You want a vehicle that costs you a fortune then opt for a fiat. I have a fiat 500l, spent more time in the garage than on my drive. Only hadIit since February!!!! I had an error message for the oil that needed changing. Had it done in my local garage for £50, but they could not reset the error message on my dash. Took it to platts to ask them to do it only to be told that they only have the system to do it and they won't reset it unless they have carried out the work. I provided the receipt and they still would not reset the light, nice little money earner if all work needs to be carried out by them at extortionate prices!!!!!!! Will not have another fiat again, I would rather use public transport it is more reliable lol

I have had two Fiats now from Platts and I'd highly recommend them. Both service and sales staff are highly knowledgable and Calum was excellent throughout my sale as I was very impatient! I'd definitely recommended to family and friends.

If I could rate 0 out of 5 I would , brought a fiat 500 automatic abarth for my girlfriend in June 2015 and have to many complaints to list. The main ones are as follows The car was handed over late and un taxed even though we're were assured it was so my girlfriend was driving around uninsured until she had a letter form the DVLA telling her to tax her car or face a fine, the advert stated that it had sat nav and it hasn't , they said it didn't say that but we have the original advert. None of the buttons on the steering wheel work for the audio or the hands free phone, they say that this isn't covered on the 12 month warranty. And the main one for me is when it went back for a fault with the audio a member of staff ,quite freely admitted to my girlfriend that it's the fastest abarth he's ever driven because he used it to go home in,without our permission, the previous evening because even though they have hundreds of cars , he didn't have any other way of getting home On top of all of this there is other issues such as poor communication, false promises, arrogant staff , and the inability to return a call

Recently purchased a Fiat 500 for our daughter through Platts Longton. We found Rob Richardson the salesman extremely pleasant and helpful throughout. Nothing was too much trouble. Having arrived at the garage after closing to look at Fiats he came over and spent a good 15 minutes or more with us explaining about the particular car we were interested in. On purchasing the vehicle he made the whole experience quick and effortless. Would definitely recommend.

Buying a car from Platts Garage in Stoke has seriously been one of the worst experiences of my life. My advice is simple DO NOT USE THEM. I had numerous problems too many to speak of. The car went in running absolutely perfect, it needed a part replacing which had nothing to do with the drive of the car and my usual garage wasn't available. It came out with the steering wheel lopsided, loads of screws left in the car & tools. The car developed an issue were it continually pulled to the right. Half the electronics stopped working and loads of error messages came on. They failed to reconnect things back up so clearly wasn't road tested. There was also missing items from my car that I searched high and low for. When I said property had gone missing and I returned to the garage to ask where is was the following day, low and behold it turned up!!! I have now noticed other things missing like my car cover seat for the dog which was expensive that was in the boot. I was apologised too and promised that it would be resolved by someone who I thought I could trust and was honest. They resolved around 5-6 issues that they caused when it had one simple fault when it went in. The final issue of the car pulling to the right was sorted and I was promised it was resolved and apologised too. 2-3 weeks later I now find out HOW they resolved the pulling to the right on my car. I noticed my left tyre looked flat, I thought I may have a puncture, I checked the pressure front tyres should be 30psi back 32psi. My left front tyre was 23 Psi. I pumped it back up to 30 Psi it has not gone down in over a week, no puncture and guess what, the pulling to the right has come back. Do not use this garage with tricks like this they have NO REGARD FOR PEOPLES SAFETY and the engineers they employ clearly have no clue they just damage your car CLUELESS, really they should be ashamed of themselves, they have caused more damage to my car when the fix was simple. It also ended up taking around 10 days when I was told it was a half day job. Lots of errors have now developed on the car and error messages have started to come up. The car was pretty faultless for 3 years until they got their hands on it. Upset off is an understatement.

I decided to buy a new Fiat 500 for my wife from Platts Garage in Stoke On Trent, it was her first ever new car and I wanted it to be special. Big Mistake using Platts Garage. The car arrived late and my wife was late for work, no phone calls and no apologies. The car was dirty and covered in tree sap which she had to clean off the next day! On delivery the salesman asked for £500 which stressed my wife out as we didn't owe them any money. A plastic piece of the dash fell off and I had to fit it back on. They gave my wife the wrong number plate description though she went to the trouble of reading it back and he said it was right, so was driving uninsured in a brand new car. On top of that they have never once returned one phone call, never called to ask if we were happy with the car or have given us any kind of customer service. We went to the garage to complain and were promised a new set of mats for the car, my wife had to phone about them (as usual) only to find out the manager had gone on holiday and not even mentioned the mats to anyone. I also told them the car was for my wife, but my name was on the logbook. When we went to see the manager he said he would write a letter to the DVLA about it to get it changed but we have so far not received it (no doubt he was too busy packing for his holidays to be bothered). To say that we are totally disgusted with Platts is an understatement! On top of that they never even offered us any kind of refreshment at any point whilst buying the car or when we went back to complain................not that, that did much good. Go to another garage, Platts dont care one bit about their customers, I've been treated better by garages where I didn't even buy a car. The only good thing I got was the deal and if it wasn't for that, they would have had it back.

I can totally sympathise!!! had some similar issues last November when I bought a brand new Ypsilon. One year on and I am just about to take it back for about the 4th or 5th time regarding my exhaust. Have just called as they have not replied to two emails. So fed up.
