I've just bought a Land Rover Freelander from NJW Car Sales and things couldn't have gone smoother. The vehicle was exactly as described in the advertisement, all paperwork present and correct and delivered a day ahead of the agreed timescale. Full manufacturers service record promised and evidenced in the paperwork. The price was extremely competitive too! I dealt with Nigel and he couldn't have been more polite or helpful from start to finish, communication was great with phone calls returned at the times agreed. I would certainly buy here again and recommend the company to others

Avoid NJW Car Sales at all costs !!! He puts vehicles on his forecourt still with REMAINING FINANCE ON THEM (totally illegal) Takes deposits then won't refund after purchaser does a finance check. Says he put new discs and pads on vehicle as a GOOD WILL gesture when it was never asked for then tries to justify withholding a deposit to pay for it. Elgin TRADING STANDARDS will be informed along with The Northern Scot newspaper and Rogue Traders DO NOT BUY A VEHICLE FROM HERE !!!!!

Feb 2017, I visited NJW Car Sales to look at a £5,500 car that was advertised on Gumtree. I dealt with Nigel who I assume is the owner of the small, used car lot. All I can say, is that this guy has a serious attitude problem. He spoke to me in a condescending and aggressive manner (as reported by others) when I raised some questions about the car, for example missing service stamps, even though it was advertised as having FSH. In general a thoroughly unpleasant character, and even though I quite liked the car I walked away from it due to the shoddy treatment I received from Nigel. Do yourself a favour and avoid this place.

I bought a £5000 car in 2012 and at the time I was told it had a full service history, however after V5 was signed only part of service was included. I then took the car for a check up at main dealer only to be told it was not fit for the road and would cost £1700 to fix problems. NJW Car Sales were not interested in helping, even trading standards in Inverness would not help. The reason being was I was on my own when I bought the car and could not prove what was said between me and NJW Car Sales. They also don't take any kind of credit card and this I suspect is because you can claim your credit card supplier if anything goes wrong. They only take cash or bank transfer. I do not recommend NJW Car Sales.
