Purchased a used car from Oakwood Motor Company on Saturday 22nd July 2023 from my first phone call with Natalie and subsequent purchase the service was fantastic I highly recommend this company Natalie was very efficient, friendly and knowledgeable and no usual car sales patter we as a family will definitely use this company in the future.

Going to Oakwood Motor company was the best place for me to get my new car. Saul was so helpful. He was really nice calm and patient. I had all 3 kids (1 infant and 2 toddlers) and you can imagine they were all over the place. He helped me with a quick and smooth part exchange and getting my new car. I will highly recommend going to Oakwood Motor Company if you are looking to get a new vehicle

My car was written off in an accident so I was on the lookout for a new car and came across one on Autotrader at Oakwood motors. I’m from Scotland so I contacted them and told them about my situation and they couldn’t have been more helpful and accommodating. The kept me updated on the progress of the car and let me know as soon as it was ready. I wasn’t able to get down to the dealership for a week due to work but this wasn’t an issue. When I got down to Bury Lewis came to collect me in the car from the train station. The process when we got back was seamless and an all round 10/10 experience. Would definitely recommend.

Absolute disgraceful customer service Messed about so many times finally picked the car up having been let down twice before saying they couldn’t do a part ex deal, then was rang back two days later saying they could do a deal. Was told to pick the car up on the Saturday as it was in for paint touch up and service, then got a phone call at 8.30am on the day I was ment to be picking up the car to be told I can’t go because the light needed fitting and the car wasn’t ready. The week after picked up the car which had scratches on the bonnet and passenger doors. I drove the car 15 min to my mums got out of the car to find the door didn’t lock Rang them back to be told to take it back a few days later and that I would have to lock the door from the inside for the time being. Then as I was driving home on the motorway the engine management light came on, I rang again to be told I should buy their £700 extended guarantee to which I replied I shouldn’t have to purchase this. The warranty kept being mentioned over the phone to which I got to the point of saying I wanted my old car back as it was unacceptable. I still haven’t received my £100 holding fee from back in February I’m currently on my 4th email. I would steer clear of this place I’ve asked 3 times for full names of the 2 people I’ve delt with to give to my case with trading standards and still haven’t been given them

Hello Nicola, We are sorry to hear you feel this way about your experience with us. We have looked in to this internally and feel that we dealt with your issue promptly following our procedures. We understand that the initial preparation time ran over and apologise for the handover delay. When you notified us of the issues with your car we gave you the option of having the car brought back to us to rectify the issue in our workshop. We also gave you the option of returning the vehicle to its original position which you decided was the best option. The £100 holding fee has been processed on our end and has to be processed to the original card that made the deposit for security purposes. This was completed by our accounts department and we are aware you have been in correspondence with our director via email. If you need anything else from us, please email support@oakwoodmotorcompany.com and we will aim to assist as soon as possible.

Lewis at Oakwood motor company was absolutely brilliant, making sure we were completely satisfied with the car by sending us a close up video of the car inside and out before travelling a long distance to see it in person , going the extra mile to answer all and any questions we had. Oakwood motor company were very welcoming while there and the service was top class. Very pleased with our new car, Thank you!

Agreed a sale with PX informed the salesman that had been offered £2000 by we buy any car sight unseen but that they had reduced to £1600 upon sight of the dents and other damage. Told him the car was damaged on both sides. We buy any car estimated this at £400. The car being bought was over 14K. Agreed £1500 PX. Paid the balance by bank transfer. Upon the day of the deal salesman and manager refused PX trying to claim that I had not been honest about the damage. They declined the PX. They then asked for the extra £1500 by bank transfer. So I simply said give me my money back as you are changing the terms of our agreement. After much head shaking and face pulling They said they would offer £1350 PX. Which I accepted, do not be taken for a ride by this lot. This type of sharp practise gets car salesman a bad name. If you are not happy walk away and your consumer rights means their non-refundable deposit clause is not worth the paper it’s written on if they try to change the deal retroactively. If they had been up front and said the PX value needed renegotiation I would have listened to their offer. They were never going to lose the sale which is obvious when they moved from £1500 to £150. It’s pathetic. Would not recommend this outfit.
