FIRST OF ALL DONT TRUST MR DARWESH and second of all MMD MOTORS is dissolved so he shouldn't even be working on cars let alone selling them. I bought what looked like and seemed a great car. Took my Vauxhall astra for a test drive and all seemed fine. I made the mistake I will admit of rushing into the purchase. Heinsight is a wonderful thing. Three witnesses that were with me witnessed me pay £4200 in CASH for the car and 2 years warranty. I did my own hpi check and all came back fine. I wish I had read reviews regarding his company first. Sooo into the story!! I had problems with the car within the first 24 hours with idle revs when I started it up. Got a diagnostic done on the car with it saying EGR VALVE insufficient air flow and MAF SENSOR insufficient air flow. Mr darwesh had the car back and cleaned the egr out first and it seemed to rectify it for a couple of days.. this issue came up again several times and he switched 3 engine management lights out over the next 2 weeks. Here's where it gets INTERESTING... I took the car to kwikfit road get the aircon regassed and they told me there the car had an illegal tyre on the front!!! More problems.. so I rang darwesh straight the way to him apologising and saying he will replace the tyre for free and that he didnt do the mot so he doesnt know why it didnt flag up as a failure or advisory on the clean mot certificate. I rang the mot company and they said under no circumstance would that car of left there premises without a failure/advisory if that tyre was on the car at the time. In there opinion the wheel must have been changed. I waited nearly a week and started to become impatient with darwesh as he still hadn't contacted me to let me know the promised new EGR valve had arrived. I messaged him to find out and then recieved another phone call this time him stating he never said he would pay for a new tyre.. lies again. I drove over there explaining I was driving on holiday the next week and it needed to be done. Face to face mr darwesh changed his tune and I picked a tyre from his tyre wall to out on the car. I left the car with him to fit the EGR valve that was meant to be coming... 2 days later I picked the car up and he said it was in working order and that he had test driven it over 80 miles... using my diesel... to nottingham where he has other business... joke. Using my car as a taxi. I asked about the new EGR valve and he gave me some crap about it not arriving and that he had a friend with the same car so he took a working one from his... I was leaving for holiday the next day and as he reassured me the car was fine now I took the car. (This at this point was a situation that he was sorting off his own back and he never asked for money/I was not going to pay any money as I have a warranty!!) I drove the car the next day to great yarmouth... a 3 1/2 hour drive, the car seemed back to normal finally. We pulled into the haven site and I turned the car off the get the caravan key. I started the ignition and guess what... the idle revs bad started again and I was embarrassingly kangerooing to the caravan!!! I messaged mr darwesh straight the way to which he rang me and stated off the bat that he knew what the problem was and that he would buy the new MAF sensor and if I go to his garage on the way back he would fit it as it would be a 10 min job. I managed to get to his garage and as I expected his word meant nothing. I had my partner and child in the car aswell as suitcases and he stated he needed the car for a day. Great what am I suppose to do about work!! I managed to book the next day off work to help him again as I had already used 2 half days to take the car over to him previously. The next dayi was waiting for a phone call and nothing. I rang him at 6pm and he said I need the car for another 2-3 days as his electrician couldn't die anything wrong with the car. At this point I had had enough and told him NO. I SAID I WAS COMING TO PICK UP THE CAR IF YOUR DIAGNOSTIC HAS COME CLEAN!! (Basically I just wanted it back so I could take it through the warranty company as I had had enough of him and his lies and excuses. He refused to give me the car back unless I signed a waiver stating once it had left his garage he takes no responsibility for the car. Obviously I said no way a said I was getting the police involved and put the phone down. He rang me several times and I finally picked up and he tried to come to a compromise. He wanted to get a second opinion and to take it to vauxhall. He said if it passes I can pay for the diagnostic and if it fails he will sort the car and pay... I refused and said I'm not paying a penny and put the phone down!!! He rang again more times and then said ok ok. I will sort it dont worry. I accepted this and told him to ring me the next morning when it was booked in... AGAIN no phone call so I rang him at 5pmish and he said the car was booked in the following Tuesday (another week without the car). I left it with him. I KNOW THIS IS LONG WINDED BUT THIS IS WHERE THE STORY CHANGES ALTOGETHER SO BUCKLE IN.. So it gets to the Tuesday and I ring vauxhall to make sure he has actually booked my car in... yes he had (first time hes told the truth) I asked if my details were on the car and they said it was booked in under mmd motors. So I got them to change to my details as it's my car. I rang darwesh that night and asked how my car had got on and he said they still have it as they didnt get to it till late in the day but it had passed the diagnostic. I said great so can I pick it up tomorrow then yes. And he said yes after I pay for the diagnostic all his time on the car as there has clearly been nothing wrong with it.. the egr valve etc etc. He was using the vauxhall diagnostic as ammunition. I said not a chance am I paying anything to which he replied well your not having your car then. I lost it and put the phone down!!. Sooooo. I knew the car was still at vauxhall so I left them a message that night stating do not give my car to me darwesh as it's my car and he is trying to hold me ransom to money I never agreed to pay!! The next morning dead on 8am I rang the garage and spoke to the lady in the service section. Explained the whole situation and she put me through to STEVE the manager. What a guy!!!! At first he did explain that if he comes down he will have to release the car to him as its signed in under his company name MMD MOTORS,I said is there anything I can do??? He said