They sold me a car with no service history but they insisted there was and that they had hpi certificate which they were going to send in the post which never came. In my nativity I accepted their words for it. The mileage seemed to have been clocked. The car started developing problems within few months of purchase. When they were contacted they insisted it was outside their warranty period hence I had pay huge sums of money to sort out.

The sales assisant called Hardy made us put a desposit down on the car for us to test drive and once we decided that we no longer want the car ignored our calls and emails to return the deposit. He was so pushy and manipulative.....avoid dealing with Motorline Direct.

I recently bought a BMW 1 series from motorline direct and found the staff so helpfull from Hardy in sales and Ellen and Anna in after sales and service. Nothing was to much trouble for any of them. Absolutely brilliant, I will definitely go there for my next motor. I am very pleased with my purchase.

I went to the Motorline Direct Maidstone branch to buy a car, I had a 10 minute test drive. I ask if they offer driveaway insurance they will say their insurance system is down and cannot offer it to you. I then said give me a full tank in replacement, they will say I will ask my boss then come back and say no. They will try and say they hae 5, 6, or 7 people waitin to see the car, to try and pressure you to take it. I did agree to buy the car at the advertised price becuase I need one asap (warning don't rush in to buy a car even if you really like it, you will certainly be out of pocket). We shook hands and pay the deposit after which they will then add a £129 admin fee, I dispute this and the say it was advertise as so. He will show you their website with the added fees. I checked when I got home and it was not there in autotrader. They will then tell you, they cannot advertise with added fees on auto trader, yet other traders have it in the description they will then say that is allowed yet it was not on theirs. They will repeat that they told me before hand, which was plain lying. I asked for my deposit back and they told me ok at first then when I insist they say no. They will make you fill in other forms not relating to the purchase of the car and wont release the car until you sign up. I believe this company was on watchdog a few years ago for the same tactics, I only realised when I double check, by then it was too late. They get a lot of bad review. The car was suppose to have been checked over but the oil was not change as I comment it was dirty and they said it would be changed. Inside you can see the dust on some parts, just a quick wipe was all they did. I don't believe they did anything to it from the first time I saw it.

I think this review is for the Motorline in Kent and not Motorline Direct (2 Seperate companies). I've been to Motorline Direct in Shepshed and found them very helpful.
Advertised price incorrectly , then tried to make it was somehow something I didn’t understand. Car wasn’t flawless or adequately clean. Didn’t seem to drive perfectly, & had a misalignment gap at the front. It needed a service but they wouldn’t do it to manufacturers spec!! Most of the staff were ok, but they need customer service training, & his manager should just admit they made mistakes. I would have worked with them to resolve issues, but they were unprofessional & I’ll be buying elsewhere even if it costs more!!!

I went to view a top end car booked appointment, arrived then had to wait half hour to be seen. Went to test drive car no fuel in it. Eventually took it out EM light into limp mode. Left, booked another appointment they said the car was fine. Guess what it happened again. I said if they get it sorted which they said they would as I did want the car I asked will they clean the leather. Gary the SA said oh they won't do that. I literally LOL you would of thought they would of bent over backwards the time and money it cost me to view the car. Don't use terrible car. Got a better car than one I viewed.

Phoned numerous times about a car just come on market. Promised I would be called back with info, nothing each time. Makes you wonder what would happen if there’s a problem post sales.... that is if the staff can be bothered.
