So its now day 6 of awaiting my deposit refund for a cancelled vehicle @Peter Vardy Vauxhall (Edinburgh) Quick enough to take my deposit after a string of quick-fire calls but radio silence after i cancelled the car first thing Monday morning. When i chased this up with the Edinburgh Branch sales Manager Paul , 4 days after cancellation with still no refund, i was advised that due to reduced staffing he required more time. I can't see that returning funds to a customer from a card machine takes any more time than the few minutes of inputting that was required to take my money in the first place. No excuses of reduced staffing are acceptable..... i had to return a wrong car part to a far smaller company and received a full card refund the following day. I set Peter Vardy Vauxhall a deadline for close of business yesterday. Although i did receive a text from Sales Manager Paul asking for my bank details yesterday (even though i paid the original deposit on a credit card?) I provided these assuming maybe it was quicker or easier for them to refund me this way. But alas...... as i type this no refund to either my bank account nor my credit card. I had made my stance clear to @Peter Vardy Vauxhall (Edinburgh) that if funds were not received by Friday i would start posting on social media to air my discontent at this entire lack of care and customer service, especially during such uniquely difficult times when every penny counts. So here we are the first of daily social media posts across various platforms............ Its sad to think that during this pandemic where we hear so many stories of people helping each other and working together that a company as large as @Peter Vardy Vauxhall (Edinburgh) couldn't give an actual shit about anything otheR than DEALS DEALS DEALS DEALS DEALS. Sad, disappointing & frustrating.

Do not deal with this dealer they only want your money if you have a problem they will not sort it out, I paid 18k for a Land Rover after 3 days the turbo went and after 3600 now the steering has gone, Please look at other dealers there after sales is a disgrace

I purchased a Mercedes C- Class Hybrid, in Sept 2019. When I picked up the car it came without a 3 pin Charging cable for the home. I flagged this up to the sales Rep at the time and they told me that they would look it to it. After many phone calls and e-mails and over 3 months later I was told that they were not will to supply a cable for the car. Now, I have to buy a cable at over £200 (second hand). During the 3 months the car has costed more in fuel than i had excepted due to not being able to plug the car in and use the electric motors. Very poor customer service, and string you along and hope you go away. Also, the paint protection care pack has not arrived. I will not be buying a car from Edinburgh Vauxhall again.
Viewed a car at Peter Vardy Vauxhall in Edinburgh and agreed on a sale, made the pre sale arrangements on the Saturday and collected the car on the Monday. They charged me for VX Protect that wasn't even done. The car was simply washed. No interior cloth protection and certainly no paintwork protection carried out. If you use a fallout remover, polish and wax. A car doesn't still have tar spots and tree sap all over it. Had the car for 2 days and discovered that they sold it with an outstanding safety recall on it. Wasn't a new recall either so how it was missed, I will put down to negligence. Especially so when the car was originally in Aberdeen and then on to Edinburgh. I was also told that the car would be fully serviced again before collection. It wasn't done. An oil change is not a full service. Toyota have since completed the recall work and I've paid them to carry out a full service on my car. All contact has been ignored by Peter Vardy. Clearly thinking they can avoid refunding me for the VX Protect that they were quick to upsell but not so quick to carry out at all. I'm now also cancelling the PV Warranty as I will not be dealing with them again. Also reported to Trading Standards due to selling a car with a safety recall outstanding. DVSA do actually prosecute for this sort of thing too. Initially I was happy with the service provided by PV but once they have your money and you drive off the forecourt, they don't want to know.

Please if you value your time, money, energy and life go elsewhere and no Peter Vardy Vauxhall Edinburgh. Firstly I am disappointed that I am forced to select 1 star. I have purchased two vehicles, and have had nothing but issues with both. Car 1, Clutch vibration, gears difficult to change, aircon not working, scratches, cigarette burn, Dog hair everywhere, smell of wet dog, Tyre pressure warning on dash on pick up, some electrics not working and having the car for 6 days out of 1 month ownership and its still there, Currently awaiting an update as its the 2nd time its been left for the same issues. Car 2, was for for my wife who was pregnant at the time and now a new mother, vehicle had tracking issues, Engine management light came on Peter Vardy assist came out and reset warning car taken to Peter Vardy to investigate, Peter Vardy had car 7 days and could not resolve, light came on again returned and received Turbo repair (£1400 approx.) covered under warranty but took nearly 3 weeks to fix, now has issues with brake and awaiting parts for another repair. This has all been happening since the end of June. Emails to everyone I could find on LinkedIn, Customer service, Peter Vardy's PA, branch managers, Managing Partners and Mr Peter Vardy himself have not resolved or even had a response nor have I been compensated for time, fuel , food as overlapping with Meal times and 2 young children and a new mother. Its gotten to the point were taking a packed meal to visit as know well be there for hours. Over 50 hours wasted with travel, and every time in branch 2+ hours waiting for something to happen, Most management don't want to know, Managing Partner was not even interested, Managers not communicating to each other. Calling the branch and no one calling back ever, having to visit Branch to try and chase up/resolve. There £10 a week deal and half price deals were not honoured either with one calculation wrong and the other non existent, Used sales manager goes on holiday and no one else dealing with these issues. I'm awaiting a response from finance company as they own the vehicles, however anyone who supplied vehicles in this condition should not be in business. Courtesy car dirty, dented scratched, now in my 4th one in less than 2 months says it all. Wife in tears on more than one occasion, we visit that often my 2 year old thinks its a play centre and goes in straight away for his goodie bag and a play in the kids rooms. Have had many dealings with other franchised dealers, but none have ever or in my mind will ever come close to the poor service, goods or attitudes of the majority of colleagues in Peter Vardy. Not all are poor but unfortunately for the ones that help and are kind of supportive they are in the minority. Please if you value your time, money, energy and life go elsewhere. If you don't listen to this and many other honest reviews read up on your rights, contact Consumer advice, and prepare to sink in most of your free time to resolve.

