I would not touch Moses Gate Car Sales with a barge pole, they think it is clever to mess you about when trying to buy your vehicle from you. Staff are so rude and will ring you at ridiculous times and then let you down buying your vehicle and come up with pitiful excuses, basically they will try to get your car off you for peanuts. Unfortunately he is so stupid that he forgot to withhold his number on one occasion and then pretended to be someone else to try to drive the price down. You then get the double act between staff digging themselves deeper into holes. These are everything that is wrong in the motor trade.

Kim Perkins in response to Arrogant Bunch
Hello, do you know if these people are still trading? I've been trying to contact them for weeks now and have written to both their site and registered office address and the letters have been returned. They don't answer the phone number I have. Any help would be very much appreciated. Regards, Kim
We too have been victims by this shower of low life, scheming,. We bought a 4x4 car from them early June and within ONE day of owning it, it became apparent from the crunching/banging noises that the car was utterly un-road worthy and not fit for purpose! We managed to get it to a local garage (god knows how because it was undriveable) to get it checked over... dualmass fly wheel failure, subsequent new clutch due to dmf removal, corrided power steering and slave cylinder. Total £2000!!! We phoned them but they initially bullshit you with “owner not here” or “can’t talk, just boarding a plane” or “owner in hospital with child blah blah head injury in Spain”. All bulllshit lies!! So within a week of owning the car we ‘formally’ rejected it and requested a full refund!!! We sent recorded delivery letters, emails etc - all to no avail - all phone lines went down including their phoney website. So they’ve folded!!! only to reappear again sometime soon under another name. PLEASE DO NOT EVER DEAL WITH MOSES GATE CAR SALES.

Moses Gate Car Sales, specifically Imran, are LIARS. After purchasing a Landcruiser in May 2018, on the drive home from their yard-space (not some else's plush dealership pictured on their website) the wheel nuts came loose at 70 mph on the motorway. There was a loud bang followed immediately by ferocious vibration and I cannot emphasise enough how close this was to causing a serious incident. The wheel centre cap was lost, one stud sheared off and the other four nuts holding the wheel on were more than finger loose to the point of there being nearly 10cm of travel at the top of the wheel when jacked off the ground at the side of the road. The other three wheels were all loose, but thankfully not as severely. It became apparent that as part of their adding value service of refurbishing the alloy wheels, which Imran took pleasure in informing me, some hero from the dark ages had decided to liberally apply copperease to the studs - this has been recognised as bad practise for many, many years. To cap it off, the nice people had decided to retain the locking wheel nut after half-heartedly refitting the wheels, which meant the remaining locking wheel nuts could not be tightened. When reporting this, Imran informed me that this was my issue, despite quite clearly on the day of purchase agreeing that if there was any non-reasonable wear and tear faults these would be covered by their three month warranty. I advised him that I purchased the car reasonably believing that the wheel nuts would be tight enough for me to get home and that it was a fault as a direct result of them taking the wheels off for refurbishment. When presented with the costs to carry out the repairs at the local Toyota dealer (only as these would be the only guys I could trust now), Imran advised that he would use their "approved repair network" to get the carry out the works at a cheaper cost and supplying parts from lord knows where but, and I quote here, "wheel studs from a Landcruiser we are picking up next week". After weeks of chasing and Imrans promises to rectify the problem, Imran assured that he would sort it out on the Monday. By the Tuesday no-one at the company was answering the phones. Surprise surprise I have still not received the V5, so yet another load of ball-ache and cost for me. The only Director registered with this company at Companies House is Azmet Khan who was not apparent in any of my dealings. These people are an utter disgrace to their trade. I would also question the competence of the MOT station Moses Gate use - Britannia Works, Gower Street, Bolton. Oh, and another thing, despite advertising and stamping the service book with the Moses Gate service stamp that they had changed the cambelt it transpired that they had not as the existing one "looked new" - this is FRAUD. Hopefully the names of these people will come out in the wash and any potential future victims can be warned as I am sure these people will be trading again soon under another name. Reading some of the other reviews here I wonder if I am one of the lucky ones.

I agree with you.bought a honda crv off them.they told me they had serviced the car.they had not.told me only two previous owners.lie....there had been 5.will not take any calls.

It saddens me to say it but I too have fallen for what I can only describe as fraudulent and unprofessional service from these. Purchased a car in good faith and within 10 days of this had nothing but problem after problem. As they appeared to have shut an doubt will re open under a different name, I think that their so called approved repair specialist need to be investigated. My car had passed its mot with a lot of shoddy and below par repairs. If anyone requires any further details or would like to follow up on my suggestion, then please get in touch. Thank Omar
I purchased a Land Cruiser on the 24th May 2018 ,and was assured that the vehicle was in top condition ,and if not these would put it right within the 3 month guarantee period. Fat chance. After repeated attempts to contact who I now understand does not actually exist . The list of things wrong are to numerous to list, mostly small things easily put right. The most serious is the gearbox. After several phone calls being given a pack of lies they stopped answering the phone.

