DO NOT GO TO PETER VARDY!!! This company is an absolute joke!!! I bought my car from the Hillington branch 5 months ago. Agreed with the dealership they would put a new battery in, 2 days later the car broke down. Had to phone the AA who told me the battery was old and hadn’t been replaced. Took it to Peter vardy and lo and behold a week later it broke down again. Then had an issues with the tyre pressure sensor system, again had to take it back to them twice for them to fix it. A week later the battery went dead again, took it back and they said it was an alternator problem, then they ordered the wrong alternator… The after sales team are completely pointless. The manager, Craig hasn’t a clue how to manage customers, let alone the staff. Couldn’t offer any money for all the taxis I had to get back and forth to the dealership. But could offered me a free service worth £250, then when I told him I didn’t want that proceeded to tell me I was losing money! Had to ask them for a curtsey car, had to wait a month for one then on the day I was meant to collect it, they miraculously didn’t have one… didn’t brother to let me know though. They will do the absolute minimum to fix your car, just to get it through the warranty period. They’re all a bunch of liars and if you go with them you will be ripped off. By the way don’t fall for the scam of you paying for the service initially and them paying you back monthly for it, we got 1 payment then they stopped paying it to us. After a meeting with them they agreed to reject the car and give us our money back… however after speaking to finance company they ‘never said such a thing’… completely went against their word. Overall in the 3 months we had the car it broke down 4 times and was returned to Peter vardy 5 times. Thankfully the finance company could see through all their bullshit and decided to reject the car and give us our money back plus compensation. This company is a scam and I would strongly encourage you to NOT give them your business as it will only backfire on you

How did u go about getting ur money and that back my and my partner have a on going dispute regarding been sold a faulty car and have returned it they keep fobbing us off, I have emailed the finance company a complaint with all rhe faults they have agreed to investigate it, we have sat 1 week now without a car still no further forward with it need some advice from someone who has had dealings with them in the past, thanks
About to pay for the and told the car is already sold at another depot. Simple thing to do you have a booking in your calendar 1hr even 10 mins check it's still for sale. Not wait till about to make a sale waste of mine and your time

Dear Mr Vardy, On Thursday 08 December my wife and I visited your hillington showroom and decided to purchase a Mini Cooper SJ63VRG, which we were told by the salesman Fraser Gordon was ‘ready to go’……not so, on test driving there was a noise from the offside front and we were told the car would go into service and be fixed. We were told to return on Monday 12 August and all would be good. On Monday 12 August we went to the hillington showroom where it was obvious the car hadn’t been looked at, we were just about to leave after being kept waiting over an hour when miraculously we were told the car had been fixed and was ready. The car was brought round and we took it a short drive, alas, the noise was still there. We were about to cancel the sale and were persuaded by the promise of an extended warranty to go ahead with the purchase. Okay, everyone deserves a chance, especially since you gave us a very nice Fiesta Vignese to drive while the mini once again went to be repaired. We’ve now been flying around in your very nice Fiesta Vignese for over a week. Yesterday, my wife phoned (a common theme is developing here) to see when the mini would be ready, we were told it would be delivered today. It’s now 1620 and my wife again has spent 20 minutes on the phone being pushed around various departments as the elusive Mr Gordon can’t be found, the very Mr Gordon who was asked to telephone my wife yesterday, but didn’t. I’m sure you can appreciate that our opinion of Peter Vardy as a car dealer is not now rose tinted and anything you can do to restore your reputation will be appreciated.

Full Service Mystery! By coincidence, I have tried on two occasions to get information on the same vehicle, 4 weeks apart. ( SL15 NXY) Never got past first base even though I am in the market to buy a car and Im willing to travel . First experience 8th Nov 22: I write a letter to Pater Vardy Carz- Motherwell, explaining my lacklustre experience. To whoever may not respond, I would like to inform you of why I am so disappointed with your company. After searching for a BMW 3 Series Gran Turismo via Auto Trader I came upon a car that met the criteria I was looking for. This was Sunday 6th Nov. I duly clicked the “Message the seller“ button on Auto Trader, completed a simple contact form and in the message box requested information on the Service History of the vehicle ( SL15 NXY). A person called Ewan texted me and asked who he was chatting with. I gave my name and explained I was wanting to see the Service History pertaining to the vehicle. He explained “ Thank you James I don’t have access to the service history myself but I can certainly have the sales team contact you” I replied” yes get back to me tomorrow (Mon 7th Nov) I’m based just south of Newcastle but could come up to view the car sometime” He asked for best number and email to get back to me which I provided. Ewan replied “perfect thank you James! I will get the team in touch with you as soon as they can. “ I said “ ok sometime tomorrow will do” Texting ended shortly afterwards. I waited Monday for a call perhaps expecting a call around 10-11 am if you were busy. At almost 1 pm ( 12:49) I called yourselves to enquire about the service history. The woman who answered the phone sounded “rushed/ hurried” with not the most welcoming tone but not hostile either, it quite took me aback. I explained I was after the service history of the vehicle and had been informed someone would get back to me. She said she would look into it and replied that she had seen no message that I was to be contacted. She did say she would check the service history for me as I explained I was interested in the car. ( Had I had this information I would have driven straight up to view it.) ( In hindsight I now know this would have been a costly mistake) The woman got back to me and said she couldn’t access / find the service history, so I was beginning to think the car didn’t have one, as you have not put it up on your website. She did inform me though that the car was still for sale. So we’re almost at 1pm. She said she would get someone to call me back. By this point to be honest I was losing interest as there seemed to be either a lack of organisation (in finding the required info) or a lack of transparency (in now wanting to reveal it) as you have shown many details of the car but not the history. Who would buy a prestigious vehicle without it? At 15:39 I received a call back ( from a salesman?) asking what I was after… I explained I was wanting to see the service history of the aforementioned vehicle. He told me the car was sold, would I like info on another car? So, what a total waste of my time. 3rd DEC Im searching again for similar car- Car Wow ad comes up on google. I didn't realise it was the same car Id been told was sold 4 weeks ago. I also didn't notice it was Peter Vardy, just saw Car Wow. Requested Service History of the vehicle. Dominika on chat line couldn't get it. Message to to PV Team. I receive msg saying Charlotte will call me, I explained I dont want a call just SERVICE HISTORY DETAILS. Well, I still dont have it, cant get past first base with Peter Vardy. Its still a FULL SERVICE MYSTERY!

