I reserved a car online and visited the Peterborough site to finalise purchasing the vehicle. Made to wait for a long time and continually ignored by staff when I asked about the delay. Made a complaint and was promised free car mats as an apology. Was told that the key battery was low and a replacement would be sent. The car had a fault showing. Was assured this would correct after 30 minutes driving. It didn't and hasn't. Had to chase up the car mats and key battery because they were never sent. Cut off from call centre repeatedly. It took 5 days to actually speak to someone who would send these out. V5 never received so I have had to apply to DVLA for that. Have now seen online that Motorpoint are in financial difficulties so be careful of giving them a deposit. Don't do what they promise and I won't use them again.

Don't trust Motorpoint saying a car has a "Service History". I purchased a Mercedes CLA advertised as having a full service history. On handover I was informed by their employee that the history was digital and with the vehicle manufacturer. 18 months later I'm looking to part-ex the vehicle against a camper so I asked Mercedes for the service history. Mercedes say they have no record of the car ever being serviced. I have approached Motorpoint and been told that an oil and filter change which they say they completed in 2018 when they first sold the car (they've sold it twice) is the only history they have for the car and that it suffices for them to describe that car as having a service history. I even still have the original handover paperwork that says the car has a digital, manufacturers service history. I would never have paid what I did for this car without them saying it had a history. The person who told me it had a full Mercedes service history apparently no longer works there. I'm off to trading standards, beware of this company of scheisters!

We bought a Fiat 500 from this dealership in November, sadly by August a clear site of repair on the bumper became visible in the paint. At the time of buying the car we were careful to specifically ask if the car had had any work done in the workshop prior to sale and the salesman lied to us, saying it hadn’t. The reason we asked this question was because a Fiesta we bought from here five years ago later had paint peeling off the bumper from a site of repair and the company told us that they have no duty to inform us of any previous repairs unless we specifically ask. Had the salesman told the truth we would never have bought the car in the first place. We were misled and mis-sold the car. We are deeply upset by the subsequent handling of our complaint. The company boasts excellent customer service but nothing could be further from the truth. The customer service department have shown no empathy whatsoever, an employee telling lies does not appear to be an issue and they are not interested in resolving the issue and prefer to encourage litigation. This is unlike any car dealership I have ever dealt with. I will never return having been sold two damaged cars with exceptionally low mileage. Our Fiat only had 4000 miles on it. When something goes wrong there is very poor customer service and communication.

I purchased a car over a month ago and they have not payed off my other car which was the px . so now I'm paying for a car i don't own now. think very hard about going to motorpoint . as for phoning they only pick the phone up in sales.

Went to collect my new car to discover (on my inspection )large burn mark iunder steering column that had tried to be hidden by covering in black silicone.Shocking service would never by a car again or recommend

The whole purchase was a disaster right from the start I have rang the sales Team reserved my Vauxhal Crossland and when I asked if I can pick it up on behalf of my Mrs they said yes no problem, on the arrival I was told I need written confirmation from my Mrs to say that I am picking it up. Once I purchased the car I experienced an issue with sticking breaks so took it to Marshall where I found out that my Warranty is not valid as my first service was not in the book so I had to chase it up never mind that second service that was completed by Motorpoint Peterborough had signature and stamp missing. When I finally managed to leave my car at Marshall's only took them 2 weeks to diagnosed that the breaks were sticking and left hot spots on the discs. So I went back to Motorpoint they have done their inspection and said that everything is in spec and will pass the MOT so they will not do anything. I have done numerous phone calls to the Customer Care but all they do is ignore you saying there is nothing we can do. So yes here I paid £11000 for new car and all I have is noisy vehicle that needs pads and discs changing.

purchased a car today from Motorpoint peterborough, until now i had never dealt with a car supermarket before however I am pleased to say it was a great experience. Rachel looked after us on the day and she was excellent, extremely efficient and we were in and out in less than an hour. The car itself had a few marks on it unfortunately however considering we paid £3000 less for it than the cheapest main dealer car that can be forgiven! Big thank you to Rachel for today and Joshua based in the Derby head office for the great service all the remains to be seen is if my settlement on the previous car gets settled off as efficiently and my £99 refund comes back in good time. The only reason for leaving the review is don't let the bad ones put you off! if you do your homework on any car prior to purchase these guys are great!

Visited Motorpoint in Peterborough my wife was looking at various cars she was in the market to buy her first car and like the Ford Focus Automatic on show there. I drive an Evoque that had just passed its first MOT and queried how much would they give me for part exchange against a 18 plate Discovery. I never pushed it as they only buy and sell cars under 18 months old. My wife received a phone call from Motorpoint head office she wanted to know how long in advance she could reserve the Ford Focus at the Peterborough site, 10 days was the reply I then asked about part exchanging my car against the Discovery, Motorpoint would only give me a figure if I committed myself to buying the Discovery first. What sane person would agree to dealing blind, not knowing if they could afford the commitment. The word spiv and Arthur Daily comes to mind. Obviously a successful company - but here was a chance to sell 2 cars at once and they missed the opportunity.
