We bought a 15 plate Volvo S60 Rdesign (30,000 miles) here in Nov 18, now Apr 19 the nightmare has finally ended. The car came to us with empty promises of bodywork repairs for later dates, the car broke down after 10 days taking 33days for a repair only to break down again after 5 days, had to go back and fourth for various other bits and then again smoke bellowing from the engine. Communication non existent, happy to fob you off as much as possible and lie through their teeth. The finance company has rejected the vehicle but has left us with no car, we've paid the finance for months when we've not had the car and they've withheld 2 payments (£554) for the millege on the car that was certainly not driven by us, as it broke down if you tried to do more than 10miles its been sat at Motor Depot and other garages for the rest of the time, finance could take weeks to dip off for other lenders to look at us, we've spent the last 5 months not knowing where we stand chasing staff for answers, being passed around and lied to, in unsuitable hire cars and not knowing how long we will have them for and come off badly from it. We px a perfectly good car for 5 months of being at the mercy of motor depot and stress, a bill for mileage on a car that was unsafe and not driven, paying monthly finance payments for a car we did not have and insurance, no car no deposit and more stress of not knowing how I'm supposed to get to work. Even with all the faults and issues the way Motor Depot have handled the situation has been dreadful I could go on about this place but we've wasted enough of our time. *MASSIVE MISTAKE LESSON LEARNT CAR LOTTERY*
Paid a deposit and arranged for a car to be moved for me. The car was never moved and have now been trying for a month to get my deposit back

Purchasing a car from Motordepot Grimsby has been a perfect experience from the initial viewing to collecting the car of my choice, no pressure sales and Gavin was first class in helping me through every step ,nothing was to much trouble for him and I'm very happy with my purchase and would recommend Motordepot Grimsby to all family and friends. The service department and aftersales have also been excellent.

After being asked by Motordepot to leave a deposit on a car which we did we left £100 paid on card being told it will be refunded back if we change our mind after the test drive. My daughter found a car elsewhere so we went back to get our deposit to be told it’s been put back on to the card already, we thought this a little strange so waited and kept checking on line banking no refund. So rang the branch back up to which I was told they don’t refund the card holder it’s the person who has purchased the car who gets the refund. So after being lied to by this sales man Phil we were told that we would receive the refund but I suppose they will tell you anything to try get a sale. We are now out of pocket due to giving my daughter the money and she was not aware of this either. I was aware that you cannot refund someone else if you pay for the product by a card transaction will be taking to trading standards on Monday as this firm is a joke along with the con men that work in there. Do not leave a deposit as you won’t see it again
I popped in to MotorDepot this weekend just gone to have a look at an Evoque that they had advertised. On arriving we found it round the side along with some other cars under trees and covered in sap. All the bodywork was sticky and covered from head to toe. £23000 they were asking for this car and that is the state they leave it sitting there in. Appalling...All cars should be wiped everyday if not washed especially when you are selling a vehicle at the price it was advertised. I walked away as it showed to me no one cared and I bought from another local garage instead. Will never ever go here to buy anything. Disgusted. If i could give a zero rating then that is what i would have done.

Collected car 10 days ago and I'm still waiting for my deposit to be refunded into my account. They took payment out of my account in a matter of minutes but my refund is now over 10 days and still waiting. The most appalling customer service I've ever experienced. Excuse after excuse and so it goes on!!! Nobody rings you back. And a little delight- I folded down the back seats of the car I've just purchased to find a pile of dog sick!!!! Wonderful valet service eh!!! Took them 5 days to 'prepare' a filthy car with dog puke still in it!! I'd go elsewhere to buy a car- AVOID THIS PLACE!!!!
After sales is poor. Nobody will speak to you apart from your names sales person... so if they’re day off or on holiday. Manager goes grumpy when you point out issues.

I bought a brand new car from Motor Depot last year. I had a problem at the time as the log book for the car had got lost. It took them 3 weeks to sort it out. I paid cash for the the car at the time and I don't think it went down very well. The manager gave me a set of mats as a good will gesture. When I've bought a new car from other dealerships they have always phoned and informed me about the first service. The young man that sold me the car was a nice, polite and helpful lad. I never had a call telling me the first service was due with Motor depot though. Perhaps when you pay cash your expected to disappear over the horizon and forgotten?
