Hi, I wouldn't get anything off mmc Nottingham I got a corsa from them didn't even have the car a day and it broke down and guess what they did about it.. Nothing at all.. If you want to get a good second hand car with nice people then mmc of Nottingham is not the place if you want to lose money like I did then go a head.. One more thing because you go in to there shop you will see a 'under new management' sign that has been there for a year now. I told them I was going to see soon body higher and they said its under new management and that was the day after getting the car..

Andy Train in response to Sam

My wife & I bought an old Renault Clio from this outfit as we were looking for a car quickly only paid 750 pounds for it but it was just to tide us over the car numerous problems including a bad oil leak and noisy rear wheel bearing and loads of confusion with the log book took it back and they just basically told us to do one very aggressive and threatening avoid at all costs they need to be selling horses and Stetsons to fit the cowboys they are !!!!!!

Lee Smith in response to Sam

Hello, i also bought a Vauxhall corsa from these cowboys too, having passed my test and knowing very little and having very little money as a student we took it for a test drive and it was all fine, 30 mins after paying and driving it away, had oil light flicker on and off due to what i now know as low oil pressure. Also went to them to "repair it" in which they took it from me for 2 days and did nothing at all. When i drove it home the engine had bad damage from this. I filed a civil dispute over it and they sent the papers back saying it wasn't them as they changed names! apparently there was two dealers using 1 building and having no separate signage altogether which surely must be illegal too! Now i just have a rusted corsa sitting in my front garden as i dont want to scrap it and loose alot of money from scrapping it. Definitely avoid at all costs!

I bought a BMW from these guys and to be honest I was very sceptical of used car dealers . After dealing with them I would definitely go back and buy from them again . There was no pressure to buy which really surprised me . They were really up front about everything and made me feel very at ease and confident in buying the car . After the warranty expired I had a problem with the car and to my genuine surprise these guys actually put the issue right for me ! I will certainly recommend them and found my experience very different from the other reviews I have seen .

Do not buy from these people. We were shown what looked to be a reasonable warranty when deciding to buy a Golf, when we collected the car we were handed a warranty that was so basic it wasn’t worth the paper it was written on. On driving the car home the Exhaust Emissions warning light came on. Over the next couple days other warning lights came on intermittently but the emissions light was constant. Then it refused to start, completely dead, then it started fine later that day. We took the car back and were assured they would fix it and were told that they would contact us when it was ready. When they went to move the car it needed jump starting. Several days later I had to phone to find out what was happening, to be told they could not find a fault with it. We arrived to collect the car and it would not start again. Incredibly they suggested jump leads to get it going so we could drive it away. We left it with them to repair. A few days later I phoned to check on progress. The reply I got was ‘if you want your car fixing, stop bothering me and let me get on and fix it, I will let you know when it’s ready’ and he then put the phone down on me. A few days later I phoned again, spoke to someone different who said the car had been sat outside and no one had looked at it. We eventually got the car back with a new battery and were assured it was fine. A few days later the emissions light returned and also every few days we would get an Engine Management light with complete loss of power. We took the car to a VW specialist for diagnostics who said the emissions light was because the Catalytic Converter had a hole in but had been taped up and tie wrapped to conceal the problem. It would be £600 if we wanted it fixing but they advised against it as there was also a probable Engine Control Unit fault at £1000, a Coolant Fan fault, a Camshaft Position Sensor fault and an issue with the Timing Chain. We wrote several times to MMC to ask for a refund after speaking to Citizens Advice. They did not reply. We then contacted Santander as we had paid by Debit card. Once the bank had the information from us they refunded us within 2 days. However, while the car was parked on our drive awaiting instructions from the bank for disposal, it suddenly exploded into flames, setting fire to our Garage, next doors Garage and melting our other car parked behind it. The Fire Brigade arrived within 10 minutes but the car was now a charred shell and both Garages need a complete new roof and the contents are destroyed. I am afraid this a brief overview of our experience of buying from MMC as to list all the issues we had would take too long. Whenever you phone you seem to speak to someone different who claims not to know about what has been discussed previously. Do not believe anything they say they have done to the car, or are going to do to repair the car. Above all, avoid completely.

Do not use MMC. Was given a service book with an entry to say a service and further work was carried out at a dealer/garage a few months earlier.....which having checked up on and researched did not exist! I had specifically asked about this prior to the sale and I believe this was the reason for the 'false' entry. Had to pay £800 to have the work done myself which was supposed to have been done 'when last serviced' One of the alloy wheels had a crack which caused a slow puncture - this had to be welded for a quick repair.....engine lights came on within days of owning the car..... Also received a letter from the local police department saying this car had been driven without tax/insurance etc a few weeks before purchase, and asking if I could provide details of the previous owner/dealer. The car itself did have a great service history with lots of receipts etc prior to everything.....its just a shame it came into the hands of this dealer. Overall a terrible experience.

Mr newcombe from MMC in response to Annie

Have you ever considered that we owned the car for around 2 weeks on average and perhaps the previous owner was responsible for the service history. I have to wonder if you just assume a second hand dealership are to blame. You also say EML light obviosly we must be responsible for building the vehicle aswell, i'm assuming it was nothing serious otherwise it would be brought back for warranty work. To sum up the car had great history but we have been blamed for a false entry and an eml light that we would of sorted under warranty.

