I purchased a used car from NK Motors, all seemed fine at the time there was a few issues which we was told would be sorted before the car had been picked up.
I picked the car up about a week later with an oil leak still present, faulty passenger door strut that wasn’t changed and soon found out also a faulty clutch.
The car was taken back in after mentioning on the phone the faulty clutch. (Struggled to get into gear when it first started, clutch pedal would not rise back up all the time and a gear crunch when changing 1st to 2nd.)they had sorted the oil leak but still not changed the door strut and never mentioned or even looked at the clutch I believe. It went back in 3 more times after this for the same clutch issue, and whilst they had the car for nearly a week, still stated they could not find an issue. Multiple phone calls were made whilst they had the car and the same somebody will phone you back was said. After finally getting through to somebody I was told by a manager at the time that the clutch issues where characteristics of the car due to its age and mileage, I’m no mechanic but I knew there was an issue. The car wasn’t driven regularly after that due to a company van however 4,000 miles later the whole clutch now needs replacing after breaking down. Very quick to take the money but it seems unless you buy brand new car from here with a lot more money, after sales wise is awful. After having the whole clutch replaced including slave cylinder the mechanic I use saw the problem. Bolts were cross threaded from the slave cylinder and therefore wasn’t sitting flush. This faulty installation means he believes this was the cause of the issues prior, something NK Motors would have discovered had they actually inspected the car. I have contacted NK Motors since and told them everything to give them the best opportunity to put things right after the awful service, nothing was offered bar apologies which quite frankly isn’t good enough

Booked car in for service;the cars a year old with only 4000 miles on told that I would have to pay £6 to have the car Covid clean b4they can service it,all they are doing is ripping people off as I no some one who work’s in the service department at n k and they told me that they are putting this charge on to help them make their target

We purchased a car from NK Cars and firstly the car was still dirty in site when we went to pick it . A week later the puncture kit was missing which we were promised a new one would be delivered within a week 5 months later we are still waiting despite repeated phone calls and email . Shocking Service and it looks like we will have to claim the purchase of a new kit at £300 through the Credit Card route very disappointing

Avoid. Very very rude salesman plus manger unhelpful. Paid deposit on car, rang to see when it would be ready, they then told me they sold it. avoid.

Buying used cars is horrible, and though dealerships improve the experience (at a cost), it's still often less than great.
Buying my son a Ford Fiesta with a budget under £8k, it is necessary to deal will all types from Private sellers who can barely speak English to Dealerships who look at us with disdain (and everything in between).
Though we did not buy a car from NK Motors Chilwell in the end, I can whole heartedly recommend them, providing a service that was leagues above the plethora of suppliers we dealt with over the last month.
Though the car was not quite what we wanted, Sandy looked after my son so very well, made an offer that was almost impossible to refuse and then even allowed us to put down a deposit giving us 24 hours to deliberate. Sandy was completely honest about their car over the phone, gave my son all the time and information possible and just generally a fantastic chap.
In the end, a couple of small factors with the car would influence our decision to not proceed and Sandy refunded immediately without any pressure to try and 'close the deal'.
The only caveat to all this is that, as always it's down to people, so I can only really vouch for Sandy, as my previous phone call to NK and a different representative had not proved so constructive and in fact it was only the fact that I really thought the car might be the one, that I called NK Motors again and that time spoke to Sandy.
At the time of writing , we still haven't found the right car, but I would not hesitate to put a deposit on one should Sandy phone back with an opportunity that he recommended.

I am very happy with the service and the after care that I received from NK Motors Chilwell. I bought a Hyundai 140 in august. The car was very nice and clean and in good condition and I have only had a couple of issues which the dealers have resolved very quickly and efficiently. the car is very good value for money and i would happily recommend this dealership.
