I had been looking for a particular car for a long time a 5 series BMW I saw said car at this dealer and straight away it was/is right up my street high mileage but pretty good condition however I bought the car through autotrader for protection as I would with any dealer the car is really fantastic a few marks on it that were not described in the advert but hey ho, the guys at the dealership not the best, men of few words they don't inspire confidence but I'm buying the car not the dealer. The headlights failed to work driving the car away had them replaced the owner not really interested but that was a small issue none the less could have said he'll reimburse me......overall small issues I would recommend the dealer if you know what your looking for specifically and you have outside protection. Not the best not the worse. PS be nice if the dealer cleaned and valeted the cars first, and showed you personally what your buying.

We found a car we liked on auto trader,and called for more information. We were told it had good bodywork, specifically asked about rust and told it had none. It was priced well and so we drove over an hour to view. On arrival the salesmen were rude and uninterested in helping, didn't even leave the office. The car had a damaged windscreen, rust spots on the bonnet, the engine was hot and overheating/smoking when started, it had clearly been taken for a run. We didn't purchase, and the salesman couldn't have cared less when we went in, brushed off the issues we informed him about and continued eating his lunch. Extremely angry at the service we received and strongly recommend no one, especially a family, purchase a car from the company!

They couldn’t be bothered to even show me round the car, tried to be little me. Failed a credit check, no company with give them finance. Took ages to give me my deposit back, after calling every day. They have changed their name. Be careful.

I was interested in a car, I was advised by the salesman to leave a deposit as there were lots of interest in the car I was looking at. I paid with my debit card however it transpired they took more than was agreed and are now refusing to return the deposit or the over payment taken without authorisation. when I continued to ask for my deposit back the sales men became aggressive and rude so I left and contacted the bank and police....... stay clear of this place if you want a car that is roadworthy and a decent level of customer service.

I paid mega money for a car that was supposed to be road worthy and in good condition. Turned out once they have got the selling price in there bank, they are not interested in the vehicle they do not want to pay for any repairs even though you have a warranty. To put the car I purchased into a car you could drive without any thing else going wrong was going to cost twice what I paid. The people running the company are so bad mannered as they just put the phone down on you when all you are trying the car put right.

Called Old Welwyn Motor Company as interested in a VW golf for my son priced at £2950, discussed with the salesman if price was negotiable, he stated he would not discuss over the phone but would be open to offers once I was there in person so agreed to make the trip up view the car. Before leaving I went back on line to get the address only to find the price the car was advertised for had been raised by £500 now was being advertised for £3450. I called the garage to ask why this had been done and was told that because there had some interest in the car they had increased the price.... Can they do this, is this bad practice legal ?? Looking at other reviews it appears this wasn't the first case of this. obviously didn't make the trip as had totally lost trust by this type of dodgy business tactics.

Managed to get good deal on part exchange car from Old Welwyn Motor Company, still satisfied 2 months later ~!

Old welwyn motor company offered 30 days wear and tear and a further 5 months engine and gearbox warranty, 2 days of driving the car went over a speed hump at slow speed and huge bang!. local mechanic checked and found vehicle not road worthy! riddled with problems underneath the car which have been present for sometime and could not have occurred in 2 days of driving! he was shocked it had an MOT! very dangerous - call this trader back and booked in with the Same European man who firstly did not want to know at all, when arrived he drove car and said car not faulty good bye! no mechanic checked vehicle and refused to hear us out. Avoid Old Welwyn Motor Company at all costs. Vehicle is no longer in use. Lost money on a non road worthy vehicle.
