look at it and didn't want to get it dirty, I said fair enough and left it at that. I drove past the garage the week after and saw that the car was still there so called in and asked again for a test drive, with much persuasion I managed to take the car out. I decided to buy the car on the proviso that a few small jobs were to be completed upon purchase. When I received the car a few days later is had been serviced and fully valeted and the small issues had seemed to be resolved. after owning for a week I noticed a knocking noise from the front wheels, I called Mike who said to bring it to his garage in Goole only to arrive and find that the mechanic had no idea I was coming, anyhow the problem was resolved that day after waiting the majority of the day for it to be fixed. around a month after that I got a burning smell in the cab upon start up, this time I rang the mechanic directly to arrange a day to bring the car in, while the mechanic was working on my car he broke a breather pipe, so this meant I would have to yet again bring the car back another day to fix the part he had just broke. As you can imagine this became slightly annoying driving all the way from Derby. I've owned the car now for 8 months and since it's last visit to the garage its been absolutely fine. Overall I feel that Mike could have been a bit of a better salesman and communicated with me and his mechanic, and also had a bit of knowledge about the car I was buying from him. At times (e.g Test drive issue) it did feel like all he was bothered about was trying to sell the car, not making the customer happy. On a positive note he never grumbled when I brought the car back with on the 3 occasions with a few small issues, and seemed happy to rectify them for me. I would happily buy again from Mike Neal, I would just be extra cautions when checking over the car.
Bought many many cars from this dealer over the years from various branches. My family and friends also buy their cars from here now too! Always been a pleasure, all issues resolved quickly and hassle free and always ensured a courtesy car was available whilst repairs were carried out. Wouldn't buy from anywhere else! Highly recommended!!

I recently purchased a Mondeo ST220 from Mike Neal in Pontefract. The car was in fabulous condition inside and out. Mike was very helpful and friendly, and a very genuine guy. The car was everything I expected and much more from what was advertised. Will definitely get my next car from Mike.
SHOCKING!!!!! AVOID AVOID AVOID!!!!!! So many problems with my car, not answering any of my phone calls on purpose I think. My gear box went after a month and I had to get it fixed their and then from my nearest garage as I live 100 hundred miles away from Mike Neals garage. I was aware I had to ring Mike before getting the work done otherwise they wouldn't pay for it, tried to ring them 9 times and no answer. I had the work done and now they refuse to pay for what's been done. No communication at all, so I drove down to the Pontefract garage. MASSIVE argument, Mike 'the owner' was swearing, pushing me around being rude horrible nasty and UNPROFESSIONAL. Basically refusing to pay. Will be reporting for Trading Standards. SHOCKING.
Avoid Mike Neal Trade Outlet at all costs. Poor communication, when you call them up they don't ring back when he says he will and they also ignore calls. In my personal opinion they are rude and arrogant. AVOID AVOID AVOID.
I drove down from Scotland to purchase a car. I like the car and decided to buy it. I had the car for a day and the check engine light came on. I phone Mike Neal car specialist and explained the problem we then made an agreement that I would get the car fixed and they would send me a cheque for the bill. Phoned numerous times still no cheque. Would not buy from them again! They did not keep there promise I have given up trying.
