Just wanted to say a big thank you to Mark and his team ( not forgetting the lady on the after sales desk, sorry don’t know your name) They were really helpful when I needed to bring my car in with a sensor issue. They got it sorted for me and instilled me with confidence in using their workshop service Would definitely use them in the future whether to change or buy a car or for future repairs 😄. Currently in the process of rejecting vehicle and have raised complaint with Mazda Uk. Vehicle collected in dark after "prep" vehicle has extensive corrosion on wheels , below standard and not of merchantable quality. Team happy to share details of private information and shout down the phone , also happy to confirm they sell vehicles with corroded alloys and try to convince you that kerbed alloys are the same as manufacturing defect corrosion bubbling . I would steer clear of this dealership. Disappointing service , communication and once they have your money happy to wash hands . For an issue that could easily have been rectified , the dealership were given ample opportunity to fix the issue but declined to do so.

Jason in response to Awful service Newport Mazda
Hi Paul I have experienced the exact same. Was it a Black Mazda 3 by any chance ? Gavin Jones said the manufacturer makes the calipers go like that on purpose. I have given Newport Mazda every opportunity to fix the scratches and kerbing and all repairs have had to be redone some twice and some 3 times so far. How did you get on? Mazda UK have said it's the dealership and not them that has to rectify it. I'm going to try the ombudsman now.
Bought a car through Mazda Newport and Dan helped me throughout the process. Him and his team were very clear and honest with everything would definitely recommend
If I could give an even worse review I would. I bought a approved second hand car from these guys. In my first week of owning it I’ve had problems. Problems with the gearbox and had the car looked over and they tell me the brake discs have gone and even worse the car car brake pads are 95% worn. I spoke to them and they tell me the car was Mot 1 week before I picked it up. How can the car pass an mot in such dangerous condition. They have offered to do the brake pads as a good will gesture but want me to drive from Kent to wales to have them done. I told them no as it’s to far. I got a quote from a local garage for the cost of £180 the garage have said no!!! Apparently they don’t want another technician doing there shoddy work!!!! Stay away the cars are taken in as part exchange and put on the four court without even checking to see if the are dangerous or not. I’ve now got the ombudsman involved. Their answer to me was you bought a second hand car!!! Keep away. They think that’s the end of it but I assure you it’s not. I’ve been done out of £16000 . Also take a look at their other reviews one is almost the same as this one….

I had to contact twice during the lockdown. Staff very helpful . I would not hesitate to recommend. Very attractive showroom with plenty of choice. I also have an MX5 20 years old for which I needed a spare key and to replace a screw. Both came very quickly despite having to be ordered. Everyone very pleasant.
I visited Newport Mazda with my daughter and arranged for a test drive of a second hand Mazda2 they had. The salesman was not at all pushy and my daughter decided to purchase the car. We were very happy with the overall deal and the car looked spotless when she collected it. She adores her new Mazda which as a Mazda owner myself I am sure will serve her well. Thank you.

Like most of us I shopped around for the best price when I sought a new Mazda. I was aware of finance/leasing deals but did not want them. Newport Mazda matched the best price I'd found for a cash purchase, and so I went to them as they were nearer than my other option. From the start, and all through my contact with them, I checked that I would definitely be the first owner of the car on the registration document. I did not want a pre-registered car and stressed this several times. I was assured I would be registered as the first owner of the car - one time this was in front of a witness. I also made clear I did not want finance or a "leasing arrangement". I paid a deposit and ordered a new Mazda. I was in contact regularly while I waited for delivery of the new car. At no time was pre-registration mentioned, but I was offered 0% finance which I refused. Eventually they talked me into applying, saying I could pay it all off immediately and it would be easier for them to provide the car at the price they agreed, but my application for finance was refused anyway. At last the day came for me to collect my new car. All was well until I asked for the registration document, which they said had been sent off to DVLA. I became suspicious - last time I bought new, the document was provided with the car! Eventually the document arrived - and, guess what - I was listed as the second owner! The car had been pre-registered. I could have purchased a pre-registered car cheaper from another dealer at the time I ordered from Newport Mazda. Newport Mazda did offer to take the car back and give a refund, but by this time I had sold my old car and the original pre-reg deal was no longer available. Newport Mazda refused to acknowledge they had done anything wrong, but did agree to refund the difference in price between my car and the original pre-reg deal i could have got. The refund did take a few weeks to arrive, but it was paid. All in all I feel I was deliberately misled, and informed Trading Standards, although Newport Mazda deny any misleading practice.

Dave Walters in response to Avoid them
GIVE THIS DEALER A VERY WIDE BERTH !!! Arranged with the manager , a bloke called Andrew to see a Mazda 3 , test drive and 99% were going to purchase it. Made appointment for 1.p.m. , attended with my wife who really liked to vehicle and wanted it. We attended at the dealer only to be told that Andrew was off sick and that the vehicle WAS SOLD THIS MORNING !!! CUSTOMER SERVE IS A BIG ZERO. The salesmen who there at the time were just not interested and made no attempt to show us any other vehicles. NEVER AGAIN !!!
Had some issues after purchasing my car but Newport Mazda resolved all the issues at there cost and made sure I was well looked after. Recommend them to anybody who wants to purchase a car and after care service is A1.
