Well we have to say it took a while for us to actually get our car home and on the drive. This wasn't in any way any fault of the garage, just unexpected issues. But more than HAPPY to say they pulled out all the stops and issues sorted. Fabulous staff, friendly and always going the extra mile. 110% highly recommend you take a visit.
Bought a vehicle from north west autos I would highly recommend them to anyone. My family daughters and there husbands have always had cars from this garage we would definitely recommend these guys and not go anywhere else to buy a used car all the best guys.

Had a great service from North West in Blackburn, nothing was too much hassle, had a few issues after purchase and they got dealt with immediately, Shane they don’t do courtesy cars, but overall Brilliant.

Only ever put positive reviews on here…..until now! AVOID AT ALL COSTS!!! DO NOT BUY A CAR FROM THESE COWBOYS!!! We bought a car in Oct 21. I’m disabled which meant we needed a car of a certain height and automatic so I could drive relatively pain free. We were given a 6mth AA Warranty which at time of purchase were lead to believe included AA Breakdown cover (see photo) The car we purchased was a BMW X1 62 plate. It had been “fully serviced” and had 12 mth MOT. We had initial issues that we reported straight away. The car was driving shakily to be told it’d been sold with the wrong size wheels on it. We were concerned this hadn’t been picked up. We were given one key with the car and were told it charged whilst in the dash. It failed whilst on a day out. went to use the blade..it was blank!!! I called NWA and they said keys are NOT covered under wty or the fact we’d had it less than a wk!! so we’d no choice but £180 for keys. We thought that was it…… until Jan 22. With no warning (sounds, warning lights, running issues) the car broke down in the middle of a main road. My partner is extremely car savvy and Ive worked in Auto Service departments for 8yrs+ and know my way around a car. We called AA to be told we didn’t have recovery with them. We called NWA and they said no we didn’t have recovery and had to sort getting it in ourselves. We had no choice as we were blocking a main road and paid £163 for emergency recovery. When I arrived at the dealership with the car we were told it’d be 2-3 wks before it was even looked at and they didn’t do courtesy cars so as this was our only form of transport we were stuck and I was now housebound. Then hell started. WE HAVE NEVER HAD OUR CAR BACK!! After 6 WEEKS it hadn’t been looked at! We were still without a car and I was missing hospital appts and treatments as I couldn’t get there. I called to chase so many times and was told they were waiting on AA warranty company to assess. March 1st we were finally told it was assessed and they were waiting on parts. It was all covered by the warranty and not to worry. It was a timing chain fail caused by a bold falling in the mechanism. We still had no car so they gave us 2005 Audi A3 (N7KAM) manual car to use with 200k + miles on and rust holes in the door. I couldn’t get in and out of it without help. We had to pay to insure it ourselves, whilst still paying our finance payments on a car we no longer had use of!! It rattled, banged and chugged but we had no other option for transport. After 2 weeks the exhaust fell off it. We then discovered It was only held on with jubilee clips in the first place! After 3 days it was picked up for repair and back 48hrs later. It went into limp mode the next day so couldn’t be driven. At this point we weren’t getting response from the garage and Kams responses were lacking. It was excuse after excuse (see the photos!!) Our finance company were chasing them constantly and were getting no where too. Our car, we eventually found out at the end of April (as Kam refused to tell us sooner) was sent to a garage in Blackpool for repair as couldn’t be done by NWA. 15 weeks in total our car was gone. We paid recovery £163, new keys £180, had bought customised car mats, customised dog equipment and been paying our finance still and lost it all because of NWA. We had to drive to Blackpool to retrieve our personal belongings that we’d left in there thinking it’d only been gone a few weeks. When we got there they were confused as our car was fully repaired and been sat there weeks but they had issues having the bill paid!!! We’d cancelled our finance by this point and were heartbroken. NWA then tried to blame us for it and make our finance company pay?!? we aren’t stupid and have previously reported any little issues as I know what wty companies are like. Plus I’m disabled and FULLY rely on a car to be mobile and go to treatment appts. But we had also sent them a photo of the dash on breakdown and no warning lights were on then either!! The car just stopped. Simple.

