I have a car through the Motability services and went to Antony Betts for a long time and never had a problem. Then Motability changed the dealer to Palmers and practically every time we’ve had to go in for a service or problem, they have managed to mess things up. Today was the latest in a long line of problems, we took the car in for its service that we booked well in advance and somehow they had not booked it in (and they realised that they’d messed up) so a wasted journey. I’ve never encountered another garage who seem so incapable of simply organising their day to day business. If we had a choice who our Motability dealer was, I would never go near them again.
Just want to recommend Lee at Palmers Jeep, he went above and beyond to find me the Jeep of my dreams! He is knowledgeable, friendly and honest and is a credit to Palmers! Thanks so much Lee!
Think twice. Once they have your money they cant be trusted to deliver on their promises. Multiple deliveries cancelled and left to accept or cancel the order after paying 10000s of thousands
The image that this company portrays is one of a high end dealership who provide all the dealership services and customer experience that one would expect. In reality however all they are really concerned with is taking your money - a reality that is shared with many other reviews that I have read elsewhere. In March 2020 I visited their Hemel Hempstead showroom and was sold a car that they claimed to have full manufacturers service history, 18 months of manufacturers warranty and had all the features that they had advertised on their website. Upon taking delivery of the car I spent the next few hours getting familiar with it and found that the service book had no service stamps inside. The car was also advertised with having 'Active City Braking' and I couldn't find anything in the books to explain exactly what this feature was. In addition to these issues I also couldn't find any paperwork to confirm any manufacturers warranty. I decided to call Sean WILLIAMS who sold me the car and put these things to him. He said that it does have full service history and that he would chase down the invoices and send them to me, he also confirmed that it was still under warranty and that he would chase the paperwork for that, he also told me that 'Active City Braking' was the same as 'FCM - Forward Mitigation Collision' and that the car had this feature as advertised. 2 weeks later I had not received any paperwork and Sean failed to answer my emails to him. I decided therefore to do my own chasing and so contacted Mitsubishi directly. They told me that my car had only one recorded service back in May 2017, they also told me that the car was out of their warranty as it had just exceeded the mileage to make it still valid, they also told me that their cars do not have anything called 'Active City Braking' and that my vehicle does not have the FCM feature either. As you can imagine I was not happy and as I had not heard from Sean I decided to write an email to Dan BRANCH being the operations sales manager and complain. He never bothered to acknowledge my email but instead he had passed my complaint down to an under manager Simon HARNIMAN. I spoke to Simon and he seemed fairly disinterested and was somewhat condescending at first until I confirmed my position that I was not happy and would take the matter further. All he wanted to do is give me a refund and that was it, he failed to realise or understand that a simple refund was not good enough. This would render me without any car at all (given that I had PX my old one) or that a refund was not proportionate given the circumstances in which the car had been sold to me. He conceded that there was no warranty and vaguely apologised, he said that he would chase the previous owners for the service history. He also said that in regards to the 'Active City Braking' that all they do is copy the features from auto traders website and are therefore not responsible for any mistakes and then referred to a miniature disclaimer at the bottom of their website. I told him that they are responsible for any information on their own site that advertise features of a vehicle that it simple does not have. He eventually reluctantly agreed. The long and short of this is that they were never able to trace the service history which devalues the car, they offered to buy me a comprehensive warranty covering the car until at least July 2021 but instead gave me a cheap 1yr breakdown cover, which I already have with my insurance. The reality is that I was sold a car under the understanding that it had full service history (which it does not), a manufacturers warranty (which it does not) and features that it simply does not have. Not very happy to be honest and feel the customer service I received was nothing short of dishonest and extremely poor. As soon as I had paid the money that was it for them. sale achieved and commission gained. IF YOU WANT UNDERHAND SALES TALK, POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE AND A CAR NOT AS DESCRIBED THEN THIS PLACE IS WELL WORTH A VISIT. YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED!

My 2007 L200 had a problem with 4x4 gearbox, it was stuck in 4x4 shift they was very quick in getting me in and sorting out the problem, very helpful, happy staff would definitely recommend Palmers Motor Company ***** ♡
Awful service, dreadful communication, shook hands to buy a car on Sunday and was sold behind my back the next day to someone else, even though I was due to put a deposit down on the Monday morning. Don't trust Palmers Motor Company.

Very poor offer from Palmers Motor Company for my part exchange. Eventually negotiated a discount next day; paid £500 deposit; but told TWO HOURS later that they had forgotten to to tell me that they didn't do discounts and that car had already been sold to someone offering the asking price.

I have been to Palmers Motor Company several times over the years and I'm pleased to report that this time they were as helpful and friendly as ever. The handover of my new Peugeot was smooth and thorough. Emma was efficient and very capable in everything. I left very satisfied and delighted with my new car.