If I could give Peter Vardy Vauxhall Edinburgh no stars I would, Short version: We dealt with Ronnie & Kevin in Peter Vardy Vauxhall Edinburgh, regarding repairs for our car. Team is the height of unprofessionalism, they are absolute cowboys. They misquoted us, returned 1 phone call out of 8. Took 30 days to repair something that was quoted at 10 days maximum & topping it all off they scratched our car whilst they were at it. If you love you car, or even have a modicum of respect for it, please don't go here. Long version [It's a heartbreaker kids]: Our Astra VXR broke down on Thursday 7th February, we took it to Peter Vardy Vauxhall to be repaired. Everything went fine with booking it in, at the time we were quoted £265 due to a mechanism the controls the clutch failing and breaking. Part to arrive in 7-10 days from Germany. All downhill from there, we started enquiring about when the car was going to be fixed at about 2 weeks after it was left in. This was via phone calls, which they did not feel had to be returned, took 4 phone calls on different days. Phone manner is absolutely atrocious, on the last phone call the gentleman on the phone rudely asked "didn't you call yesterday?" in, we replied yes we did you marked it as urgent and we still didn't get a call back [just like the past 4 times]... Partner went down in person after radio silence, at this stage 3 weeks after the car was left in. We got the whole excuse which was, "The supplier no longer sells that part separately and they just e-mailed us today" [After 3 weeks aye] to inform us the part is no longer sold separately at £3 (yes folks £260 labour costs) and instead only came in the cluster of parts which was now £95. So for the inconvenience they would just not charge us the extra £92 despite it being their fault that we were misquoted in the first place. At this stage, parts coming from local supplier, it'll be done Friday soonest and Monday latest. No such luck, took them another 8 days to repair the car. Got the call Friday 8th march to come pick it up, should be happy at this stage right? The car was filthy sitting in the parking bay [I wish I had taken a photo], it had road dirt on it before we left it in, but exterior and even the interior was now disgusting. Partner went in to get it cleaned. This took a further hour. Surprise surprise, a nice little collection of scuffs, scratches & a small dent remained on the driver side door [car was pristine when left in their care]. This could only have been done by the dealership and not by another car as there was no damage to the mirror which protrudes from the door. so was obviously done by machinery/trolley or some sort. Unapologetic and very rudely told that oh the scuffs have dirt in them so they're not fresh. [You'd had the car an entire month and it was much filthier than when we left it...] "We can polish them out if you want us too." At this stage, truly shocked and appalled at how they behaved. We left. Thanks for reading our tale of woe. Please don't trust them if you love your car, please for the love of all that is good take your car elsewhere. These guys are absolutely miserable.

Poor service from both the sales and service department at Peter Vardy Vauxhall Edinburgh. Sold a car that was not quality controlled. Drove it for he first time and the parking sensors were not functional, window regulators needed replacing and broken boot shelf. It took Peter Vardy Edinburgh nine months to eventually sort these three issues over which time more problems with the car arose. Several emails, phone calls and failed attempts at scheduling a professional meeting and I have been offered £250. Doesn’t begin to cover my petrol and phone expenses let alone compensate. External mini dealerships have viewed the car and commented on the poor workmanship and ended up making the final repairs on the regulators themselves. The parking sensors again had to be fixed by an external company and no explanation for why I wasn’t told that they weren’t Mini fitted prior to sale has been offered. After complaining for several months I was disappointed to hear that my complaint had not even been passed to a customer service representative . Rather it had been ignored due to this particular member of staff not seeing an issue with the service provided.
