Car Dealer Reviews is an

I bought an Audi A3 2.0t, travelled over 3 hours, vehicle was exactly as described, 12 month mot and oil service included in sale, so far so good.

Avoid Peter Ashton Car Sales. even better let's all report to trading standards. I bought a fiesta last weekend for £400 plus my knackered mot failed 406. The fiesta lasted one day and now they have my 406 up for £700!!!

Hi, I used Autotrader and the AA as pointers, they seemed to point me to this lot. They pretend to be nice smiley sales men and have a lovely cat...They give you a warranty..which seems worth diddly as they have no intention of honouring anything. Steer clear, I've had chats online with others who say the same. We all want to shop locally and support local HONEST traders, this lot aren't. My car albeit 2nd hand and high mileage, was only driven for a short while and not far, I had a bereavement so didn't drive much. I was lucky, it literally lost power and could have proved fatal if in rush hour. I do not recommend Peter Ashton Car Sales.

My son brought a car from this company and now has been told that the car should not have been sold to him as it is not fit for the road . I am very disappointed with the company as they even where told that children would be travelling in the car . I hope and pray that any one with a family reading my reveiw avoids this company like the plague.

I have also been sold a vehicle that was unroadworthy due to not having a horn that works along with multiple issues. I'm fighting to get my money back. Under the Consumer Rights Act 2015.
Total nightmare gearbox went clutch no handbrake 7 lights had just had mot noise from engine drop links gone one bad tyre off road now for clutch went on motorway last week suspension noises too it would be easier to set fire to it !! Avensis d4d t spirit Toyota not reliable at all !!
Bought a mondeo for just short of £3000, which might not seem a lot but it was top money for this car. Before I could pick it up I was told the mechanic would give it a look over to make sure everything was ok. Picked the car up a week later, and the brakes where a joke sounded like a train coming into station. Passenger door not opening from outside , rear seatbelt not working. Under closer inspection rear pads where worn to metal but every brake disc on the car was severely corroded . Took it back told them .They took car back and had the car another week. Got it back all they had done was put some rear pads on it, but never adjusted the handbrake so that was not working .Discs had not been touched bearing in mind this was a 3.0l v6 its brakes felt like they where off a push bike. Rang them back up and it was a heated conversation. In which they told me to take it back. I have not took it back as I don't believe they have a qualified mechanic in the place. I have since replaced the discs the ha brake cables one track rod end which was kaput. And there is a couple of bushes want doing yet. Only actually had the car in my possession for 4 weeks. Once they have your money that's it. Warranty that they give you is not worth the paper it is printed on. Avoid this place or take a mechanic with you.

Toyota avensis since buying had 7 bulbs replaced 1 bald tyre handbrake cables clutch gearbox the gearbox was done foc but paying for clutch spring on strut and strut top mount and drop link had to hire a car so very costly!!
Bought a car from this excuse of a company. I had the car for the the duration of a few days and it broke down. When I took t back they tried to pass it off as wear and tear. I requested a refund which was refused. The staff are aggressive and rude. The company thinks UK Law doesn't seem to apply to them. They also lied about the car being okay. I am a lady driver and I trusted their expertise. I had both my young children in the car when it broke down in the middle of a motorway. No remorse shown whatsoever completely ignorant in terms of responding to my numerous emails. DO NOT BUY FROM PETER ASHTON CAR SALES!

Hi just wondered if they sorted the problems for you as I have just had a similar experience and they are claiming 'wear and tear' on a major engine fault after just 5 days! Car also flooded yet was told all seals were checked. So angry!!

Omg I bought a run around last weekend fiesta for £400 and my old car for scrap value my fiesta lasted one day and they have my 406 up for £700.
Bought an A4 Convertible in March with paid for warranty with Auto Protect, in May noise from Gearbox, reported 5 times to Hammy at the garage and gave him options for repair and all were ignored. Took to garage for repair and charged £1642.80 and claim refused by warranty on grounds of wear and tear, too date car has travelled only 800 miles ! So this is not my wear and tear. Hammy says that due to taking car elsewhere he cannot 'help'me as unauthorised by me. PLEASE BE AWARE THEY ARE SELLING CARS WITH A RESTRICTIVE WARRANTY AND REFUSE TO HELP !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Totally agree my Toyota avensis Dz4D has spent more time at Preston Peter Ashton than on road gearbox now clutch that handbrake still faulty and charged for clutch wear and tear they say !!
was after a cheap runaround, seen a few cars under a grand, ended up buying a corsa, staff were helpful, not too pushy, car seems fine, could have done with a valet though. if youre after a cheap runaround then the right place