Anyway long story short, bought a car from these clowns in July and I think I have driven it for a month and they have had it more than me. just now NEW DO NOT USE this branch it is shocking, they after sales is a total JOKE, the excuses they come up with is down right LIES, telling you the automatic cars have squeaky breaks when driving and reversing (aye no bother lol) damage ur wheel then say no it wasn't us, wait on them replacing a front windscreen... 4 months later very good NOT. Say they will call back .... guess what .... that right they didn't bother and I did give them 4 days extra ... Carry out work and don't update the records, this is just the tip of the iceberg. Thanks PETER VARDY you have ruined my trust in yous but this will.not go unnoticed. I paid them in cash and once they have the money they DO NOT CARE 1 single bit

During the first 5 days I managed to reserve the car online, come down from Aberdeen to Glasgow for a test drive, and sort all financial formalities over the phone with the sales person. We agreed on delivery to Aberdeen CARZ branch. (You’ll have to get ready for admin environmental fee on top of the sticker price - £199). After 1.5 weeks I found out that the car was still in Glasgow. We agreed over the phone that I’d come down to Glasgow to collect the car myself, delivery to Aberdeen would be cancelled. I took a day-off from work, came to Hillington CARZ at the agreed time only to find out that the car had been taken to Aberdeen few hours before I came.. Sales lady promised to cover my travel expenses (which was done later after reminder - ok). I collected the car from Aberdeen branch in 3 days. The pre-paid AutoGlym paint protection treatment (£299) was not done – the car was not even cleaned. The same dirty spots were on the body as I saw it 3 weeks before at the test drive, driver’s door and the doorsill were full of shoe traces etc. I contacted Hillington CARZ for refund, and was promised the AutoGlym treatment would be sorted for me at Aberdeen CARZ branch and I’d be contacted for an appointment. Another 3 weeks passed – nothing was sorted.. As a result, quite disappointing experience – took me 3 weeks to get a car, paid service not provided, disorganized company. Knowing all that, I’d pay more for the same model, but sold near my place.

I don’t even have time to say about the amount on monumental failures and shocking service I’ve received. Every interaction has had issues. I feel like Jeremy Beadle will jump out any minute it’s that unbelievable. The most diabolical company I have ever dealt with, ever! I will never go near you again and will advise anyone else not too. Says something that every time I have been in dealership/service area - about 4 times in the last year - there has been someone complaining and equally complain about the service. The staff - service manager -turnover says it all, I would be embarrassed to work for Peter Vardy and to be fair their staff must be under stress anyway due to the company’s total ineptness. Avoid at all costs. I’d rather pay more for a car than the stress & time I’ve wasted with these cowboys/rip off merchants. There’s nothing that can reverse my experience other than a complete rehaul of your company and ethics or indeed you go bust and save a lot of folk a lot of distress and money. They don’t deserve 1 star. If I could do -5 stars that would be an accurate reflection of my experiences.
Wanted to buy a car and all was well and good. I did a test drive came back to pay. I said I am not taking finance out as I'm paying cash and as I was not interested in any additional extras or warranties just the car with cash the sales rep became very agitated and still tried to add additional fees for "admin" but put it through as accessories! They pride themselves as 'no hidden fees' and 'what you see is what you pay' on their website yet the manager at the branch tried telling me that they advertise their admin fees online! I walked out checkeed their website after I got home and not a word on their website about any additional admin fees at all! In fact I can reserve and buy the car online and pick it up from their branch for the advertised price being OTR. So I am definitely going to be shopping elsewhere for any car needs and I am glad I did not put a deposit in as I'm afraid I wouldn't see it back either!

I visited the Peter Vardy site at Hillington last Saturday afternoon as I am in the market for a new vehicle,I was approached by a salesman called James,who was most helpful and friendly,I felt comfortable talking to him and he answered all of parts of my enquiry about the car I was interested in,he came across as very enthusiastic,knowledgeable and keen for my business,he made me feel important,so much so I am going to revisit the showroom on a day that I know James will be working,very impressed!!!
