purchase a 16 plate Vauxhall Astra Design Sports Tourer 1.6 Diesel Design £8,150 with 26k miles from Peter Vardy Car Store, Hillington. I pointed out several issues the day after collection including loose steering column. cracked windscreen, dangerously worn brakes creaking suspension to name just a few, which you would not expect from a reputable car dealership. The car has been back to the garage twice. Peter Vardy Car Store Hillington asked Peter Vardy Vauxhall, Edinburgh to undergo the repairs but the issues have still not been resolved. I am now experiencing new faults with the vehicle which is raising my suspicion as to the vehichles past history. Consumer Advice Scotland have provided me with three complaint templates in accordance with Consumer Rights Act 2015. There has been no response from all three letters even though I sent a copy to the CEO. This has been an ongoing battle over the last 5 months. Made numerous phone calls, every time nobody is willing to take ownership, promise a callback which never comes to fruition. There seems to be an inability to speak with the customer and their own dealerships. I took my previous car to Peter Vardy Vauxhall Edinburgh for a major service which cost £1500. It was a 62 plate Vauxhall Zafira 1.7 Design Diesel with 99,000 miles. I requested a cam belt replacement and was upsold a replacement water pump and auxiliary belt. Other than that the car was a very good runner. Picked my car up and the drive quality was completely different. The car was sluggish and after days I was getting an array of lights flashing on the dashboard and the car ground to a halt and would not start. The car had to be towed to the garage. Peter Vardy Vauxhall advised to repair the car would cost a further £3000. I was unable to pay this so they offered me a trade in of £1000. I have traced the car which has been bought by a small dealership in Cheshire which are selling the car for £3,750. I know car dealerships are required to make a profit but surely there is legislation for this extortion
Purchased a Range Rover Evoque for 16k last month. Later found that there was no locking wheel nuts or key. Queried the after sales team who advised me that they had removed the locking nuts during their inspection and had replaced them with normal nuts. Would have been nice to be told this either from the salesman or the advertising literature as the insurance company would have had a field day with any claim.. They have refused to replace them as I did not ask about them when viewing the car, so beware customer, if you fail to ask about anything and it's missing or faulty then it's your fault. The after sales team maintain a very low professional bar as can be seen from every review website except Peter Vardy's obviously. Front of house are simply there to move metal and will be very friendly and helpful untill you sign on the dotted line, so be aware be very aware.
Went to pick used corsa at 2. Waited an hour to be told wrong car was getting valeted. After another hour, discovered the car did not have the right spec. Waited 2hours to find he spec on the website did not match the car being supplied. .
Horrible experience with Peter Vardy Carstore, had to stand to attention at entrance reception and then given A lanyard - seriously...... couldn’t just go for a walk around to review the cars I’m stock, had to be introduced to a salesman who then followed like a shadow, I went to see a specific car but in the end I left without even asking about it due to the micro-management from start to finish - worst showroom experience I have ever witnessed, won’t be back, ,
Beware of auction cars with no history. Beware, Cars sold at the Peter Vardy carstore Hillington are bought cheap at Central car auctions in Glasgow given a clean and basic service oil/filter then sold on at their fancy showroom. Poor customer service, will tell you what you want to hear during sale then deny everything. I was told I would receive service history. No service history so no way to guarantee mileage. Was told that they could verify milage through HPI check.... that's impossible without service history. Would never deal with them again.

Poor customer service at Peter Vardy Carstore, very very poor. Extremely rude including the management, Sean McIntyre and Jamie Reed were especially unhelpful and I wish never to deal with these rude imbeciles again. If the senior management wishes to keep this company afloat perhaps teach your staff some basic manners, after all, you are not the only big fish in town.

Bought a car from the Peter Vardy Carstore Glasgow Hillington branch had it 3 weeks and it broke down, they have now had the car for over 18 WEEKS and still not repaired. Called me today to advise they have now LOST THE CAR KEY ! asking if I can bring in the spare. Customer service in this branch is shockingly bad, not responding to calls, little to no communication etc. I requested my money back to be advised I would only receive "trade in value" over £1,500 less than we paid for the car, even although it is being repaired under warranty and they have had it 18 weeks ! Absolutely shocking, I have now escalated complaint to their head office.

If I could give Peter Vardy Car Store minus stars I would! Do not buy a car from this place. My terminally ill father purchased a car in Dec £26,000 to enable him to get about safely to and from Hospital appointments for Chemotherapy. My mum is unable to walk so having a car is their lifeline. Sunday the car was smoking and brake failure which my dad panicked at took straight back . Monday morning he walked a considerable bit to go into the showroom and almost collapsed. He was left sitting for two hours nobody approached him to tell him what was going on. Eventually he went to find someone only to be told it would have to go to Motherwell! No courtesy car offered nothing. He’s 77 and has cancer and very ill and terminal! 7 days later various phone calls to be told they suspect it was his fault!! The car is brand new!! How can a clutch fail after two months on a brand new car! The car has still not been looked at despite me explaining how ill he is and how much he needs the car.....despite this being his only way of getting out to the doctors!! My dad is stressed and it’s definitely not something he needs. They take your money and then are not interested. Please read all reviews for this place they bump up the good ones. Shame on you Peter Vardy I certainly will make it my mission to name and shame you. AVOID AT ALL COST!!!!!
After care service at Peter Vardy CarStore is a joke especially if you have any dealings with the general manager if he can be bothered to phone you back. Very insulting in their attitude and will tell you many lies to get you out of the door and not bother falling thru with any promises. Travelled back and forward to the showroom that many times could do it blindfolded. Passed onto everyone I know how bad service or lack of was so they won't have to go thru what i have had endure for the last 3 weeks. Wouldn't recommend and will never use again even if they were giving the cars for free.

Purchased a car from Peter Vardy Carstore and when I went to pick it up it was missing the spare key and boot shelf and the passenger seat was damaged as well as there was a crack in the screen wash bottle, reported all of these to them and it took 4 months to fix most of it but they are refusing to fix the screen wash bottle which I was charged £80 to find out about.
