I came to Monument Garage to find my new car as they had been recommended by friends & family who all gave rave reviews and Monument didn't disappoint. Having just missed out on the Mercedes A-Class I was after to another buyer, Martin went the extra mile and managed to source a near-identical model for me. I was worried I'd feel obligated to buy but the whole team were very reassuring and I knew that I was under zero pressure (it's a family run business so the sales team don't have impossible quotas to meet). When I came to pick the car up it was immaculately presented, serviced, MOT'd and with a full tank of fuel. Proud to support a local business and would recommend them to anyone. See you in a year for my next car guys!

I’ve just collected my new car from Martin and his team, and couldn’t be happier. The process was smooth and very efficient and nothing was too much trouble. They are a friendly and trustworthy company and I would definitely recommend them. Fantastic service throughout.

Please do not buy a car from here. I bought a car with various fault lights on which I was told would turn and self correct - load of rubbish. The remote keys did not have the spares inside them which did not seem to matter to the garage when I told them. I then spent 6 weeks chasing around getting their repairs fixed in my own personal time. Terrible service and I would definitely not recommend buying from here.

Extremely disappointed with your negative comments about us Gerry. You have had an explanation regarding the key blades on several occasions, and your car was promptly attended to and resolved at no cost to you whatsoever. We have apologised profusely over the delay but the pandemic has caused a lot of businesses to operate at a reduced capacity causing delays to people in your situation. This is something none of us can control. We have gone above and beyond to ease the situation and even reimbursed you for a full tank of fuel and paid for a hire car for several days. We could not of done anything more to appease the situation.

Bought a Hyundai i40 from Monument Garage and was assured that the car had gone through its service and MOT with ‘flying colours’. Half way home from picking the car up the brake light started to flash. After a visit to a local dealer (was advised by Monument Garages that the car is under warrantee and I’d have to sort it myself), it turns out that the brake pipe was leaking, something fairly significant, and other mechanical issues which should have been picked up during the service and MOT. Furthermore, when picking up the car the owner found that his guys had lost one of the two keys for this car but was assured that the new key would be ordered and sent through the post in 10 working days. Waited 4 weeks and rang up to be advised that it’s still coming. Another 4 weeks and numerous phone calls later the key finally arrived at the dealership who then advised me that I would have to get it programmed at my own cost as they’d “met their side of the bargain” by supplying the key. I advised them that the key should come programmed and have since asked them to rectify this issue, but I’m now being met with silence. I would highly recommend that you steer clear of this dealership. They’re only interested in taking your money and have no intention of providing a standard level of customer service.

Firstly we are not a dishonest or a deceitful dealer as you stated in your review which i find offensive and totally uncalled for..You are correct in saying that the key took some time to arrive but as you were aware,the blade came to us uncut(which you were sent a photograph of a new Fob and Blade)Initially, and a replacement blade was ordered,which you were kept informed all through this process,you were also made fully aware at time of handover that a new key would need to be coded by a main dealer(and reminded on numerous occasions thereafter,as generally new key fobs don't come coded for security reasons from the factory, Secondly at no time nothing was ever mentioned to us either by your 6 emails or by telephone that you had an issue with the brakes or the brake pipe leaking.We outsource all our MOTs and never doubt the integrity of there findings,so surly they would of certainly picked up on this on the MOT test which was carried out prior to you taking delivery of your new car.
