We purchased a family car from Motorzone for £3,699 and have had nothing but problems. We feel completely ripped off. When we went to pick the car up there the a/c wasn't working, they took it back and topped up the a/c unit. We had a 6 month service so that the warranty was valid and garage told us we needed to change the cam belt - fair enough it was ten years old and these things need doing at this age. 8 months after buying the car with a 2 year warranty we had a major issue. The ABS pump failed and needed replacing. We got a quote from our garage and it was in the region of £1,400 for a new part and labour to fit it. Despite having fully serviced the car within 6 months so the warranty was valid, this repair was not covered in the warranty. I called Motorzone to ask whether they could assist in anyway, the guy was incredibly unhelpful and laughed at me when I said that we had only just bought the car from them. His exact words were "8 months is a VERY long time to have had a secondhand car" and that there was nothing that he could do. He was very rude and dismissive. So we had no choice but to spend a lot of money on a big job. I didn't write the review at the time, because you know what, shit happens. Maybe I caught him on a bad day, maybe we have just been unlucky and they didn't know there was an issue with the car. A year on more problems. When we bought the car there was a smell of oil/petrol. I remember being told the car had just had an MOT/service and it was usual for there to be a bit of a smell. The smell came and went, but never completely disappeared. It seemed to be more noticeable with the heating on, but it was only a mild smell so we put it to the back of our minds. It increasingly got worse over time and then we had issues with the oil light. Sometimes coming on, we topped up the oil and all was well, several months later the same again. This time my husband did a full oil change, again no problem for weeks, then the light comes on and off and we realised the smell was so much worse. To cut a long story short and another trip to the garage - the oil cooler was leaking on to the exhaust, it explained the oil light coming on and off and the smell that we had been experiencing since the day we bought the car. Again, these things can happen, put it down to bad luck, give Motorzone the benefit of the doubt that they didn't know the oil was dripping on to the exhaust and causing the terrible smell. Final straw has come when we realise the a/c is not working again, go to the garage to top it up and they tell us the a/c unit is totally full of holes, absolutely no point in topping up as it won't last - the unit needs fully replacing. This is when we finally admit to ourselves that we have been totally ripped off - and Motorzone knew about the issues when they sold us the car. Quite possibly all the issues, if not at least some of them - but they topped up the a/c when we took the car on the first day and we complained that it wasn't cooling, there is no excuse they would have seen the problem with the a/c unit being full of holes, they wouldn't have all appeared in one year. So our family car has cost us an absolute fortune, we feel totally ripped off and as soon as we had left with out car the niceties ended. They were rude and unhelpful and washed their hands with us. The 2 year warranty was useless.

Have received nothing but help from this dealership and Jason has been so supportive in dealing with some small issues and these are being resolved without any problems whatsoever.
Really pleased with my experience with Motorzone. It was such an easy and relaxed experience. We were there 2 hours looking at the car, trying our car seat for our son and making sure my therapy couch fit in the boot. We went for a long test-drive on our own. Ben was there to discuss things but in no way pressured me to make a decision. After 9 years with my Corolla it felt like a big step but Ben made it so much easier. Picking the car up a few days later was simple and it had a new MOT/Service despite having 8 months to run, along with new tyres all around. Great experience. It's nice to have the warranty and AA membership though I'm hoping it'll be as good as my old Toyota and I won't need them.
Very friendly and relaxed service. No pressure and no wide boys. We looked at the car Saturday and collected Sunday. Jason arranged finance for us and my wife is really pleased with the car which was presented clean and warmed up ready for us to go when we collected it. They would be my first port of call next time we need a car
After searching for a car for my son for several weeks, I saw what I thought was a good deal at motorzone bristol. I rang them on a Friday to check the car was still available. Ben (the salesman) informed me the car had just arrived with them, and was needing a new mot and a couple of tyres, otherwise the car was clean & tidy. Ben then got these things sorted before we arrived early on Saturday morning. The car was better then I expected, we went on a test drive (on our own), and quickly completed the transaction when we returned. We drove the car home 1 hour later (100 miles). Two days later the battery on the car failed. I contacted ben and he quickly said take it to your local garage and motorzone will pay for them to fit a new battery. All in all very pleased with motorzone, and in particular BEN.
Bought a car in September and no problems since. Fine with us test driving there and then, followed by a relaxed sale by Ben, with no pressurised sales patter. Personally we liked the no haggle on price policy. Car was fully valeted, MOT and serviced, even though wasn't due for 6 months. Happy to recommend Motorzone Bristol.
I had a very relaxed time at Motorzone, they really let me take my time with no pressure. When I found the car I wanted they helped me through the sale, explaining everything and making sure I was happy. They are probably the best dealership I've bought from.

Ben from MotorZone Bristol in response to Fran
Hi Fran, we appreciate your review and we thank you for your kind comments. I am glad you had a good experience with us and we may look forward to seeing you in the future if your ever in the market for a new car again. Many thanks. Ben, Motor Zone Sales Manager.
Motorzone in Bristol were nice and relaxed with me when I was at their dealership a few months ago. Let me look around the car on my own, no pressure sale tactics or anything, they even let me test drive it the same day. The sales transaction itself was really quick and he taxed the car for me there and then. They definitely deserve a 5 star rating and my recommendation.