if I can prove the cars mine I can have it obviously. ( my second mistake.). the receipt stapled with the mot certificates etc were still in the folder with the Manuel's in the glove box... I said can you go grab them for me. They checked and double checked the car and guess what!!! Mr darwesh has took them. I know this as I knew they were there on holiday and he was the only person to have access to the car between then and vauxhall looking for them for me. So I said to Steve what should i do now?? He then said oh that's weird mmd motors is a dissolved company... he said I should go and speak to trading standards/citizens advice asap. Luckily darwesh still hadn't attempted to pick the car up yet!!. I was on the phone for nearly half the day to didnt people including the police, dvla, solicitors but first citizens advice. They stated that if his company is dissolved then I have no rights under the consumer rights act and cant get my money back. I said I dont want the money.. I know the cars working fine now as vauxhall had said (mr darwesh had the car for over a week before it went to vauxhall so clearly he had sorted the car for it to fly through the diagnostic. Hence his plan to demand money from me and use vauxhall as proof) so I just wanted the car back. I asked if his company is dissolved then surely he has no rights to take my car from Vauxhall to which the checked and replied with yes HE HAS NO RIGHTS TO TAKE MY CAR!!. I told Steve at Vauxhall and he said great that's all I needed to hear dknt worry your car Is safe come pick it up tonight. YESSSS GOT YOU MR DARWESH!! well so I thought... I recieved a phone call from Steve an hour later and he said dknt worry your cars safe but mr Darwesh has come down and kicked off that we wont release the car to him and is now saying HE IS DENY EVER SELLING ME A CAR AND THAT HE HAS NO IDEA WHO I AM!!! I was flabbergasted!!! This just secures even more that he has my receipt as he knows that is all I need to produce to them. Well mr darwesh underestimated me.l, vauxhall solicitors had now said as there is a dispute the couldn't release the car to either of us until they were sure of the owner. Mr darwesh had no idea what was going on in the background and still doesnt to this day.. oh hes going to have a shock. I played dumb and got steve on another line listening to me ring darwesh. He stated we need to come to a mutual agreement to get the car so if I release it to him I can come down to his garage and we can can sort it out. I said well then can i have my car?? He said yes then you can have your car. We thought would be enough but we weren't quite there yet. At this point mr darwesh thought I was releasing it to him he rang me hour after hour asking if I had spike to them yet. Getting more and more agitated. Steve was in a meeting.. on the final phone call of the day I got him on recording saying the car is mine again and I also asked what will it take for him to release the car?? He said it's not about money and he wants the car!!! Angrily. I said to him if vauxhall said it's fine why cant I pay the diagnostic and pick the car up?? He shouted no no no.. I need that car your not picking it up. Our theory is that he had either another buyer lined up (then I would have been screwed) or that he wants to take parts off the car before I get it back( ones that he put on the get it through the vauxhall diagnostic)??? Everybody involved said it was so suspicious!! Steve rang me back and I told him again hes admitted it's my car... vauxhall solicitors have now said me and mr darwesh need to meet at the garage to settle it there. The next morning I Rang steve back and asked what mr darwesh had said regarding this and mr darwesh said he will not meet me at the garage (more suspicious) that morning I had spoken to the police and have an appointment with them next week to progress everything. On every bodies advice I needed to tell darwesh the situation and Express all the evidence I have and we were going to court. Before I got chance.... mr darwesh had changed his tune completely and was now just wanting reimberssing for what he thinks he deserves.. rediculous... I let him go away to mull over what he thinks he wants.. again going back to vauxhall explaining he has changed his tune and this is what he is trying to do. Still not enough lol. He rang me later that day which a made up calculation of £185 plus me to pay the diagnostic... lol. I told him to stop talking and put he listening ears on. I began to explain that he knew nothing of what was going on in the background and still doesnt, he still tried to argue his point and lie until being blue in the face. I told him to stop talking. I told him then that I was never and am not going to pay him a penny and that it will cost him alot more than 185 quid when I take him to court so have a serious think about what you want to do and come back to me, phone down... he rings back 20 mins later and asks if the police are actually involved.? I told him I'm not answering any more questions and I'm not paying him a penny. He puts the phone down. 10 MINS LATER I GET A PHONECALL FROM VAUXHALL... JAMIE ITS STEVE, MY DARWESH HAS RANG US AND ADMITTED FINALLY ITS YOUR CAR AND YOU ARE WELCOME TO COME AND COLLECT IT. the feeling was amazing. I was willing to take him all the way.the fact that he gave in like that shows there is something underlying that he doesnt want trading standards/ police to find. I am over the moon to have MY car back in working order. And so thankful to everyone involved including Steve and the other involved at Vauxhall, the advice from police, citizens advice and dvla. The story isn't over as mr darwesh is now trying to cancel my warranty, thinks he has rights since he thinks I cant prove I gave him the cash towards it as he has my documents. Silly man. I have given him chance to give my documents back and he still denying it so let the battle begin. He thought I was young, niece and stupid ( to a degree I was by paying cash) but hes the stupid one by telling me my car was still at vauxhall, god knows what would have happened if he got his hands on the car!! And by telling me about the warranty situation which I am currently rectifying. THE MOST UNTRUSTWORTHY, DECEITFUL, LYING, PERSON I HAVE COME ACROSS ON THE 33 YEARS I HAVE BEEN ON THIS PLANET. Do not buy a car from him personally or his dissolved company. I dont want anyone else to go through what I've been through.

