By way of introduction – Avoid or be incredibly careful when buying cars from NWA – for those who want second-hand car. Let us get to our experience details: With wife we went to NWA to have a look on a Vw Tuareg with 59 plates. The car exterior condition looked good, normal as for 13y old car, so we took it for a test drive with one of the workers. During test drive we spot issue with coolant temperature gauge that it is not holding the operational temperature of around 90 deg C. We been told that this is normal and there is nothing to be worried about and if something is not right, we going to have warranty to cover any repairs. We spot also a little pipe hanging off between chassis and tailgate when open, so we asked about it and we been told that this is some bleeding pipe that prevents water to accumulate in tailgate interior.... we also asked about scope of servicing as it was claimed that every vehicle, they sold comes with service done. We asked about engine oil and filter as this is 3 litre V6 engine. We been told it was done. Also, good to mention they said that the car is only about week in their garage so they „do not know much about car condition,” this may be just tricky storytelling to have excuse if somethings not right. After all that bits and dots explained we decided that we going to take it, mainly because of warranty thus peace of mind. Week after we collected the car and hit the road back home. During this journey we found another issue with lack of power and weird noise when accelerating/deaccelerating. With those novel issues, once we got back home, I have started to dig online forums to check what’s the typical reasons of that issues with noises and temperature variations as well. The noise was caused by inlet manifold swirl flap rod hanging off and not actuating the flaps in the intake manifold and the temperature symptoms looked like EGR thermostat fault. I have also had myself to go under the car and spot the oil droplets on the bottom of the engine/gearbox, then I have had a closer look at the engine from the top and there was a puddle of oil between engine head (its a V6), this also cause oil smell when engine warms up. Another problem was the tailgate lock actuator stopped working (what a coincidence). We called NWA to book a repair and service on warranty. We delivered the car with all issues and potential causes pointed out (with what I found it could be from online forum and what I saw) and been told that it could take about week to get sorted. We accept that repair and timing hoping that they do it as they said with their smiling faces. The tailgate lock was quoted over £70 to get sorted (did not accepted). After week we began to call them, and we been washed off with "someone will call you back soon". After 3 weeks we been given car back, with only swirl flap done. It is obvious it was waste of time and looked like tricky way of getting the warranty period to expire. Wife already liked the car, so we decide to keep it. Anyways I have told NWA that I am not seeing me leaving a car for who knows how long again without getting it sorted so I would like to get just parts on their expense, and we never see each other. The NWA accepted offer without hesitation, they made their profit and customer satisfaction approach is just a fake pose. Once you enter the office you will see people on photos with happy faces and their cars from NWA (?) looks like a good marketing practice to convince new jerks. Last bit. Once I have got myself to do rest of stuff that needed to be done it turns out that oil has not been changed for new one, the cost of new lock actuator was £25 and took 10 minutes to change it. The broken pipe was a washer fluid supply to rear window and location of its failure caused leak to the inside of the car and dump in the booth. Also, floor of the car from outside been covered carelessly with some underbody seal (ridiculous), also washer fluid wasn’t spraying after few days, so I had to change the electric motor. Avoid this place or be incredibly careful and do not let your emotion led you to buy anything of them even if they assure you that you are well cared for. From paper provided with the car it looks like the car has new front brake discs and pads (looks new on the car), wheel bolts(?), the front suspension upper arms (visible in the wheel arch), air filter (looks new), oil filter maybe changed but no engine oil in the papers and when I changed it myself it was like tarmac and nasty, fuel filter (not sure if changed). The whole thing form purchase to last visit there was between 08.03.2022 till 21.04.2022. Fantastic staff, couldn't be more helpful. Plenty of time to look at the car & test drive. Was delighted cars offered with 12 months MOT, 3 months warranty and new water pump & timing belt. Absolutely no pressure and all questions answered. Much more positive experience than other garages visited. Had a couple of issues as expected with an older high mileage Mitsubishi but these were dealt with very quickly under the 3 month warranty. Lovely guys, fantastic service and wouldn't hesitate to buy another car from North West Autos.

Absolutely disgusted in how I’m being treated. Bought a car. Was advised it had sat nav and if they couldn’t rectify the problem (it wasn’t working) they would get it sorted at main dealer or I could return the car no quibbles for a refund. Later transpires that yes I can return the car but will lose over £1000+ after they’ve added on admin fees and mileage fees ect making it impossible to actually return the car as they make out will be so simple at the point of sale! Great customer service at sale but shocking after sales!! Any issues after you purchase the car and expect a fight on your hands!! Leaving messages and emails constantly and nobody gets back to you. Constant excuses of under staffing issues !! This has been going on since 24th Jan (it’s 13th Feb today and still no one is getting back to me!!) advised Ali could sort the technical issue with the Sat nav however unable to actually get an app to book this in !?!?!? Just being ignored. SHOCKING AFTERSALES

Yes, You recently purchased a Renault Capture from us in December, the stereo system had a Sat Nav Icon, however, when pushed, it did not work, as you were desperate for a vehicle we concluded that you could take it and we would carry out a full investigation, the vehicle was sold to you on the basis that it had a fully functioning Navigation system. The car was booked in to the Renault Dealership for a diagnostic, they verified that it did not have Sat Nav, realizing that we had made an error, the offer to buy the vehicle back, at that point, with no deductions was made to you (call recording available), or to exchange it for a different vehicle, you refused the refund and wanted to wait until a more suitable car was available for a swop. We don’t want a battle with any of our customers, our staff want as much of an easy transaction as our customers do. You then decided that you didn’t want the car, which is fine, however, as per the Consumer Rights Act 2015, which is Law, we are entitled to deduct for fair usage, your dramatized figure of £1000+ is not accurate, as you know, we have been fair and wish to settle the matter as soon as possible and would like to invite you to the garage to discuss the matter. Unfortunately, yes, we are having staffing issues due to sickness and absences, however, this has not affected your case in the slightest, we understand that you do not want to loose any money, however, all we ask of you is to be fair, considerate towards our staff and work with us whilst we try and resolve your matter. Very short staffed when we went to collect our car so had a long wait but sorted in the end the few staff that was working never stopped had a few problems with car but dealt with very quickly and efficiently

Travelled quite far to visit north west autos, due to the brilliant reviews. I was not disappointed. Brilliant service from start to finish, Ahmed was very attentive, knowledgeable about motors and helped me find a vehicle most suited to my preference. Deposit was placed on my gorgeous Renault megane which I picked up a week later, after full service, Mot, cambelt kit and water pump change. No stress whatsoever and a smooth handover.
