Well we bought a Landrover from them and within 3 days noticed a fault so did my research and turns out it was the torque converter in the gearbox which to be fair to them they fixed under warranty but took three weeks also Landrover went into body shop to get a scratch removed on rear boot prior to us picking it up and it came back debadged which sucks as we didn’t even get the badges back also heater in car is faulty on passenger side please go elsewhere as I’ve bought a money pit

Bought a car which developed a fault within a short time They refused any contact to sort it out under the warranty once they had the quote to fix it. They are now going into liquidation. Do not buy from them.

They sell cars with known faults They say you have warranty cover with the car The warranty does not cover anything & is not worth the paper it's wrote on Travelled 85 miles to purchase car from them It stated had reverse sensors on it on advert It never had them so they had to get them fitted I had to go back a week later to get car so another 85 miles there so in total 340 miles + 85 miles extra for return of sons car that took myself Had car at garage as knocking noise the rear springs suspension coils & roll bar ling's & bushes had gone also brake pads & brake disc all-round Garage phoned warranty to be told no it's not covered even though car had only been driven 85 miles Had to pay for work to be done Cost hundreds Motor city just said bring car 85 miles back in dangerous condition to be diagnosed but it had already been diagnosed & repaired They now ignore us & have not done anything about this Meant to be AA approved as well Disgusting way to trade Stay well clear of this place I informed them I would report them to relevant company's & leave bad reviews they just don't care.

I bought a £6.5K car just over three months ago from Motor City. From day one there was a problem with the car blowing out white smoke. Initially, I was told it had been run low on fuel so is probably just soot blowing out. Wanting to believe them I continued driving it but nothing changed. They agreed to have a look at it. The mechanic they use struggled to find it but eventually did, it was the dpf. To fix it he removed one from another car and put it on mine, in my opinion, it really should have been a new one. When I got the car back there was a dent in the rear quarter panel, I showed Dave the dent, his response was it's only a small one. it's hardly noticeable, he didn't want to entertain sorting it out. I didn't pursue it because I didn't want the mechanic held responsible for it. The just about a week before the 3-month warranty runs out I take the car back as it's losing water. They said take it to the mechanic which I did and he diagnosed a faulty water pump. I told Motorcity is was the water pump and basically, they didn't want to know, initially saying they wouldn't cover it as it was a replaceable item?????? LOL. I said they really need to or they will not get a positive review from me to which then I was promised calls back from Dave or someone else which I never received. I gave them a deadline to call me back which in total was a week after I raised the issue. I received a text the morning of the deadline saying I would get a callback, that was yesterday, it never came. It cost me £145 total for a good water pump, fluid, and the labour. I warned them that it will end up costing them much more in lost sales by sorting out this fault but the reality is they just want to sell cars and make their profit, truthfully they are not 100% behind customer satisfaction. By the way, I purchased a very reliable branded car, so don't think you won't have any issues if you spend £5-10K on a car. Do what they do, go the auction and the buy the car yourself, budget to pay a few hundred to sort any possible problems and save yourself a whole lot of money. If I have any major issues with my car I will get a solicitor and pursue them through the sale of goods act. I will say, Mohammed, I know you're just doing your job. Dave, it's a real shame you didn't sort this out for me. This is an honest review of the facts of my experience at Motorcity Peterborough.

Thanks for the review. Mohammed is indeed a great guy, and I was close to closing a deal on an £18k land rover with him today. This review has been very useful and made me review my decision.

Bought a car from Motor City that appeared reasonable and was told it would be fully serviced and MOT'd and that it was in a good condition. They sold be a shiny car that was in fact a banger under the hood. Always trust your gut instinct.

Avoid Motor City Ltd if possible. Bought a car from here in March 2017. A week or so later I received a letter from the people who provide the warranties on the cars, Momentum Warranties Limited, explaining that Motor City Limited hadn't paid them and as such the warranty that Motor City boasts about is worthless. The flat tyre that I asked him to fix before I bought the car was just pumped up - it went flat again in a few days. And after 4 weeks the battery went dead - he supplied it with a dud battery. All of which wouldn't have been a problem if he'd paid the warranty. Now I'm landed with repair bills, which unlike him I will have to pay.

I purchased a Citroen C4 from this dealership in May. Everything was okay apart from the fact that am still waiting for my part ex money... But the price was reasonable and nothing has gone wrong with the car up to now.
