Purchased Peugeot 208 and made up with the car and the service received would defo recommend
Bought a second hand car and couldn't be happier. The deposit paid, I was regularly kept informed about the progress of the work to get the car ready - new belts etc. Staff all knowledgeable and courteous, nothing too much trouble. Great car dealer, Recommended.
On the 3/12/25 I left a deposit for an Audi Q3, I test drove this vehicle on 5/12/25. After test driving the vehicle it was obvious that the vehicle was faulty and not fit for purpose. During inspection and test driving, the automatic gearbox was slipping. Both my parents have previously dealt in cars and have extensive experience and mechanical knowledge. My mother also test drove the car. At the time I raised the issue of the slipping gearbox, the salesman who accompanied us on the test drive also agreed that there was a noticeable delay in transmission. Reece agreed that this would looked into properly however I informed the garage in person on Monday 8th Decemeber that I did not wish to proceed with the vehicle. At that point, no work had been carried out on the vehicle. Reece told me that I had to test drive the vehicle again once the gearbox had been looked at or I would not receive my deposit back. I was later advised that the issue had been “fixed”; however, Reece confirmed that the vehicle had only received an oil change and had been connected to a diagnostic computer however he was unable to provide a diagnostic report. A gearbox issue cannot be properly diagnosed or repaired without dismantling the gearbox. What was carried out appears to have been a process of elimination in the hope that the fault would be temporarily resolved or masked. I also consulted multiple independent mechanics, all of whom advised against purchasing the vehicle due to the slipping gearbox and the likelihood that an oil change would only mask an issue that was already there. I again informed North West Autos that I would not be purchasing the vehicle. Reece then proceeded to tell me that by law north west autos were able to charge any costs of making the vehicle right and fit for purpose to myself, regardless of the fact I had already informed them I did not wish to purchase the vehicle prior to any work being carried out. This raised concerns for me about whether these issues would have been identified for future buyers had I not informed north west autos of the issues with the gearbox, the cosmetic damage on the door sill, (which was not shown on pictures or during inspection) and the rear tyres which were under the legal limit the car would have been sold as it was (in my opinion not fit for purpose). I have called north west autos today to chase an update on the refund of my deposit (baring in mind I informed them on the 8th December that I would not be purchasing the car which has given them 10 working days) I was advised this was with Paige in the after sales team and asked to be patient whilst they investigate. I asked to speak to Paige which Reece informed Paige would only communicate via email, regardless of the fact that all of their calls are recorded. Upon telling Reece that I would be leaving a review and terminating the call he left the below voicemail, what I believe to be of a threatening nature: “I will advise you you’re not the first and certainly won’t be the last to say you’re going to do that and you will not be the first we will counter Sue for defamation” In my opinion, this statement suggest that many people have previously had issues with North West Autos. If you choose to purchase a car from North West Autos I highly recommend you purchase an AA comprehensive pre-purchase vehicle inspection and diagnostics. I would also encourage prospective customers to review North West Autos’ responses to one-star reviews, as these interactions reflect how customer issues are handled once a sale has been completed. In my opinion, this approach lacks professionalism.

We are sorry that you have had issues with your purchase and will look after you as best as we can and as per the CRA 2015 and as per guidelines set by current legislation. After checking our records you purchased a seven Year old Ford which had covered a mileage of 90000 at the point of inception, during its PDI and preparation stage we carried out a full MOT, Full Engine Service, we replaced the Timing Belt and Water Pump and their was slight vibration on the clutch pedal we also replaced the Clutch and Flywheel for you, all in all it had a Major Service and as to be expected for a high mileage car it required maintenance work which we carried out. During your repair in June, you were provided with a courtesy car and all works carried out were covered by your 28 days warranty that was provided. The next time your vehicle came in with an issue it was outsourced to a specialist and regrettably it was there for a bit longer but he completed works and the vehicle was returned to you, at this point you were out of your warranty with us however within your statutory rights and as the issue wasn’t present at the point of purchase we were well with our rights to charge you the specialist’s fee but we chose not to. Unfortunately, we don’t have a main dealership set up with over staffed departments, your query was addressed on the same day as per your conversation with Reece, it just happened that the email we sent you must have got in to you junk box, a exact date and time was provided to you for all the communication. On the 9Th October 2025 you dropped the vehicle of one evening when we were closed and without any notice or booking, when contacted on the 10Th requesting for you to drop the keys off as it was inappropriately parked you refused and demanded a refund, you were once again advised to contact your finance company as you had the vehicle for 5 Months and had covered in the region of 5000 miles, you were advised to work with and not against staff as it would make for an easier and smoother transaction. We hope that you have followed our instructions and once again request for you to collect you vehicle as we have no space on site and do not wish to park it on the road, we are in the town centre of Blackburn and would not to be wanting to deal with a damage issue further down the line. Car has now broken down on the 5th October. I have reported this on the 6th October with Will and I am yet to receive a phone call back. At each point I have had to chase and ring and contact you in the hope you will return communication and developments. Your customer service at the beginning was exemplary but each time I have had to call you regarding a dangerous car that you have sold me. You have also been told about the brake sensor fault light coming on three times and this has not been looked at. Always saving the best comment until last when I spoke about the car having failed twice by this point the "boss" (who seems to hide behind his team unless it's good news) said to me.... "This is what happens when you buy secondhand" ...... I bought it from you, the "Team" who on the face of things are excellent due to your Google reviews (do some digging on these) So, as I started - I am exercising my right to a refund due to the persistent faults and failure to repair. I expect a phone call, you have my details as I've given them on countless occasions for call backs that the majority of the time I don't receive This saga continues, North west autos are now lying to the finance company about the location of the keys for Blue Finance to carry out an independent inspection. I dropped off the car on the 7th October and the keys were dropped off on the 8th October. Avoid this business at all costs they are dangerous

Still at the ‘awaiting delivery’ stage but so far the staff have been really helpful and friendly. We aren’t buying a mega-expensive car, just a family people carrier but have been treated really well. Dean - has made the purchase really straightforward - good value and we look forward to getting our car in a few days. We travelled over from Yorkshire for this deal.
