2010 Ford KUGA ......My Mum bought a car for cash. Yes, sales staff were great. But just after 8 1/2 weeks and only 400+ miles she had a problem with the turbo, so rang them and they told me to take car down for their mechanic to look at, in which she did. Even though she still had 3 weeks of warranty left, they didn't do anything, the mechanic didn't even take it for a drive to listen to the noise from the turbo, he said there was nothing wrong with it, She paid £500 for extra 2 yrs warranty. she had to ring the warranty company as the turbo was getting worse and got a message on the dashboard saying engine malfunction so got back in touch with Moto-vation and they arranged to take it the garage they use. When she got diagnostics back they said it was down to wear and tear even though she only had it for less than 6 months and under 1200 miles driven. The warranty company said they wouldn't pay for repairs due to wear and tear, but did offer a goodwill payment of £200, leaving me the £400 to pay. So been in touch with CAB and trading standards and was advice that she could have took car back for full refund, asked them to pay for full repairs or take it to small claims court. she did make a proposal to moto-vation if they would pay £200 towards costs and she would pay other £200. she was told NO. she bought the car out off my inheritance from my nanas will and even a private number plate with my nanas name on it. So now shes definitely taking the matter further

Went to look at cars staff were friendly and helpful to begin with (as long as they are getting a sale), decided on a Peugeot 208 for £6000.. The car ran great for the first couple of days then the "Engine Warning light came on took it back as it was under warranty was in for the afternoon & supposed to of been fixed, took the car home couple of days later it came back on so took it back for them to "supposedly fix the gearbox" but yet again after taking it home an hour later light was back on. for 5 weeks the car was back & forth to this garage with nothing actually being done apart from them taking the engine warning light off with a computer & then the engine warning light being completely removed ( bit dangerous if you ask me). Took it to Halfords for a obd check there was lots of things wrong with it MOTO-VATION wouldn't do anything as it wasn't under warranty anymore. I ended up taking it to an independent garage to see what they could do £500 out of pocket later i find out its because whatever "garage" MOTO-VATION were using at the time overloaded the fuses in the glovebox with fuses that are supposed to be put under the bonnet leaving me with a car that isn't safe to use & that no one will fix. bearing in mind i had my young children in the car when everything shut down on it including the breaks. MOTO-VATION are not concerned with your safety only the sales they get.

Moto Vation from Moto-vation in response to worst car of my life!!!
Hi Richard, I am saddened it has now come to this. You purchased your vehicle over 6 months ago. Within this time, any time you have called with a worry or any issue with your vehicle, we have booked it straight in for you and resolved it. The last time you called to advise that a light had come on, we made you aware that you were out of warranty with us but can get it booked in for you to check over. The car was taken to an independent garage for a diagnostic. There was no light on, nor did it have any codes when plugged on to the machine. It does not benefit the garage AT ALL saying that the car has no issues as if there was something to fix, that is how they get paid. Since then we heard nothing from you until you left a negative review which was very unexpected. Fast forward to last week, you have called us to say that you have had your car in Halfords and unsurprisingly they have given you a list of faults with your vehicle. I advised a garage that you could take it to and get a second opinion if you chose to which you agreed. You have then sent rude messages, emailed threatening court procedures and have now left 4 1 star reviews on different public platforms. We have been nothing but helpful and understanding with you which has led to you making threats and slandering our business. We are very reasonable and always aim to help any customer, whether at the time of purchase or aftercare and whether they are still within the warranty period or not. It is unfortunate that you do not feel this way however if you would still like our help, please feel free to give me a call to discuss. Kind regards, Moto Vation
