Great showroom with collectors arcade games and 70s and 80s paraphernalia. More than happy to part with my hard earned cash to Paul.

Bought an Audi a6 from here in February. Great customer service. There were a few glitches in the car that appeared after purchase, which will have been unbeknown to the dealership at the time. The car was taken back and fixed at their expense with no questions asked. It did take a few visits to see the car right, but was accepted back each time and the faults all fully repaired which was hugely appreciated. Thank you.

I bought an older VW Transporter from Open Road Cars this week and I couldn't have had a better buying experience. I wasn't rushed into anything and I found Paul very friendly trustworthy and accommodating. There were a couple of problems on the van which needed attention, but these were sorted out properly before I collected the van. Fabulous Experience ! . . . Choosing : After spending a few weeks looking at various VW Caddy vans I chose one that caught my eye because it had already been lined out with carpet and had an extra detail of little LED roof lights fitted. Stressful : It’s always stressful actually choosing a new vehicle. For me this was made more of a head ache by the fact that my 2003 MG ZR had developed a rather serious oil leak and was definitely on it’s last legs and about to cost me more money. My local garage had already had a ‘pep talk’ with me 12 months earlier to tell me it was costing me too much to keep it on the road and time to replace it. The Road Trip : Once I had chosen the Caddy van and spoken with Paul at Open Road Cars and agreed a price for scrapping my MG, it became an adventure and I planed the two hour drive up to Apperley Bridge after the following weekend. The traffic was light on the motorway and I enjoyed the journey. Arriving : When I pulled onto Paul’s forecourt I made sure not to go onto the tarmac as the oil leak would make a mess. I needed a pee as I hadn’t bothered to stop on my way up. Paul opened the Showroom door to point me to the toilet and Right there in Front of me was an Obsolete car !! Stunned I stood still to try to work out what it was. It certainly was in pristine condition and he told me it was a Hillman Estate !! Lara Croft : Was standing holding a gun guarding the Ladies toilet! Astonished : When I emerged from the loo I began to take in my surroundings of the Showroom I was standing in. The thing is there is no clue online on his website as to what a Treat this Road Trip was going to be!! As I gazed around I saw other Retro vehicles all as pristine as the Hillman Hunter. I saw a Juke Box from the 60’s I saw a VW Camper Van. Plus several Alpha Romeo’s all of them Stunning! “Don’t you want to see your van?” Paul asked. But I was mesmerized by the Sights in his Showroom so I told him I would come and look at it in a minute! Photos : I quickly took some pictures and sent them to a friend of mine who had intended bringing me to Open Road Cars had Paul not paid what I wanted for my old MG to let him know that I bet he wished he had come with me !! My New Caddy Van : was parked outside and when I looked it over I was even more chuffed with my choice. It was Fabulous and I was totally delighted with the detail of the chrome bars under the sills as well as the carpeted interior and the lights in the roof! The Buying Experience : was completely stress-free and I was made to feel welcome to sit around for an hour or so before heading south. Recommendation : I would recommend Open Road Cars to anyone who finds what they are looking for at his garage because these people have a passion for the combustion engine and attention to detail!

Great experience with my recent purchase without being able to physically view the car due to being in Scotland. Staff were really helpful. Communication was great and delivery was fast and bang on time. The car is great and exactly what was described. Would give 6 stars easily if I could.
