Bought and MG3. Looked lovely and only 2 years old. I bought it due to the 4 year MG warranty. When the car turned up it looked lovely apart from the wheel nut which had a little rust. You have a week to see if you like the car or to give it back. The car drove great and the milage was low and as far as the rust on the wheel nuts was concerned, it was easily rectified and I thought a bit lazy by motorpoint not to pay attention to detail. Anyway i kept the car and got some wheel nut covers, which look fab. 2 months on I've notices rust blisters of above the windshild. Closer inspection they've been touched up and also undr the bonnet more rust. Really shocking when they say the cars are inspected and sold looking like new.

Really unhappy about my car. Bought it in December 2020 and now leaking oil. Only three years old. Only had a three month warranty so now I have to shell out. Hardly driven the car as been working from home mainly. It’s just disappointing to have things go wrong so soon after buying a car. They were hopeless on the phone unfortunately and obviously it’s not their issue now as warranty expired. An apology or offer to go to their garage may have been a nice gesture.

Hello. I recently had the misfortune to lose my pride and joy car. The wiring loom caught fire, and my car was written off. After a very good and fair settlement, from my insurers, I found a replacement car at Motorpoint Newport, I contacted a really nice sales man, Sunny, with a few questions about this car, who answered my small list, fully and reassuringly, without hesitation. This made me enquire further, as he was very professional in his manner. I can only speak as I find, and Sunny and I made a deal, in the same phone call. Nothing was rushed, no sales pressure, he was patient throughout our long conversation, including information, to cover every stage of the buying procedure at Motor point. I was able to E mail or phone any concerns I may have, or any after thoughts, and Sunny was quick to reply, or phone. I couldn’t ask for better. After I paid a deposit, Motorpoint moved the car from Newport to Peterborough, then free deliver today. My car arrived just how it was described. I'm very pleased, thank you. Andy in Norfolk.

Sold me a car with that was at risk of catching fire, Had to book straight in to a garage! Just proves they don’t check their vehicles before selling!

Looked at a car for sale at Motorpoint Newport on a Wednesday and agreed would buy after a test drive if I liked it. Car had not been through Preparation that we pay £99 for an was told it would take 2 days. Salesman would call me on the Saturday. In the end I had to call and was told he was about to call me (surprise there) made an appointment to pick up car on the Monday at 10-00. Called on Sunday afternoon and told that 10.00 slot not available and offered 12-00. In the end had an 11.00 slot. Test drove car all OK. No paperwork with car no service record, handbook, spare key or Sat Nav SSD. Did not buy car that day. Contacted on the Next Wednesday by a manager and informed all the pack was now there. Appointment made for Thursday at 12.00. Still not seen at 12.30. Then still no spare key. Was informed that they had located the key and it would be sent out recorded delivery. Guess what. Still no key nearly a week later. Will end up phoning and getting shunted about from person to person and still no key. I am really looking forward to this.

After buying a car from Motorpoint Newport I am sorry to say it's the last. The staff must have lessons in how to say sorry because that's all you will get out of them. Buyer beware! After noticing door slightly out of alignment I found out that car had been repaired. If you don't ask they will not tell you about any previous damage , no matter how low the mileage is. Car returned for repair. Turned up to collect fixed car, they couldn't even be bothered to check the work , we'll I'm sorry to say the workmanship was diabolical and door needed new plastic fitting. Off home again in smelly curtesy car for second time. After speaking to several staff at Motorpoint in one call and being transferred to four different sales staff and the last one transferred me to different branch altogether. All you get is very sorry, very sorry. Well I'm very sorry for not buying future car from you.