I wrote out a review for this unbelievably poorly managed place but after reading back all the problems I had included in the review I decided it was simply too long so I deleted it and am now going to attempt to sum up the issues but one thing to take away from this review is DO NOT BUY A CAR FROM MMC NOTTINGHAM.....I wish I hadnt! 1.No service booklet - was told this had been ordered from Audi Nottingham, 5 weeks later still no service booklet so I rang Audi myself only to be told no booklet had ever been ordered so I have had to order one myself at £20. 2.The car I part exchanged had my private plate on which I was told when they get the logbook back through showing the old plate assigned to the car they will post my personalised plates out to me, when I recieved the logbook through the post for my new car showing my personalised plate was now assigned to it I rang them to see where my plates were and they told me they had sold the car with the plates still on WHICH IS ILLEGAL so some poor person was driving around in a car that had plates on that were not assigned to that vehicle, I reported this immediately to the DVLA so that there would be no come back on myself if this car were to be caught speeding etc. I then had to get some number plates made at £30 3. Durng the service before I purchased the car they fitted a sidelight bulb, which turned out to be the incorrect bulb which resulted in all the inside of the headlight melting. I tried numerous times to get hold of Dom who just so happened to always be with a customer or away from the office, then eventually after 2 weeks I was told he was out but after hearing him talking in the background and me telling the person who I was talking to that I had just heard him they laughed and put the phone down, I then got a call from him basically telling me I shouldnt be ringing them because I am causing the phoneline to be busy so potential customers wont be able to get through. 4. I paid an additional £150 to get 12 months warranty on the car, then a few days later I got a call from the warranty company asking me if I wanted to upgrade to 12 months warranty, I explained to them that I had already purchased this when I bought the car, however there records didnt show this so again back on the phone to them to try and get them to update the warranty company. I can honestly say that I have made roughly over 100 phone calls since buying this car trying to sort out issues not neccessarily with the car itself but chasing paperwork what I was promised and number plate issues, Today I now have the service booklet from Audi after chasing this myself and I am hoping to resolve the head light issue thanks only to me tracking down who serviced the car and then tracking down the bulb supplier who provided the service garage with the bulb. All of this has caused me a great deal of stress and used alot of my time. so again if anyone can take one bit of advice from this review. Please do not buy a car from this place if you want a stress free transaction.

Where do I start! Firstly do not buy from these del boys. Quite clearly have no idea what they are doing. I brought a car from them back in April. Told me it would be serviced and cleaned etc, it wasn't. I had to take the vehicle in as the engine management light had come on a few days later. It wasn't fixed and still isn't. But I did get a lovely parking ticket because of them. They parked it for 4 days in the car park behind them, instead of fixing the fault. After ringing and ringing speaking to useless member of staff. Never called me back. So I now how a £50 bill and still a car that has the engine management light on. Oh and that service stamp book they promised me 5 months ago.. I've given up on that also. DO NOT BUY FROM MMC.

MMC are an absolute waste of time. Spoke to some guy called Dom in regards to a BMW. I was misled from start to finish. told me my car would be ready by friday at 1pm and to come and collect it. I sent a driver down to collect my car at 3pm to make sure it was ready. Had spoke to some one from the dealership multiple times who told me car would be ready and it was just having a service done. When my driver got there they were instructed it wasnt on site and gave him another address. he then drove there to find the car up the ramp missing a turbo. After that MMC didnt have the bottle to take my call to explain why i had been lied/ misled for a week. DONT BUY A CAR FROM THIS DEALERSHIP. They have no idea what they are doing.

If you want to lose money on your car then this is the place to go. I traded in my car and got a lower value vehicle, I just needed something with some space for a dog and storage etc so nothing fancy I was owed a sum of money. If offered a cheque from this company don't even bother wasting your time, its worthless. My cheque bounced so you can imagine how worrying this would be. This was after a week. It then took 9 days for them to give me my money, I was constantly calling after not being updated when I was told I would be. Always being reassured but hearing nothing. Due to the sum of money I was so stressed I had to leave work early and was nearly signed off work as with the lack of updates, no call backs, stuff not sorted when I was told it would be, I thought I had just lost a significant amount of money. I then finally got the funds after 9 days. However it wasn't the full amount. I have wrote this out after it now being 16 DAYS and I've basically just given up on this money. They have transferred me most of the money already so it would take them less then 5 minutes to carry this out, but I was told when calling for my last update that 'I don't know how busy they are' when they owe me £500. I had to get this by calling off my office phone as it seemed to be too much of a coincidence that all day I kept missing them at the dealership and getting no answer on the mobile, but I called on a different number and got straight through. The defence there from them was, 'you keep calling all the time'. We'll I'm sure they would do if it was over two weeks, they was owed money, and they had been told for the last week 'you will 100% get it tonight'. Now the car I bought from them to be honest was a terrible, but knowing the car and the type of vehicle I wanted then I was prepared for this. Even though I was prepared for some work on it and had budgeted for this, I was assured it was in good condition. As said I was prepared, but I was told it was nearly mint, when I have had to spend the money on it, so I guess overall you can say the credibility of this company is zero. I'm now cycling to work to save on parking, petrol etc to make back the money that they owe me. If you think this is a great experience then go ahead but I wouldn't go near MMC and urge you not to either.

I would like this share my review of MMC Nottingham and say that from my encounters here the old owner of this dealership was awful, he didn't warranty the car and was very rude and aggressive. That being said I would like to say the new owner has been very apologetic despite none of this being his fault, he has helped me and provided advice in any way he can. I purchased my car in March this year. I would recommend this dealership under the ownership.

Bought a car from this MMC car dealership in Notts recently that on the surface appeared to be ok. Upon checking it out out I found numerous faults. Rang the dealer who didn't want to know. Also turns out the warranty they give you basically doesn't exist and so will not repair the car. My advice is do not buy from this car dealer.