Couldn’t agree more with this review. They are a pack of liars who claim to be a family run business. Do not buy from these people.I am taking them to court to reclaim on a car that they sold me that was unroadworthy. They initially said they would take it back because one of the mechanics had damaged it on the ramp which was also a lie but never returned the money or took the car back, Lies the whole time saying the boss is away and his daughter had suffered a head injury they will pay me next week....three weeks later....nothing. All lies. Disgusting people.
Kim Perkins in response to DREADFULL
I so wish I’d seen yours and the other reviews on this dreadful business. We bought a RAV4 in April and are having some real problems. It’s failed it’s MOT and is unroadworthy. I can’t get hold of anyone, phone numbers all seem dead, website down. Do you know if they are still operating and open for business? Even emails come back as undeliverable. Regards Kim
Moses Gate Car Sales is a joke. Abismal service, lies and complete disregard for the customer from the get go. They say they are 4x4 specialists they are just specialists at being con artists.... Here’s my story and why you should never deal with them. BEWARE THEY ARE EXTREMELY SHADY PEOPLE I bought a car (Landcruiser Amazon) from Moses gate sight unseen as I was many miles away that was described as very clean and in good condition with MOT until January and “ready for some overland trips.” I paid asking price £9,900 and had the car delivered after several conversations with Imran (who pretends to be Bernard sometimes) after reviewing the car I booked an inspection with totyota and when they got the car up on the ramp they said the service I had requested was pointless to carry out because the underside of the car was rotten. Rusted to everywhere with the brake cables held on with cable ties and holes in the chassis. It had instant mot failures you can see the video here to see the quality of the car they sold me it’s a joke - https://video.citnow.com/vp6NhtXn2qg I thought perhaps it could be repaired but after taking it to a local 4x4 overland preparation specialist he said it was the worst example he had ever seen in his life. He said it was so rusted it was pointless even welding it. He had no idea how it could of passed any MOT with NO ADVISORIES. Anyone in their right mind would mention the huge hole within 30cm of the suspension. So 4 days after receiving the vehicle I call them to say the vehicle is not safe, not as described and not roadworthy. I just wanted to return the car to them and get my money back but they were not going to make it that simple. Even though I had raised the concerns and sent them the video they still denied anything wrong with the car. Imran said he watched the video and didn’t see anything wrong!!!! Imran (claims he’s not the boss but makes all the decisions) said all landcruisers this age have rust and rudely told me to get legal representation because they would not accept it back. Under the consumer rights act you have 30 days to return anything you buy if it is not fit for purpose OR not as described. I tried to explain this to him but his rudeness and stupidity made it impossible to have a civilised conversation. So I called my lawyer. When I wrote to them saying that I would be taking legal action they changed their tune. They admitted there was damage to the car but tried to tell me it was caused by one of their mechanics who had kept quiet about it and they had been unaware that it happened. This is clearly a lie because the holes were caused by rust. You could put your finger through it. They then offered to buy the car back for £9,000 when I paid £9,900 and cost me £200 to be looked at by Toyota. So they could make money out of their mistake???? No way. I said I wanted a full refund and they finally agreed but said the boss was away until next week and could not make payment. Strange but ok. They can have a week I thought. One week later and Imran calls me again saying the boss is still away and I will be paid next week....that was last week and I have still not been refunded. 3 weeks I have been waiting...They did not even call to tell me that I wasn’t going to be paid. My Lawyer has written to them and they do not respond... I will be taking them to court to claim back losses and compensation as well as the money they agreed to give back to me but have still not after 3 weeks because they are scumbags. Imran is especially nasty person, always making threats saying that if I took them to court they would argue the damage to the vehicle I bought took place after I took ownership of it just because I had my lawyer write to them asking for my money back which is my right as a consumer. His tone is aggressive and rude and he is about as helpful as a kick in the face. BUYER BEWARE I am still without my money and my lawyer is starting court proceedings.

I recently purchased a beautiful vehicle from Moses gate car sales. I was very impressed and pleased with the service from all the staff. They made it easy, stress free, and helped me find the perfect vehicle. The car came extremely clean and was running smooth when I picked it up. I greatly appreciate all of your knowledge and help. Thanks again so much, I look forward to doing business again sometime in the future.

You were either very very lucky or you work for them!
I bought a car from this dealer. To start with they are very sweet until they sell you a car after that you will be on your own !!! two weeks after I bought a car everything was falling a part.To start with the front tyres were illegal and had to replace them ,then the battery died and had to be replaced too all at an extra cost !! then the engine oil indicator started lighten up which indicated that the engine is leaking oil.I took it to a professional garage and it turns out that it needed £1300 repair services !! When I called them to tell them about these problem they refused to honour their warranty and I was left on my own !! PLEASE DO NOT BUY ANY CAR FROM THIS DEALER as you will end up like me just paying bills !!
