Tried to book car in at Capitol Motors Volkwagen. Not possible and promised to call me back. Failed to do this. Rang again and offered the same, we will call you back, but they didnt. Tried one more time with the same offer to call me back. Told them to stick it.

As a VW purchaser of many vehicles, I was surprised at the amateur sales skills of the staff at Mon Motors Capitol VW. There is a serious training issue here. Having agreed to view the vehicle, I was later told that it was on a 'management weekend' and asked to re-book. Despite an advertised £250 payment to secure vehicle, was asked for £500. Agreed £250 by credit card. Only later to be told that I must secure the purchase at the advertised price without seeing the car or negotiating the price. This is Merthyr Tydfil, so probably should not have expected a higher level of customer care. I will buy a similar vehicle from a more mature VW dealership.
