i bought a new citreon belingo last year fron penton poole. the car is 10 months old and has developed a major problem. Its at the Christchurch branch where it was fixed but broke down on collection the same day. The service reception are no help at all they just tell you to phone customer service uk, but they are no help at all so waste of time. The whole penton group please check trust pilot reviews is full of complaints. As a Taxi driver i lost so far 8 days worth of work and im being told it could be another 10 days as they have no parts in the uk.
I had to drive quite a distance to see the Berlingo but Ben Schofield was really helpful and ready to show me around the car. He left me to really have a good look round - no pressure at all - and had the car ready to pick up just when he said., after the sale had been agreed. A few bits like a parcel shelf and handbook were not available but have been promised in the post. Ben was really great and made it a very good experience - thanks Ben!
Appalling customer service. My son booked to test drive a DS3, the first car he's bought himself, last Saturday at the Poole Citreön branch. Just after we left home for the 45min drive he had am answerphone message to say the car had been sold. We carried on there and he test drove another DS3 along with looking through the group's stock. He found another DS3 over at the Christchurch branch which the salesman said he would go and get for viewing during the week. My son confirmed viewing on Thursday gone but on arrival the car was not there. To say he was not impressed was an understatement and if it had been me I would have been out of there. Apparently Christchurch wanted the car back but the salesman did not contact my son to tell him. My son was still keen as the salesman said he could get the car back Friday for Saturday viewing. They negotiated a good deal and left it that the salesman would email Friday (yesterday) to confirm the car was there. To my son's disbelief he had no email from the salesman yesterday and so last night emailed him to tell him to forget it. I was dumbfounded. No communication, no apology, no car. You would think they need the sales in these current times. Avoid at all costs. Places like this give car dealers a bad name. Awful.

We had a service recall on our Peugeot and visited the Penton Poole branch for the first time. Jack was great, he made everything very easy and was very knowledgable and professional we had lovely coffee and even a complimentary taxi into Poole so we wouldn’t have to wait around. They dealt with the problem and explained everything. Tom the manager also very helpful, and checked we were happy. Much better customer care than the Westover dealership

Penton Citroen Poole list cars then cancel constantly with you bid active... Not exactly the spirit of eBay. If they can do this what else are they capable of?? No response to emails too.

Recently bought a used DS3 D Sport from Pentons of Poole. The sales person was Kate Lawrence and she was an absolute joy to deal with throughout the process. I really cant speak highly enough of Kate and the dealership as a whole. I couldn't have been treated with more respect and efficiency had I have been buying a new Bentley ! no pressure selling just good old fashioned honesty, knowledge of the product and great customer service. Well Done Pentons I will be back again for my future car purchases.

I was happy to have won an EBay auction on a vehicle being sold by the Penton Motor Group. After several communications I made a lengthy trip to collect the vehicle from Poole on a pre arranged day. The car was not in road worthy working order and a solution to the complaint was not offered, even though it was implied that it's previous owner had only just driven it in; this then resulted in me getting a last minute multi stop return trip home - a 13 hour day! I did in fact speak to several members of staff and obtain email addresses for senior managers, but it was only after I contacted Citroën UK that I was able to get an email address for the dealer principal who responded (5 non answered emails and over 2 months later!). During this time, as they had not responded to the EBay resolution team either accepting responsibility for my dissatisfaction or not, it allowed them to remove my EBay review and comments; making me more exasperated. The dealer principal highlighted their disclaimers and in fact did explain the problem of the faults, which could have been sorted in my presence. They did not make any offer to reimburse my £180 travel costs.

My mother lives locally and I have bought and returned several cars. Consequently they have banned me from bidding. They did this without informing me. There attitude is that they are selling cars with faults. That is fine if you are a local buyer and a mechanic. But it is not so good if you have come a long way. To give an example, I won a nice looking BMW with a flat battery. It also had an EML on. The oil was like treacle. You would not have been able to drive this vehicle away. But Penton only mentioned the EML. They are selling cars with faults. Don't expect them to tell you everything. Another car, I bought and rejected had mayonnaise under the oil filler cap. I found accidentally when I had the oil changed. The mechanic cleaned the oil filler cap. Penton knew there was a problem but did not mention the problem when they sold it again. You could argue, at the price they sold it, that it was still good value. But don't think you are buying a car without faults. They said to me, nobody trades in a car with faults!
I bought a Volvo that I saw online from this dealership. They were very helpful and friendly and The car was clean and in good condition so yes I think I would recommend them
