AVOID BUYING A CAR FROM PAUL COOPER CARS. The day I took the car away it wouldn't start up first time. Paul was in denial the battery needed replacing. He said to see how it goes over the weekend. I went back to him the following week because the car still wouldn't start first time. Halfords garage checked it and said it needs replacing and is old. Paul eventually replaced it, but it wasn't a smooth process. In fact, he argued with me for having someone look at it. Once the battery was replaced, I was on my way... 2 months down the line the Rocker Cover Gasket had gone, causing the oil to leak and burn. I called Paul and he was extremely rude and unhelpful. Baring in mind, I did NOT receive any aftercare contact after buying the vehicle for a ridiculous rip off price. A garage had confirmed to me the Rocker Cover Gasket needed replacing for a while judging by their inspection and it had only came to light now because of the hot weather and the use of of the Air Con in the car. To add, he had not bothered to have the car serviced either, yet he had the cheek to sell it to me for the stupid price he did. I only bought this because I was desperate for a car at the time, and clearly stupid. I am now looking to take this man and his business to court! Please look elsewhere if you are buying a car. There are many garages/people out there better than here! I do not want anyone else buying a faulty car from this man, who doesn't even give any aftercare, nor does he care once the car is sold.

Always check the guide price for cars being sold here - myself and my son went to look at a car that turned out to be very overpriced. On top of this, we were persuaded by Paul to give a £50 holding fee which he refused to give back to my son once we decided we would not be making a purchase. Would absolutely NOT recommend!

I write to say that I purchased an Audi A4 Cabriolet from Paul Cooper Cars and found Paul himself to be very helpful and a pleasure to deal with. I had the car AA checked and it came back as a very good example in all respects. Paul's description of the car was spot on and he even picked me up at the station. All in all a very good experience.
