In December 2024, we purchased a car with a full MOT and three-year warranty which turns out not to have been registered. The dealership has since shut down its website, stopped answering calls, and still has not registered the warranty. There are now faults with the car and we’ve discovered that many other customers have had the same issue—cars being sold with fraudulent MOTs and swindling people of money for false warranties. The fact that this business has suddenly gone silent, ignoring customers who trusted them, is beyond unacceptable. If you are thinking of buying from them or any of their related businesses, STAY AWAY! They are deceiving people and seem to be running from their responsibilities. I will be reporting them to Trading Standards and other authorities for their unethical practices. Do not fall for their scams! If you’ve had a similar experience, report them and warn others before more people get ripped off.

We've had similar problems to other reviewers on here so I have now written to this garage and below is a copy of my letter. I have not as yet had a response. No point in going through AA as they don't infact belong to this scheme and are falsely advertising that they do. AA are going to address this issue but can't help with our problems. I am going to report them and the MOT station to the DVLA as I believe they have broken the law. Dear Sirs On Oct 19th we purchased from you a Skoda Roomster registration PJZ 4126. When we test drove this car the red brake warning light was on but your salesman said that this was because the car had just had a flat battery and as the brakes were good and the car was going to come with a new MOT I accepted his explanation and paid a deposit. When we came to pick the car up the red brake light was still on plus the abs and esp lights were on. Your salesman said that this was not a problem and was still part of the battery charging problem and that your mechanics were busy but if we took the car to our local garage they would be able to cancel these lights. As the car had obviously passed the MOT with these lights on and we were in a hurry to get back to our dogs I foolishly let this go and drove the car home. I arranged for a full service with our local garage and asked them to cancel the warning lights as advised by your salesman but they couldn't cancel them because there is a real problem with the brakes and abs system and they said the car should never have passed an MOT with these lights on. You should not have sold this vehicle knowing the MOT was invalid especially as the problem was associated with the brakes which could have put our lives at risk. Now to add to the problems the speedo has stopped working and the EPC light has come on. There are a couple of ways to resolve this problem to our satisfaction. As it would be illegal to drive the car to you without a speedo and with dodgy brakes, you can either come and pick it up and provide us with a courtesy car whilst you fix it or you can agree to pay whatever it costs for our local garage to resolve the problems. Now I appreciate that I can't actually prove any of what your salesman said to us and shouldn't have driven the car away until it was fixed and you will probably feel tempted to ignore this issue but I am hoping your good name means something to you. If you do however decide to ignore this issue I will be left with no alternative but to escalate my complaint via the AA car standard approved code that you advertise your membership of and will also report the MOT tester and your garage to the DVLA. Now I really do trust and hope that I do not have to take this course of action but I do not appreciate being stitched up and having mine and my wife's lives possibly put at risk. I am actually satisified with the vehicle in general and the price we paid for it and just want it fixed at no further expense to ourselves.

Paid a deposit for a car a few months ago. Changed mind about the car and refused to refund the deposit. So i keft a bad review on their website Went through AA to recover the money and they said if I took down the review they would refund the money. Needless to say I never got the money back after AA team Co standby contacting the dealer.
This dealership is not dissimilar to a bunch of school boys who pass the blame from one to another. It’s practically impossible to get the same person on the phone, so each time I call, the person who answers claims they know nothing of the issue with the car. They don’t respond to emails and it’s useless following up through the AA cars chat service as all chat is directed straight back to the dealer. I flagged up issues with the car in the test drive and I was promised that a full MOT will be done and any repairs completed that were flagged up. I based my decision to buy the car on the fact that the car passed MOT as it was in reasonable condition for it’s age and mileage. It was delivered with the same illegal fault that I flagged up from the test drive. Could not return the car as I didn’t have any paperwork and the business was closed for a religious celebration and I wasn’t sure I was even able to drive it safely with the red highlighted fault that is still showing. When they reopened after the holiday, I have had every excuse from the main person in charge of all decisions is away on annual leave, so nothing can be done until he’s back to we don’t have anyone who deals with customer support, we are only sales personnel. When Mo did get back from holiday and asked me to take the car to a garage local to me for a diagnostic test and quote on what the work will cost, he has not responded to my calls or emails since confirming I can get the necessary work done. As they are a registered AA car dealership, I thought I was “in safe hands” (as they continually assure me) but when I asked for an AA inspection of the car they told me all inspections had already been carried out by the AA. How did this car get through an MOT with a major fault? Something is very wrong here…. As yet, still no resolution to my issue… Please avoid this dealership!!!!

Looks like we’ve had the same issues…. The only way I got a reply was to turn up to the garage, whilst they’re serving a customer, tell the potential customers what they’re like in front of them, you’ll soon get answers!!! My car is booked in at Land Rover for the 5th of September. Would be 9 weeks without a vehicle mind… yet to see what will come out of it. Based on what’s happened I doubt very much at all, but at least they admitted fault!

Also!!!!! I’ve just looked and their website is gone, they are off of auto trader so looks like they’re changing names or going into bankruptcy/liquidation!!!!!!!

We have just been stitched up in exactly the same way as you were. My intention is to report the MOT tester and this garage to the DVLA as I believe they have both committed a criminal offence in knowingly allowing us to drive vehicles that are in a dangerous condition and thereby putting our lives at risk. Will you please join me in this action as the DVLA will take more notice the more of us report them. Terry
If I could give minus 5 stars I would, if you’re even thinking of purchasing a car from this joke of a company don’t waste your time even enquiring. Will promise you a 3 month warranty, not actually register the car with the warranty company and god forbid anything breaks…..the warranty company will ‘reject’ your claim. After Motor Hut making the CUSTOMER pay to get the broken car transported to a garage to be diagnosed, even though you’re told they have a workshop that can carry out repairs…🤯 you will be told your diagnostics are not good enough, they will offer to come to your house to diagnose using there tools and machinery, then repeatedly not turn up and give excuse after excuse as to why they cannot come. They will then back track themselves and say it’s an in house warranty and that the car is sold as seen, in the same sentence may I add…🤔 I’m now over £11,000 out of pocket thanks to this poor excuse of a garage who boast about there and I quote ‘ First class customer service’ and ‘offering advice on vehicles and vehicle maintenance and our friendly staff will go the extra mile to guarantee that you receive the advice and support you need.’ HAHA. I certainly haven’t received any first class customer service, repeatedly being told I’m at fault and being fobbed off. Absolute shambles, save your time, effort and money and avoid this garage at all costs.

Tracey in response to Avoid this garage….
I have had a similar experience, wish I had seen this before I bought my car from them! I’m always told I’m in safe hands, was pressured into my purchase after I insisted on a full MOT. They passed the car through MOT with a red warning light and have said it doesn’t affect the drive of the car. They should NOT be an AA cars dealership!!! I have noticed that all terrible reviews have been left this year. They may have been a good dealership once but definitely not anymore!!!!
