Bought a car from motor depot and it suffered brake failure whilst on the motor way. Had major issues resolving the problem till they accepted and changed the car only to give me a car with some kind of questionable MOT. They said the car was MOT but it wasn’t leaving me with a car with no MOT. Absolutely a disgrace of a company. They don’t give a damn about anything but getting that sale even if it means putting life in danger.
Motor Depot are fine when you’re buying a car, but abysmal afterwards. The day we picked ours up (December 2017) there were knocks and scratches on the car that hadn’t been repaired, having agreed they would be beforehand. This was sorted EVENTUALLY, but only after getting on their case several times a day. The company didn’t declare the change of ownership, as they said hey would, and we ended up paying tax on our old car for three months. Basically no aftercare or customer service from Motor Depot, would never buy a car from them again.

Right car beverley are the same
Bought a Nissan Qashqai last year. Had to have a new battery, brake disc and pass, alternator and now Ecuador. The garage are not bothered. Very poor customer service. DO NOT USE THIS GARAGE
We bought a van from there and the levels of customer service from the service department are terrible. Do not buy the service package - be aware if you have bought a vehicle from there you need to book in at least two months in advance!!!
We asked to view and test drive a vehicle that was for sale at this site. This was on a Thursday for a Sunday test drive. I was asked to pay for a reservation to hold this vehicle (which was fair) although I was then asked to pay in full for the vehicle, which I refused.....We travelled from Hertfordshire to Hull in bad weather conditions....when we arrived, there was confusion over where the vehicle was, nobody could give us consistent detail regarding previous owners or service history. We were then led to the vehicle which was unable to start and had holes in the roof.. We were promised by the agent that the roof would be replaced and that they would advise and confirm this first thing Monday...........On the Monday I had three phonecalls asking me to pay in full for the vehicle....When I commented about the problems, I was eventually told that the roof wouldn't be replaced, it would be patched........We declined.....In truth, it was a totally awful experience, and nobody spoke with continuity or knowledge of the previous calls they had made....No confidence in this company and I would advise others to be very very careful if you decide to buy from them.....

Tony in response to buyer beware
Hello i was just wondering if you got your deposit back as im still waiting to get mine back. They are being very difficult and judging by other reviews there is quite a few not been refunded and had to take them to court!
After purchasing what we thought was a "brand new Ford Kuga". (It had done 100 miles, still have manufacturing stickers on the vehicle) we was excited to collect. On collection day, we were told that "the radio doesn't work" and it has "intermittent faults" and "it will just need to be looked at by a local ford garage for repairs". We decided to take the vehicle away after being reassured this was a 2017 fault, and would be simply resolved by a simple diagnostic. Almost 1 month later we have a vehicle with no Sat Nav, no Blue Tooth, No radio/cd. NO CLOCK! The whole console system is dead, It has been in twice now to a local ford manufacturers and they still cannot diagnose. Taking time out of my day to drop of this vehicle, and pick it up. What should have been a wonderful experience in buying a new family car, is turning into a complete nightmare. The ford garage need it now for 3 days, with little confidence this is going to be resolved. Motor depot have agreed to pay for the loan car, but that isnt the issue. The issue is the branch is so busy (cheap cars!) and the staff are either inexperienced or purely commission driven. In the end i refused to deal with the salesman, he was miss informative and very little help. The cars dont get "checked" until D-Day and if the vehicles show up having issues, its generally too late to fix it. And the depot's answer to this is that they are just selling too many cars to be able to get them serviced/ checked quick enough. We purchased an £18,000 vehicle from Motor depot in Hessle, and feel that we have been well and trult done over. I'd have rather paid over and above for a) service, and b) a fully working/ checked vehicle. The vehicle aside, the company has other issue- allowing us to leave the depot, with the new vehicle without signing a scrap of finance paperwork. It was only when I rang the depot back to query it, did they realise their mistake. Warning to car buyers...WOULD NOT PURCHASE HERE!

We went across to motor depot in Hessle yesterday morning with the intention of test driving and buying a car, unfortunately this didn't happen. As I was travelling from the Scunthorpe area, I rang the branch at 8:30 am to arrange a test drive of 2 different vehicles, I was then informed that I didn't need to book a test drive, I just needed to wait for a sales person and they would take me out. We arrived at motor depot around 9:30 am as I was told they wouldn't be too busy at that time. Me and my family then had over a 30/ 40 minute wait for a sales person, it was that long that the reception staff kept checking that we'd been seen. When we did eventually see a sales person, she refused to take us out on a test drive unless we were 100% sure we were buying it. I told her that if I liked the car on the test drive, I would pay the deposit. She then refused again to take us out unless we were 100% sure how we were going to pay for the car. Previously, when we had visited motor depot in Scunthorpe, they were fantastic. They took us out on a test drive of 2 different vehicles, then discussed financing options therefore I came to the Hessle branch with more of an idea of how I wanted to purchase the car, which I told the lady was a bank loan. She then wasted our time talking about pcp but still refusing to take us out on the test drive. I am fuming because not only did I waste fuel, I also had to pay a bridge toll for no reason at all but a waste of mine and my family's time. Unfortunately me and my husband work until late in the week so can't visit the branch in the week. I wouldn't buy a house without viewing it and having a survey, I wouldn't buy a top without trying it on so I definitely would not be 100% sure I am going to buy a £12,000 car without test driving it! We also mentioned to the lady that this was the first new car we had ever bought so we wanted to make sure we were 100% sure we liked the car before buying. I would definitely not recommend motor depot in Hessle to any of my family and friends! They waste your time!

Mark from Motor Depot Hessle in response to Motor depot Hessle
Good Afternoon, I'm sorry to hear that you were not happywith your experience at our Hessle branch. Could you please email me details of the vehicle you were interested in and the person who dealt with you, I will then be able to look into this matter further for you. Kind Regards, Mark Taylor
Wouldn’t recommend this company to my worst enemy, sold me a car with a major fault . Once they got my money they were not interested. There gesture of good will was laughable. Had a two month waiting time just to look at the car. Bunch of comedians! I will tell everybody not to buy a car from here. Very dismissive customer service!!

Don’t care about you after they’ve taken your money. I bought an almost new van from the Scunthorpe branch. I had a catalogue of issues from the outset. All the minor things pointed out on the pre-sale inspection we’re not completed. The van was advertised with satnav, yet I have no satnav, they are supposed to be sorting it but don’t ever get back intouch. I have called in many times and just get fobbed off. They are always busy knocking the sales out and then don’t care
Ok after putting a reserve on a car I was after buying I heard nothing no phone call no email in the light of lots of people telling me how crap they were I decided not to go ahead yes I've lost the small deposit I put down but I consider that a blessing in disguise as customer service is a joke don't know anybody that could give this company five stars I would give it no stars but unfortunately I have to give it at least 1
