Awful experience from start to finish. Would never buy from Peter vardy again. Bought our car may 2023 and the road tax was included in the monthly payments for the first year. But since may 2024 we have paid our own road tax however our payments have not reduced and no matter numerous attempts both on phone and in branch to fix this issue we have been fobbed off every time and we are continuing to be frauded as they are taking payments for a service in which they aren’t providing. Would not recommend anyone to buy from Peter vardy nothing but a nightmare.
My fiancé went to Carz at Hillington and we spoke to the salesman. We described that she required a 4 wheel drive car with sat nav. She's a nurse and that type of car would be beneficial during the winter. The salesman showed us a Nissan Qashqai which met our requirements (so he said). Anyway when we collected the car there was no Sat nav and the salesman told us it’s on order and it’ll be there in a couple of weeks. Well months passed and contacted them again, then we were told these take 8 months to come from Nissan. (Got one on eBay next day delivery)…. But thank you Reg Vardy. Still haven’t received the one from you yet. Now, Couple of years later (now), my fiancé was complaining of the car sliding on the road often. I took the car to my local a garage for a MOT and service and I asked him to check it out, as it’s meant to be a 4 wheel drive. To our shock, we were told this car was not a 4 wheel drive, which we were told it was and that’s why we purchased it. As you can see by this above, the company and the salespeople are just complete liars and they don’t care about customers. How companies and people like this can actually sleep at night known they’ve lied and ripped off innocent people. Shame on these people and as a company, hopefully you won’t get away with doing this to customers much longer. The more people who hear about the terrible practices in your company I hope more stay away. Dec 2023 ** Still no message from Peter Vardy regarding this. The salesman was Nick. They have been getting this same review removed from Trustpilot stating we are not real customers **

I took out a warranty with Peter Vardy, over £2000 and it is not worth the paper it is written on. I have complained to the Complaints Department who were no help at all and I have contacted Mr Vardy himself and he hasn't even had the decency to respond. He states that he is a Christian man and a philanthropist. What an absolute joke...he is a criminal. I WOULD NEVER ADVISE ANYONE TO BUY ANYTHING FROM THIS COMPANY.

My experience with Peter Vardy Hillington was the worst experience I have ever had, the staff were awful no help, what so ever I had to wait for a week to 10 days for my car to arrive still not seen it. They kept telling me we'll phone you back no reply I phoned them all of the time , once I waited 2 days for a reply, shocking. The car they showed me at Hillington CARZ was similar to mine wouldn't start, even from a jump start. From start to finish it was a absolute nightmare, no customer service. I hated the place. They kept delaying everything. I had to find my own Finance for the car, once I got that, they wanted me to pay £300 cause I got my own finance and done there job for them. I managed it in one day and they couldn't in two weeks. As soon as I left to go to another Car Showroom two days and I got my car. That's how it's done.

I have been without a car now for 4 months after having the car for only 32 days. No courtesy car, no return calls, finance company (MotoNovo) useless and now raise a complaint with ombudsman, I would say that Peter Vardy are the absolute worse care dealer I have ever dealt with. My mental health has taken as beating.
I cannot put into words how awful my entire experience has been. Car was sold faulty and three months later it still has not been repaired. Now im struggling to get a refund. Avoid at all costs!

Pauline Picken in response to The worst car buting experience
My daughter has had the same issue on more than one occasion. We also purchased the warranty at the initial purchase for piece of mind due to her having two young children. When we had yet another problem after owning the car for 9 months and numerous repairs at the beginning we got told conflicting stories of who was responsible for the repair. I was then told it is for a 3rd party who deal with the repair even though we paid several hundred pounds to Peter Vardy and was not not told that at the time of purchase. To top it all off today (15062023) it was insinuated by the Guest Manager in Glasgow I am a liar. Not happy!! Safety is obviously not a No 1 concern for Peter Vardy Cars.
My daughter bought her first car here at the end of Feb '23, after being seriously let down previously after purchasing a dud from Arnold Clark, Crow Road. Initially the purchase of the car was straight forward enough, it was noted that there was a boot spacer missing, which meant anything of weight place in the boot sank into the boot well. The salesman assured my daughter this would be available in a few days to pick up, along with locking wheel nuts that were also missing! Finally after seven weeks, numerous telephone calls, fobbing off and generally feeling that Peter Vardy were not at all interested in dealing with the issues, my daughter was told the part was ready to be picked up! And you have probably guessed, it was the wrong part! Simply not good enough Peter Vardy, treating an 18yr, first time car purchaser like this is simply unacceptable, and if that is the business model used to ensure buyers stick with you in subsequent purchases, you seriously need to give your head a wobble! We have have told the part can now be posted out, and that we would be given an update ASAP. At time of writing, still haven't been contacted. Get your act together Peter Vardy!

I am 100% dissatisfied with the customer service that I received at Carz Peter Vardy, KIRKCALDY. The car I purchased came from another branch and was not delivered in the stated time frame. One particular representative made mistakes in the information she communicated with me. She also made mistakes in the paperwork. Invoices needed to be redone. The car was again delayed due to her mistakes with the paperwork. Once received, the car wasn’t even clean. After complaining, They took the car back to be valeted and it still didn’t get cleaned inside properly. For example I cleaned the cup holder myself with a wipe and it was full of dirt etc Moreover the car was low in engine oil and coolant water and to end the list the car needs alignment. Overall, the customer service, sales, communication, time management, administration, customer complaint handling, presentation of the car was all very low standard. It’s not what you expect when buying a top of the range Mercedes for 30k. Most of all, it took the fun and excitement out of buying a new car.

Okay I'll try and break this down as much as possible. 8th March - seen a Nissan Juke put deposit down 14 March - day to pick up new car. Changed over insurance at a cost of £42 and paid PV in full and two hours before I was due to leave to collect the car got a call from the salesman to say they couldn't sell us the car as it had too many faults. 15 March - Got money refunded seen another Nissan Juke this time online and spoke to the salesman. This car would be available on 22 March. 22 March - Picked up car. On way home various warning signs started to come on. Drove the car to shops and wouldn't start again but eventually did after around 40 mins. 23 March - Car would not start at all. Called for assistance. Had to pay for assistance as the paperwork was wrong (registered to the first car). The mechanic who came out couldn't help as it was an electrical fault. This money has been refunded. Arranged for car to be towed back to PV. Arranged a hire car from Arnold Clark as PV said they couldn't help with a courtesy car but would pay up to £50 per day for us leasing one. Still not got the money even though I sent a receipt in for £192. Changed insurance again this time costing £63. 29 March - Got a call to say the car was fixed. Picked the car up and stopped to get diesel. All the warning lights started flashing again and the doors wouldn't close to. The doors eventually closed but it wouldn't restart. It did however start after an hour of sitting in the forecourt causing a blockage. 30 March - Having to call Arnold Clark to extend the hire of my car. Have been in touch with PV to say the car is being towed back and want a full refund. Another review will be posted on how easy/difficult it is to get a refund. Please note I live a remote area of Biggar and there is no public transport to get me into Edinburgh at 7.00am in the morning for work so this has had a huge impact on my life and I still don't have a working car after nearly 4 weeks PLUS I'll need to change the insurance again!!!
