I don't normally give reviews but on this occasion feel it is totally necessary. On a positive note all vans look fab when advertised, but and yes there is a BIG 'BUT'.... I chose 1 of 2 ex British Gas vans still with all the original kit in the back. I chose the one with around 28k miles. A budget was agreed and certain requests were made and were accepted even if not 100% happy, but obviously I was the customer. A time scale of 2 weeks was agreed to carry out the work. I left very satisfied and looking forward to my purchase being completed after seeing some awesome vans on his Facebook page. Over the 2 weeks communication broke down. I requested images of the van which I slowly began to get. One decision I couldn't make was the choice of wheels, a selection of 4 I narrowed down to 2 and asked to see them offered up to the van. This never happened. I asked to see the inside of the van as i had asked that the inside of the van was carpeted along with rear seats fitted (within accepted budget) I was sent photos of what 'he' (mark was aiming for' which I thought looked awesome. After this communication became vague until I got a photo of a completed van, which did look smart but with the wheels he chose not what I chose. The carpeting was only to certain panels not the whole van like requested or like the images he said a week earlier 'the look he was going for'. The roof vent and aerials had not been removed either. I brought this up and I was told he had run out of budget??? I agreed to pay £500 to have the rear carpeting finished and the vent etc removed. 2 days later I went to collect the van. For the £500, only the roof ply had been carpeted along with the rear quarter panels. The roof vent had been removed and bolted on with a rusty piece of metal and was given an excuse " this is why we don't remove them". (This was agreed to be done at time of purchase). I felt like I was being awkward and backed down a little. Next was there was no V5 log book to tax it. I was told it would take a week but he would sort it on my behalf. I got in the van to leave and noticed my van had 56k on the clock?? I was told the van I had chosen had a leak and had to be returned. This had not been brought to my attention at the time as this would have made me reconsider the purchase. Any way I left and seemed 90% happy. 4 days later I get a knocking noise. Not being mechanically minded I get in touch and he tells me to bring it back. That was not a nice 30min drive up a motorway. On arrival I was made to feel stupid and was asked if I'd tightened up the wheel nuts like he told me (4 days and I'd only done less than 100miles). I also asked him to look at the drivers door as it had dropped and wasnt latching properly. Anyway I left it with him for 2 days. On collection I was told there was nothing wrong and he just tightened up a few things and adjusted the suspension and the door couldn't get any better (my eyes it hadn't even been touched). I left as all seemed good. I had a good few weeks (less than a 1000miles) with the van but then the next issue became apparent along with still no V5 to tax it. 10 weeks later still nothing and even after numerous calls and Mark saying he'll sort I took it upon myself to call British Gas and the DVLA to sort...this took me no more than 20min!! The van then started losing coolant, i topped up but lost it straight away. Called the breakdown service and they advised not to drive and recover to a local garage to diagnose. Yes the water pump was screwed and the timing belt needed replacing at a cost of £370. I called Mark and asked what he'd be willing to do. The response was he would supply labour but I'd have to supply parts and get the vehicle back to him at my cost which was £198+vat. This was not acceptable to me as I needed the van on the road asap as using for work. I thought even if he paid me a small token to cover the labour that my garage would charge but the response was a hell no. I therefore had to have the repairs done at my cost (not happy). I decided to bring up with the finance company and see if they could get him to see sense and a bit of customer care and compassion. I even forwarded on a picture of the faulty water pump and chain if communication (mainly from me with the odd one from him) but he arrogantly refused point blank to help. I have now out layed nearly an extra £1000 to correct things that in my eyes were not my fault. So we get to this week, well I think we've hit a final low..... the carpeted ply roof has collapsed as the 'rusty piece of metal' hasn't been sealed correctly around the bolts and plate and pissing water in. I have now had to remove the ply and find someone to fix it for me again at my cost. Overall I am totally fed up and wish I had refused the vehicle at time of collection but I was excited for my purchase of what looked a beautiful van. How wrong I was. I feel completely let down by Mark and his company. In my eyes you buy a vehicle and a service. Well I got vehicle and nothing else. I have resigned my self to not getting anything back through Mark and MW Car sale but I feel for the other customers that may have or may experience the poor customer care & communication, lack of compassion, poor workmanship and the arrogance in such a person representing their company. Obviously he is doing something right or people are afraid to post their review. People need to be made aware of who they are dealing with before and then let them make their own mind up. Finally I really hope that potential buyers see this review before they consider buying from Mark @ MW Car Sales and this enables them to tackle any doubts or issues before handing over a substantial amount of money. Good luck

We as a company look at every complaint and take everything into consideration , you had a fault with your van to were you brought it back and we fixed it without a issue. we did lots to the build of your van and it looked perfect that's why you took it with you. you had a problem weeks later to were we agreed to fix it just bring it back and you would not do this and said you needed the van so there is not a lot we can do at this point. The review you have left is very long but does not actually cover the real facts.

Bought a fantastic bmw from mw car sales Derbyshire... MR Walsh was one of the very best and professional car dealers arround, I would recommend his cars sales to anyone
Bought a quad from this guy, got it home and it didn't quite feel right, I took it to a main dealer to check over and they came back with a list of faults, most of which were dangerous, no rear lads at all, tyre wear consistent with a loose wheel, wiring was shorting out on the frame, overfilled with oil to disguise a cracked and poorly welded crankcase, Mark was very rude back saying no one in their right mind would take a £7000 quad to a main dealer for check over, all I can say is my life was in the balance. Id avoid this garage at all costs.

Bought a car of him and had numerous faults he’d try to cover up and then sent abusive massages, do not ever buy a car from this man... look at all the previous reviews clearly a common issue

Recently bought a car from mw car sales peugeot 207, great car really pleased with it had a few mechanical issues initially but they fixed it quickly and efficiently under warranty with no hassle or grief and supplied me with a courtesy car at no extra cost while it was been, sorted, my dealings with mw car sales have been nothing but positive and fair, would definitely recommend,
Got a car on finance from MW Car Sales, arranged to pay my finance company for delivery, contacted me car sales about delivery, had to wait over a week for it, the car arrived with no Amgen mats, no sat navy module no paperwork or spare key, contacted the dealer who I thought was a normal guy, he held back the stuff in question as he has never done a delivery before, after car arriving being driven down left with no diesel in, I contacted him and he said he would post it, still nothing arrived, drove the car twice and engine management light has come on, got it diagnosed and major faults wrong with the car, dealer was contacted by the finance company and I've had a barrage of abusive texts from them, it's in the hands of trading standards now, I would avoid at all cost, if you do decide to purchase a vehicle from them pay for an independent check to save you any hassle down the line, malcolm carter

Hi can you please email me its about your review we have had same issues and going to trading standards too due to this man being a absolute con man
Could not be happier with our experience at MW Car Sales. It a shocking to find a truly honest sales man who is very knowledgeable and a great family man. We arranged the viewing whilst on holiday and Mark could not be more informative and described the car perfectly. This ment that our three hour round trip was very successful, be viewed, we test drive we brought. Going through the paper work and signing documents took longer than viewing the vehicle as it was exactly the same as both the online description and the extra detail Mark had given. After several bad personal experiences with car dealers it was a pleasure to buy from here. We are very happy customers who will defiantly be back :) Thank you Mark!