I bought a car from MMD Motors in May 2018. I wish I had checked the reviews now! The car was sold with a questionable service history. I think the mileage had been reversed. The car had major engine faults resulting in costing me £2300 to replace engine.

BUYERS BE AWARE!!! I brought a car from this man, my car was sold with an MOT, after I got the car home the problems started, when I went to go round a corner the car kept going straight, i rang to get an engineers report from a mechanic, I went to a garage to get the car checked out as I had a feeling something was wrong with the car, when I spoke to the guy after he checked the car over, the MOT was false, it had illegal tyres, a problem with the power steering, split hoses also the interior of the car was disgusting, CD player didn’t work, and so much more, I got the car fixed, when I spoke to mani about him paying for the car, he got very abusive and aggressive towards me and my wife, then he kept ringing me and my wife making threats. I brought this car as a family car and when I was told by the mechanic that it shouldn’t be on the road and it was a death trap, I was disgusted as this was going to be a family car, BUYERS BE AWARE!!!!!
Where to start, bought a car from this man to ferry my children to and from school. From day one I have had nothing but problems with it and a year on it’s going to be sold as scrap leaving me totally out of pocket with no car. Absolutely dishonesty, one garage told me not long after I bought it that this car was absolutely sold to me with known issues by then it was too late to send back......would not buy from this seller.
I think the previous reviewer and I were looking at the same car! Found a car on Autotrader; Hyundai I40 (KR62 CDY) and stupidly paid a deposit. Then found out it had been CLOCKED. "Manni" (07863 335 832) first claimed he'd not "accepted" the money transfer, then that there was not record of it?! My bank can clearly see the money leave my account!!! £300. Still waiting. Now written to his Bank Santander : 77-15-11 #30835760

Search MMD Motors ltd reviews before you decide to buy, there are many stories identical to mine! The seller Mr Muhammed Darwesh assured me that the Hyundai I40 2012 was in perfect condition only having 48k Miles. I arranged a viewing. I quickly did research and found customers complaining that after mile checks the figures showing on car were different to figures at the last genuine MOT (by 100K). I decided to check the Vehicle MOD History Database (Government) and found in 2015 the car had registered over 142k on the clock 94k more than he was advising and assured me on a number of occasions. The most interesting was that the most recent MOT did not declare any miles which would imply that this was due to inconsistent data being read from 2015 - 2017. I informed Muhammed of my findings - The advert was removed immediately. If you check his other adds, he advertises some adds as genuine miles - Surly legally he should only be displaying genuine miles!!!
I was in touch by phone 4 or 5 times with MMS Motors and asked them at each call if the car was really 33,000 miles as I leave 100 miles away and didn't want to come all the way for nothing. The guy confirmed with assurance it is 33,000 miles at least 4 timrd. I booked and arranged a pre purchase mechanist to attend to the garage and was going to collect the car the following day if I was happy with mechanist report. MMD said no need to run an HPI check as he would give it to me. I ran it anyway a find out it was over 132,000miles. It was all done on purpose as I really triple check with them the mileage. Just a crook. I don't know if it was changed on the car clock or just a lie on the advert as I didn't go...
Don't trust what it saying in ad before you sign paper work check small print.Don't buy 990.00 car then get told on paper work or any car purchased spares or repair. When sold me as a good road worthy car.Lots of problems on car .MMD motors don't want to know .Without you pay for parts next day after purchases .My wife is disable and don't think the car is worthy.Go and buy elsewhere. Avoid at all cost,if not just put your mony in the nearest rubbish bin for the dustman. Now need to get legal advice.

hi Colin, i have just had the exact same problem with this trader and im currently going down the legal route to try and get my money back . Did you manage to get your situation resolved ?
MANI from MMD Motors Limited in response to Colin
This car was advertised for £1980 then reduced down as car was smoking and engine management light was on and then I reduced to 990 and advertised as spare or repair. When the customer came to see the car he was advised of the faults and checked the car then customer made an offer of £850 and said that they uncle who is a mechanic and would repair it for cheap. So they took the car for £850 as spear or repair. Then couple of weeks later after keeping the car the customer tried to make a chargeback from the credit card company and they did not even have return the car back.