Reece Adam from North West Autos Blackburn in response to DO NOT USE!!!
Good morning, Ruth, Thank you for taking the time our to leave such a lengthy review, we have apologized for the situation on many occasions but your case was not as straight forward as you know, your finance company and the AA Warranty were also involved in the matter due to the severity and nature of the breakdown. We are responding to your Review based on factual and truthful events, all of which have been passed on to our Legal Team who are issuing for a defamation case. We sold you a BMW X1 with a full engine service, Mot, PDI and full road test, you test drove the vehicle and were happy to purchase it on finance. After purchase you contacted us regarding a tire issue, this was immediately addressed and rectified, this matter was never brought up again. You also complained about us providing you with one key, unfortunately we can only give you what we get, you were advised that we could get a key cut at a trade price for you. Jan 2022, your vehicle broke down, you returned the vehicle and we provided you with a staff members vehicle, we do not have courtesy cars so offered you this to use, we understood that due to your Disability we had to hep you in every way possible, you took it without any hesitation and used it for months without any complaint. As the vehicle was not booked in and we were fully booked up at the time, it was not immediately diagnosed, however knowing that you had a vehicle to use, we were content knowing that you could get to your appointments on time. Realizing the breakdown required a specialist to investigate, it was then transported to a BMW Specialist, they had to fully strip the engine down and eventually found the issue, full engine strip downs and diagnostic works unfortunately takes time. The vehicle had suffered from a Timing Chain failure, under normal circumstances these are fully covered under the warranty, however, in this instance it was a worn tensioner that had caused the problem, the AA warranty then instructed for an independent inspection to be carried out on the vehicle by Dekra, they are a court appointed body. The engineers report claimed that the engine would have started developing a loud chattering noise over time giving the driver ample time to stop and investigate, on his report he states that the vehicle was driven “under extreme stressful conditions and that the failure could have been avoided”, driver negligence was evident. As a dealer, at this junction, we have a customer who wants her car back (claiming the engine ran smoothly and just stopped), we have a warranty company who are refusing to pay for consequential and avoidable damage, plus we have the finance company wanting the matter resolved. The situation was left a bit bitter, knowing that the driver worked for a local Main Dealership in the Garage Dept and was very knowledgeable about engines and should have stopped and investigated. Amongst us and the finance company, we decided to get the customer out of the finance agreement so she could go and buy another vehicle, the garage bill is currently in negotiations by us and the finance company.
A big thank you to Bash , Jimmy and Cam ,thank you for looking after us and making us feel welcome , you are a very busy company but you make time for every customer who comes in . Thank you from Kelly and wayne xx keep up the fantastic work .
Bought a faulty car, went back 3 times only to be told nothing wrong with car. When I said I wanted to return the car turned around and said ‘it’s not your car speak to the finance company. After 2 month car was returned. Avoid at all cost.
Arranged to buy a car, turned up early to inspect the vehicle, not as described, typical used car salesmen. Go elsewhere and read the reviews
Just bought a car from North West autos, all the previous precautions on the MOT were taken car of before I recieved the car so it passed on everything, this included rear disks and pads, front pads, rear arm bushes and oil and filter change. Bonus seen as though I had to drive a good distance to collect the car they even chucked £30 of petrol for the way home. This been said I would highly recommend.
Very busy dealership, so unfortunately things don't seem to run 100% smooth. That said, Jimmy, Bash and the team will literally bend over backwards to do the right thing for the deal, and to look after you (including feeding my toddler after an unforseen delay in proceedings!!) Vehicle prepped to a high standard (eventually...... very busy is all). Can't comment on aftersales, hopefully won't need to find out!!! Overall, I cant really fault them (along as car doesn't fall apart now I've written this😂)
Brilliant service and I definitely recommend them. Staff were polite and explained the details of the cars thoroughly..
