Monkswood Garage are not interested once you've driven the car away. Never call you back. Don't keep their word. Awful attitude. Would NEVER recommend. Its not all about the sale its the aftersales tahts as important

Bought a lovely car, excellent condition with low mileage and FSH. (1)It was not fully serviced as promised, (2) had a water leak on the water pump, (3). This was sorted under warranty but then an issue (3) came to light that took nearly 3 months to address and the support from the garage was truly appalling. I had to do all of the running around arranging for the garage to try and remedy the issue and the owner would just not answer my messages or phone me despite my being extremely polite throughout the whole fiasco. The only phone call I had was after I mentioned Trading Standards. They sell lovely cars at very good prices but I was so disappointed at the total lack of customer care this being contrary to all of the wonderful words on their website. I would not go there again under any circumstances and if you are looking for good customer care then I would not recommend Monkswood Garage.

I found a listing on Auto Trader by Monkswood Garage for a Volkswagen Passat claiming the vehicle had a new MOT and when I called to inquire about the car, I was entirely led to believe it was ready to be driven away so I made an appointment for four days later, stating that I would be traveling from a foreign country for the vehicle. Upon arriving at the arranged time for the viewing, there was only one man present to talk to who claimed to have no knowledge of the appointment as well as the fact that the car neither had a new MOT, MOT at all or was even road legal due to bald tyres, and severely clouded headlights as well as whatever other problems that a unprofessional look-over wouldn't be able to find. The vehicle also had multiple cosmetic issues such as scratches, scrapes, dents and rust patches that were not at all evident on the photos in the listing not to mention a patch on the driver's rear quarter where body filler had been used and painted over without being sanded properly which was also not at all visible on the pictures. After aproaching the subject of the state of the vehicle and the MOT, it was only then that it was revealed that the MOT would be placed on the vehicle once a buyer was confirmed and said he would try schedule it in for that morning. After being informed by myself and a retired professional of the automotive trade that the car wouldn't pass an MOT due to the aforementioned issues, the man said " Well don't have it then" before storming off leaving me and my associate standing, dumbfounded next to the car before we ultimately had to leave. Due to the intended nature of the visit and abhorrent misinformation, I didn't have the necessary time to find an equivalent for similar cost and so ended up leaving the country empty-handed and having lost 500€ (~£450) in travel expenses. These are clearly the tactics of a company that deserves to fold.

Really nice cars and good prices and I had a 15mths warranty free in the deal ,can't fault monkswood garage really and I love my new golf!!
