We purchased a wheelchair accessible vehicle from Pickering Motor Company on 5/5/2017. As we are located in Fife in Scotland and needed the vehicle A.S.A,P we chose not to go and view the vehicle , instead opting to take the word of the dealer as to the state of the vehicle. We agreed that the vehicle would arrive on Sunday the 7/05/2017 via their transporter. As agreed, the vehicle arrived on Sunday and was in the exact condition that we were told it was going to be. We were a little apprehensive in not viewing the vehicle before purchasing it , however we are more than happy with it.

Recently purchased a large wheelchair area Caddy (20 months old) via the internet from Pickering Motor Company. Unfortunately due to our geographical position and difficulty in actually viewing vehicle (I live in Norfolk), was reliant on Pickerings to be honest regarding condition. When questioned Pickerings staff assured me vehicle was in A1 condition with no major scratch damage and that the alloy wheels were good. On receipt of vehicle I found that there were major scratch across a large area of the roof (some down to the metal) and all the wheels had been curbed in several areas. I have had the damage costed to repair which will be around £350 -£400. In addition to this, the roof upholstery is stained in several places and the rear seat upholstery is torn. The vehicle had 38000 + miles which is fairly high mileage for a disabled registered vehicle of that age and it certainly shows. While I accept it is my fault for not viewing the vehicle prior to purchase and what is, is! However, the least I would expect from a WAV supplier is total honesty, which I feel I did not get in this case! As a result I would advise future customers of this dealership to view their proposed purchase before buying and be very wary of their claims.

We live in Blackpool and visited the forecourt at Pickering Motor Company to be overwhelmed with the knowledge and help provided by staff. Purchased a VW caddy which was exceptional value for money and tuned out to be exactly what we wanted. Five out of five stars from me.

I saved nearly two thousand pounds compared to other wheelchair accessible dealers in the north west!! I have always believed it pays to shop around, but don't waste your time as you will always finish up at pickering motor company's website guaranteed. First time buying a wheelchair adapted car for our daughter without seeing it first. The car came very quickly at our doorstep to Cornwall December 2016. It came late, it was dark and we could not check it properly. Everything went smoothly but after 2 months I was driving and the exhaust fell off. Took the car to 5 different garages to mend it but 4 of them couldn't fix it or replace it. They all told me it needs replacing completely as it was finished and had holes in it. Cutting long story short one garage managed to do it stainless steel because of the adaptation he needed to bend the pipes, it costed me £500, I did get £200 back from Pickering Motor Company but the point is it was very stressful for the whole family. You don't expect this to happen after having the car only 2 months and on a 4 year old car. Having said this we are happy with the car, it meets my daughter's needs and ours. I just have to be more careful next time!

This was my first experience of purchasing a wheelchair access car and I was a little nervous, especially buying online without seeing the vehicle first, however we paid for a Peugeot Partner and it was delivered within two days. I was extremely pleased with the whole experience and how easy the transaction took place. The Peugeot has already made my lifer easier to complete normal day to day tasks.
