Robert Stirling at Hillington Extremely friendly service, very dedicated and knowledgeable, great sense of humour added to the experience
Absolutely appalling company. Bought my car Feb, only received one key and still waiting for that to be resolved. Spoken to so many staff members who promise to call back you never hear from them. Now paying to get problems with cat fixed despite still under warranty as it’s just not worth the run around and absolute rubbish they give you. Also got told to f*** off by a lovely member of staff when I dared ask him to repeat his name. He then hung up.. car has already been in for repair (another garage) for two repairs. I have given them every opportunity to fix my problems and they do.not.care. They will feed you a load of bull. The senior manager who is “dealing” with my complaint is the worst. No respect. No liability. Go anywhere else and buy a car from them.

Bought a car for £14500 drove out the showroom and an engine management light came on and ( done less than 2 miles when it came on) and was told to bring it back up the next day and they would fix it . Driving up to the showroom with the engine management light another red warning light came on and the car went into limp home mode with reduced power. They said the problem had been fixed and the car was fine for about 3 days then the engine management light came back on.and told I needed a new part so another trip back to them. Got the car back and all was good for about a week when I was away on holiday another warning light cam on with no engine restart in 500 miles. So had to take in yet again and they had to send the car away because they couldn't fix it. Once you buy a car from them they want nothing more to do with you. In 2 months I made nearly 50 phone calls whick i never received a reply and at least a dozen trips back and forwards to them. My compensation for all this trouble a tank of fuel and was promised a free service which he would email me .... Still waiting. If you want a bad experience when buying a car this is the place to go.
Duncan was a great salesman, took time from his other customers to look for a specific car I wanted but the manager of the store was far too forceful to attempt to get me buy a car I wasn't keen on and didn't like. The manager was all too happy to attempt to belittle Duncan infront of me during our time with him.
I viewed a car on various sites all connected to Vardy. It stated the car was £23,000 When I went to showroom it was £25,499. I was told I would receive a phone call the following day to clarify the price 2 days later no phone call and still on all 3 websites at £23,000. This should not be allowed. The advertised price should be selling price of stated vehicle.
Told small repairs would be done not done and car not serviced before handover as I got an email telling me service now due only had the car 4 weeks

Went to purchase a new car from Hillington. Superb service from Connor who provided the best customer experience!! All the team are very pleasant and interact with the customers as does Alan the manager. Hassle free, fantastic service!
Horrific customer service at the Glasgow Car Store. False promises. No cares given. Usual, calls and calls constantly until I purchase the car then all of a sudden everyone is in a meeting or on holiday, anywhere but in branch. Aftersales is a joke, there massivley understaffed, i felt sorry for the lone man left working there on his own (he was the only genuine and nice one). The customer relations manager is useless, i am genuinely surprised she can even dress herself in the morning. The hole place is a disaster. I complained and they couldn't of cared any less. I will never buy a car with this company again and i will at every opportunity share my story in detail. My story is fully supported by over 50 emails, photos and call logs as long as my arm. Its a shame really as it my complaint could of been easily rectified.

I considered a car from Peter Vardy. I was lied about re delivery, I was lied to re having someone video call me to let me see the car. I was not called back when promised. I was persuaded to put a £99 deposit on the car to reserve it, assured that the deposit would be refunded if I didn’t like the video and didn’t want the car. The car was NOT reserved, at no point did that happen. Meantime, I didn’t hear back from the agent, I decided to go somewhere more reliable and bought a car elsewhere - an absolute joy compared to dealing with Peter Vardy. So, after countless emails and promises, my deposit has NEVER been refunded. They keep telling me that it has, yet it’s not reached my account. First they said it’d be 5 working days, the last time I was promised it had been refunded apparently now it takes 10 working days. Buyer BEWARE. This is a company that just cares about your money, in my experience they lie and cheat to keep you hanging on, probably hoping you’ll give up. Despite all this - I consider myself lucky - I could have actually bought a car from them and been in the position where they’d have done the same thing if anything went wrong in the warranty period. I’d seriously advise buying locally from an independent garage with good reviews. And if you can’t buy locally, then use one of the up-front online companies that don’t hide what they are. Avoid these cowboys where you’ll get the worst of both worlds.

STAY AWAY, THEY WILL RIP YOU OFF ......My wife and I bought her Citreon DS3 in May 21, hadn' had a problem. On 4th January 2022, my wife was at work, her car fully locked, with no keys in the ignition, The lights and window wipers tuned themselves. When she went to the car, opened it, and put the keys in the ignition. The lights and window wipers turned off, and the car failed to start. In accrdance with her warranty, she called Peter Vardy who arranged for collection of the car that day,but couldn't look at it until a week later, (As they were that busy, ) Again in accordance with the warranty, she asked for a courtesy car (Which he warranty states is guarenteed), but they said they didn't have one, but said as soon as one is available its hers. Anyway, the recovery company came to collect the car. Before he took it, he did some initial fault finding diagnosis, He checked the battery and even try to Jump start it with his leads but to no avail. He then did further diagnostics in accordance with his report which we hold. He clearly stated that there was nothing wrong with the battery, and in his 30 years of experience, it is either the electrics or alternantor that has gone. The following week, my wife received a call from Peter Vardy, stating that they know what the probelm is. They said its not electrical, it needs a new battery which is not covered by the warranty and will be a cost to her of £230. After my wife got off the phone, she then searched her office and found the Recovery comapnies report, which clearly states that the battery was good. So, after spending 5 hours trying to get through to them, the only way to contact them was to go down. When went down there, we told them what the reovery drivers report said, They refused to believe it, they said that the battery was completely dead and thats why the car wont start and again he battery is not part of the warranty, so we agreed to pay. (Even though we stated that it a professional had stated it wasn't the battery). The next day my wife got a call from Peter Vardy, they told her that they had changed the battery but its still not working, they have ran further tests, and indeed the problem is he fuse pannel from which she requires a new one at a cost of £130 (Again not part of the waranty) So then we argued, so why are we being charged for a brand new battery, even though the professionals report stated the battery was good, and now your saying the problem lies with the fuse pannel. Anyway, they then agreed t waiver the fuse pannel charge and fit a new one, but still getting charged for the battery (That the car didn't need). A week later my wife got a call saying that they had changed the fuse pannel but the car still isn't working, they dont have an electrical expert within the Peter Vardy organsiation, so they are going to have to obtain one from an external sauce, at a cost of £80 an hour, billed to us. So as you can see, even though the warranty covers electrics, they have tried to charge us for everything else, And every diagnostic they have assure us it is. Isn't. We are now nearly 7 weeks still without our car, any correspondence. And yes even though the warranty guarentees it, We still haven't got a courtesy car because "There are still none available". Now people if you can tell me this is the kind of proffessional, customer services and honesty you expect from a dealership. Then knock yourselves out, but just be prepared for the warranty to not cover anything, spend hours on the phone and not get a call back, be told wrong infomation again that will cost you to fix, and you have more chance of winning the lottery than getting a courtesy car. Like i said "Peter Vardy, six month old car, warranty wont cover anything, no courtesy car and 7 weeks in and still no word". Its absolutely disgusting that they are allowed to opeate in this Manor. So again, i cant stress enough , KEEP AWAY, KEEP YOUR MONEY, and stay HAPPY.
